Objective Our study aims to investigate the inhibitive effects of miR -124 on the growth of breast cancer cell MCF -7 induced by paclitaxel .Methods MTT was used to detect the growth inhibition of MCF-7 induced by paclitaxel .Flow cytometry was used to detect the effect of paclitaxel on cell cycle .Real-time quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expressive level of miR -124,while MCF -7 cells were treated with paclitaxel .MiR-124 inhibitor was transfected into MCF -7 breast cancer cells ,and growth in-hibition was detected by MTT .Results The results showed that paclitaxel could significantly inhibit the growth of breast cancer cell line MCF -7 by blocking the G2 phase.The results from qRT-PCR showed that the relative expression of miR-124 was increased when the dosage of paclitaxel was increased .When the expression of miR-124 was inhibited ,the cell growth inhibition caused by paclitaxel was also prominently decreased .Conclusion The higher expression of miR -124 in MCF-7 induced by paclitaxel was dose dependent .And miR-124 in-hibitor can significantly influence the cell growth inhibition caused by paclitaxel .These results indicat that miR -124 plays an important role in paclitaxel -induced chemotherapy drug resistance ,and provides a new direction to solve the problem .

Objecave The effects of PGF2α on the reactive oxygen species generation and cardiomyocyte hypertrophy were examined in experiments on the cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes.It is to study the role of ROS in the signaling pathway of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy induced by PGF2α.Methods The level of intracellular ROS wag measured by the ROS-specific probe 2',7'-dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCF-DA).Cardiomyocyte hypertrophy was determined by total protein content of the cells and the cell diameter.Results In the cardiomyocytes treated with PGF2α(1nmol/l,10nmol/l,100nmol/l),the fluorescence intensity of intracellular DCF-DA increased by 38.99%,61.76% and 93.55% respectively compared with control group(F=195.69,P＜0.01).It is indicated that PGF2α can induce intracellular ROS generation on the cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in a dose-dependent manner.Compared with control group,the total protein increased by 39.51%, 69.93%and 139.06%respectively(F=74.014,P＜0.01),and the cell diameter increased by 29.02%,60.79%and 127.40%respectively(F=721.02,P＜0.01).It is indicated that PGF2α induce cardiomyocyte hypertrophy on the cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in a dose-dependent manner.Conclusion PGF2α can induce intracellular ROS generation and cardiomyocyte hypertrophy on the cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in a dose-dependent manner.

Objective To investigate the effects and mechanisms of extract of ginkgo biloba(EGb)on the cell of cardiocyte hypertrophy induced by prostaglandin F2 alpha.Methods normal cells were used as negative control,and spontaneously PGF2? and EGb were used as experimental groups.The cells were isolated and cultured on cultured neonatal rat cardiocyte by PGF2?,cardiocyte hypertrophy was determined by the cell surface and the total protein of cells;the level of intracellular ROS measured by the fluorescence microscope.Results In cardiocyte hypertrophy,the cell surface,the level of intracellular ROS and the total protein of cells increased significantly in cutured neonatal rat cardiac treated with PGF2?.Compared with cells treated with PGF2?,EGb(40?g/ml,80?g/ml,100?g/ml)inhibited cardiocyte hypertrophy by PGF2?-induced,decreased in the cell surface by 19%,27%,33% and in the total protein of cells by 21%,39%,47% respectively(all P

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of color ultrasound guided coarse needle bioptic histo-pathology in the diagnosis of retroperitoneal solid mass. Methods 32 cases with retroperitoneal solid mass accepted coarse needle biopsy (CNB) guided by color ultrasound, and followed to surgical mass resection. The histopathologi-cal result of CNB was compared to the post-operative pathological diagnosis. Results CNB were successful in all ca-ses and no complications occurred. Compared with the pest-operative pathology,the accuracy of CNB was 93.75% (30/32). There was no false-negative and very low rate of false-positive (3.13% ,1/32) of CNB in diagnosing ma-lignant tumor. Conclusions CNB guided by color ultrasound is a safe and an effective method in diagnosis of retro-peritoneal solid mass.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the serum high sensitive c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and prealbumin (PAB) and the acute heart failure during the early stage of acute myocardial infarction (MI) patients.Methods A total of 181 MI patients (male:n =154,85.1％ vs.female:n =27,14.9％),admitted between Seppember 2010 and September 2012,were enrolled.They were divided into heart failure group (n =114,63.0％) with Killip classification recorded and control group (n =67,37.0％) without heart failure.The levels of serum hs-CRP and PAB were determined from the venous blood in the followed morning after admission.The clinical data were analyzed by logistic regression,Spearman correlation,and ROC curve.Results The serum level of hs-CRP (mg/L) in the heart failure group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P =0.000),while the serum level of PAB (mg/L) in the heart failure group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P =0.000).High level of hs-CRP and low level of PAB were significantly correlated with Killip classification (rhs-CRP =0.234,Phs-CRP =0.003 ; rPAB =-0.321,PPAB =0.000).Serum hs-CRP (P =0.023,OR 1.086,95％ Cl 1.012-1.167) and PAB (P =0.038,OR O.991,95％ CI O.983-0.999) were the independent risk biomarkers of acute heart failure subsequent to myocardial infarction determined by multivariate logistic regression analysis.The area under the ROC curve:AUChs-CRP =0.722,95％ CI 0.651-0.786; AUCPAB =0.723,95％ CI 0.652-0.787.Conclusions With high level of serum hs-CRP or low level of serum PAB during the early stage of acute myocardial infarction,patients were predisposed to the development of acute heart failure consequently.Both of them are the independent risk biomarkers of acute heart failure subsequent to myocardial infarction.Furthermore,they were significantly correlated with severity of the heart failure in terms of Killip classification.

Objective This experiment was to analyze the impacts of lip -reading information on hearing im-paired subjects'sentence recognition got in noisy environment in comparing with the results obtained from the listen-ing and audio -visual testing ways .Methods Fourteen moderate hearing impaired subjects with 55 .4 ± 9 .1 years old were postlingual deafness .Their sentence recognition ability were tested in noisy environments with speech and audio-visual information separately (speech intensity :30 dB SL ,SNR:5 dB) .Results Compared with the sentence recognition administered in the speech information condition 73 .79% ± 7 .95% ,the subjects sentence recognition un-der the audio -visual condition was 86 .57% ± 5 .42% ,which was significantly different (P<0 .05) .Conclusion In noisy environment ,lip-reading can improve hearing impaired patients’ sentence recognition obviously .

Objective To get overview about diarrhea condition of HIV/AIDS cases among paid blood donors in our country. Methods One-to-one questionnaire was adopted to investigate a total of 285 HIV/AIDS cases among paid blood donors in Henan province. Diarrhea HIV/AIDS patients were further picked out according to 'Criteria of HIV/AIDS diarrhea'and their syndrome characteristics were analyzed. Results There was 41 diarrhea HIV/AIDS patients in all 285 HIV/AIDS cases (14.39%). Deficiency Syndrome and mixed insufficiency and excess syndrome were predominant Syndromes in these patients. Conclusion The rate of diarrhea in HIV/AIDS cases among paid blood donors of our country was lower than some foreign countries. Such internal organs as spleen, liver, kidney, stomach and lung were mainly involved in the disease.

Objective To observe the prevention effect of Hubai powder applied on navel for nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy with cisplatin.Methods 97 patients who received chemotherapy with cisplatin (75mg/m2 )were randomly divided into observation group(n =49)and control group(n =48).In the control group, 30min before chemotherapy,the patients were treated with intravenous granisetron 3mg as antiemetic;Based on the control group,the observation group were treated with Hubai powder 10g applied on Shenque point in the night before the chemotherapy until the end of the next morning after chemotherapy.The curative effect of the two groups were observed.Results The acute vomiting rate of the observation group was 83.7%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(60.4%)(χ2 =5.423,P =0.019);The delayed vomiting rate of the observation group was 85.7%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(56.3%)(χ2 =8.867,P =0.003);The patient appetite of the observation group was obviously better than that of the control group,0 -Ⅰ degree occurrence rate of the two groups had statistical significance(χ2 =6.469,4.552,P =0.011,0.033);Ⅱ -Ⅲ degree occurrence rate of the two groups did't have statistical significance.Conclusion Hu Bai powder umbilicus can effectively prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy with cisplatin.

BACKGROUND:The patients with porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns who do examination of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can cause artifacts. In recent years, researching for MRI artifacts of different porcelain-fused-to-metal materials has been some progress, but there are less quantitatively reports on the MRI artifacts of different porcelain-fused-to-metal materials.
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the artifact sizes shown on fast spin-echo T 2-weighted sequence caused by different kinds of porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns.
METHODS:Forty-eight lower right first molar crown patients who had MRI examination in MRI room were enrol ed. The patients were divided into nickel-chromium al oy group, cobalt-chromium al oy group and titanium crown group. Al patients were examined with fast spin-echo T 2-weighted sequences by means of 1.5 T MRI apparatus. MRI artifacts areas of same sequence on the MRI images of different porcelain-fused-to-metal materials were analyzed with variance test.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Forty-five cases appearing to have high signal samples with clearly curved boundary zone that can be measured were selected, 15 cases for each material. Different artifact sizes were produced on the same sequence of different porcelain-fused-to-metal materials, which were (321.67±33.29) mm in the nickel-chromium al oy group, (263.53±34.95) mm2 in the cobalt-chromium al oy group, and (143.67±31.13) mm2 in the titanium crown group. There were significant differences between groups (P<0.05). The artifact size is smal est for the titanium crown and largest for the nickel-chromium al oy crown.

Objective To understand the clinical and pathological characteristics of idiopathic membranous nephropathy,and to investigate their relationships in the elderly patients.Methods The clinical and pathological data of idiopathic membranous nephropathy diagnosed by renal biopsy in the recently 10 years in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed and compared.Results Sex composition variable was not significant between elderly and non-elderly groups,with male accounting for 57.4％ and 59.2％ respectively (P＞0.05).The ratio of idiopathic membranous nephropathy in primary glomerular disease was higher in the elderly than in non-elderly group (42.8％ vs.17.4％,x2 =119.058,P＜0.01).The course of the disease,the occurrence of edema,hypertension,levels of blood urea nitrogen,serum creatinine,blood IgG,IgA and IgG/IgM ratio were higher,while glomerular filtration rate and blood IgM level were lower in elderly group than in non-elderly group (all P＜0.05).The risk for membranous nephropathy was higher in elderly than in non-elderly group (Z=-5.853,P＜0.01).Nephrotic syndrome was common in the clinical diagnosis in the two groups,but it was more common in elderly group than in non-elderly group (x2 =6.825,P=0.033).Membranous nephropathy stage Ⅱ was common in the two groups,and there were no significant differences in the pathological stages,clinical manifestations and their relationships between the two groups (all P＞0.05).Conclusions The risk for idiopathic membranous nephropathy is higher in elderly group than in non-elderly group.Edema,hypertension and renal dysfunction occur more commonly in elderly patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy.
