Objective To observe the intervention effect of Wuxing-Jiangu exercise for different syndrome types of elderly patients with chronic low back pain. Methods A total of 199 patients who met the criteria of chronic low back pain (CLBP) were divided into a Wuxing-Jiangu exercise group (86 cases), a control group (85 cases) and a health education group (28 cases). On the basis of health education, theWuxing-Jiangu exercise group was given Wuxing-Jiangu exercise; the control group was treated with the warm type frequency therapeutic instrument; health education group was only given health education guide. The changes of the score of CLBP patients before and after treatment with different syndrome types were observed. Results After 3 months of treatment, the score of the kidney deficiency syndrome and spleen deficiency syndrome in the Wuxing-Jiangu exercise group, the control group and the health education group had significant differences (H were12.554, 8.014, respectively;all P<0.01); After 3 months of treatment, the score of kidney deficiency syndrome and spleen deficiency syndrome in the Wuxing-Jiangu exercise group reduced than before the treatment (Z were -5.975,-5.025, respectively)and 1 month after the treatment(Z were -5.976,-5.026, respectively) (all P<0.01).Conclusion Wuxing-Jiangu exercise can reduce the score of the kidney deficiency syndrome and spleen deficiency syndrome and improve clinical syndrome.

Objective:To investigate the influence of dendritic cells modified by hIL-10 on proliferation and cytotoxicity of lymphocyte in experimental animals. Methods:The modified dendritic cells were injected intraperitoneally into C57BL/6 mice to sensitize it. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) of sensitized or unsensitized C57BL/6 mice act as reactive cells, dendritic cells modified or unmodified by hIL-10 act as stimulation cells. These two type cells co-cultured for 6 days. MTT assay was used to detect lymphocyte proliferation. Lactate dehydrogenase release method was used to examine the cytotoxic activity. Results:The results showed that IL-10 can inhibit lymphocyte proliferation reaction of unsensitized or sensitized C57BL/6 mice. Lymphocyte proliferation induced by modified dendritic cells is significant lower than that by unmodified dendritic cells. Modified dendritic cells can resist the cytotoxic activity of cytotoxic T lymphocyte. Conclusion:Dendritic cells stably expressing IL-10 can obviously decrease lymphocyte proliferation response of allogenic mice and reduce the cytotoxic activity.

AIM: To investigate the clinical significance in determination of the P- selectin levels in subjects with prethrombotic state or thrombosis by flow cytometry (FCM). METHODS: The P- selectin expression on platelet membrane in 42 patients with diabetes mellitus, 33 with hyperlipidemia, 23 with cerebral infarction and 20 healthy individuals, were analyzed using fluorescently - labeled SZ - 51 by direct FCM comparing with indirect FCM and enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RESULTS: The level of P- selectin on platelet membrane is higher in DM (23.92 % + 15.83 % ), in hyperlipidemia ( 18.34 % + 9.46 % ) and in cerebral infarction ( 19.32 % + 10.38 % ) than normal subjects (3.38 % + 1.11% ) ( P < 0.01 ). In addition, similar results on P - selectin were obtained by indirect FCM and ELISA in patients with DM and cerebral infarction. CONCLUSION: FITC - labeled SZ - 51 - IgG can be used in FCM, and it would be a new and sensitive method in detecting platelet activation.

Objective:To study the expression of EG-1 in thyroid cancer tissue and analyze its correlation with clinical prognosis. Methods:EG-1 mRNA levels in malignant thyroid tissues were evaluated by RT-PCR. All patients were followed up. The survival rates were analyze in EG-1 positive group and EG-1 negative group. Benign thyroid tissues were used as control. Results:EG-1 was expressed in thyroid cancer. The differences between expression of malignant thyroid tissues and benign thyroid tissues were statistically significant (P

AIM:To observe the antioxidation and the serum lipid lowing effects of polyphenols in luffa cylindrical on experimental hyperlipidemia mice.METHODS:Acetone was used to extract polyphenols from luffa cylindrical. The content of polyphenols was determined by Folin-ciocalteau method. The inhibitory efficacy of the extracts from luffa cylindrical to the production of OH? free radical was measured.Kunming mice were used to establish the hyperlipidemia model by feeding high fat diet. The freeze-dried fresh luffa cylindricals was added to the treated animals, xuezikang was also used as a positive control. After feeding high-fat food for 14 days, serum were collected to measure the total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and superoxidedismutase(SOD).The liver tissue was also collected for determining malonaldehyde(MDA)content.RESULTS:(1)Content of polyphenols in fresh luffa cylindrical was(0.3?0.1)g /kg.(2)The polyphenol extracts from fresh luffa cylindrical had a strong efficacy to inhibit the production of OH? free radicals.(3)The trend of body weight gain in groups LC1(low dosage luffa cylindrical)and LC2(high dosage luffa cylindrical)became slow down obviously, compared with that in group HPL(high-lipid model).(4)The levels of TC(4.19?0.37)mmol/L and LDL-C(2.77?0.79)mmol/L in group LC1,TC(3.56?0.55)mmol/L and LDL-C(2.34?0.41)mmol/L in group LC2,TC(4.59?0.96)mmol/L and LDL-C(3.25?0.67)mmol/L in group PC(positive control)were all lower than those in group HPL(P

Objective To analyze the consistency of two rapid antigen assays for the diagnosis of influenza A and B. We evaluated the clinical usefulness of silver amplification immunochromatography influenza virus detection kit. Methods Nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected from patients who were suspected of influenza at Huashan Hospital between January and February 2015. Two samples were collected from the same one patient. The samples were tested simultaneously by using IMMUNO AG Cartridge Flu AB kit (AG1) and commercial immunochromatographic assay kit, Clearview exact influenza A&B (CV). PCR method was used as reference. Results A total of 91 samples were tested, of which 7 were positive for influenza A and 53 positive for influenza B by AG1 system; 7 positive for influenza A and 50 positive for influenza B by CV system; and 8 positive for influenza A and 60 positive for influenza B by PCR. The sensitivity and specificity of the AG1 system were 87.5 % and 100 % for influenza A, and 88.3 % and 100 % for influenza B; while the CV system showed sensitivity and specficity of 87.5 % and 100 % for influenza A, 83.3 % and 100 % for influenza B. The AG1 system was 100 % consistent with the CV system in the positive rate of influenza A, and 94.3 % consistent with the CV system in the positive rate of influenza B.Conclusions The AG1 system is well consistent with the conventional immunochromatography-based diagnostic tests in diagnosis of influenza. The AG1 system is useful in earlier diagnosis of influenza due to fewer human error in result interpretation.
