AIM To study the effect of A 1015 on D galactosamine induced mice hepatotoxicity. METHODS The effect of three doses of A 1015 on DNA biosynthesis of D galactosamine induced mice hepatotoxicity were tested. The time curve of A 1015 on DNA synthesis of D GL induced mice hepatotoxicity was also observed. RESULTS The experiments demonstrated that 2 5 mg?kg -1 is the optimum dose for A 1015 to show liver protective activity. The results suggested that HGF can not only offset the hepatotoxicity induced by D GL, but also promote the DNA synthesis of mice liver cells. And the highest DPM value for HGF group is higher than that of A 1015 group. Thus both HGF and A 1015 showed anti hepatotoxic activity and promoting activity on mice liver cell DNA synthesis. CONCLUSION A 1015 may reduce liver necrosis induced by D galactosamine and promote the DNA synthesis of mice liver cells.

Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of Trk(tropomyosin receptor kinase) and Akt(protein kinase B), and to explore the neuroprotective role and its mechanism of β-NGF (β-nerve growth factor) after focal cerebral ischemia. Methods A focal cerebral ischemia rat model was made and β-NGF was injected intra abdominally. The phosphorylation of Trk and Akt were tested by immunocytochemistry and Western blot assay. Results Trk receptor was increased obviously in the penumbra area after 8 h of infarction. The level of phosphorylated Trk(p-Trk) was increased after 2 h of infarction, while the level of phosphorylated Akt(p-Akt) had a decrease and then recovered gradually. The level of p Akt in cerebral ischemia group was decreased by 76.5% compared with that in control group after 8 h of infarction(P<0. 01). After the injection of β-NGF, the level of p-Trk was increased by 74.4% after 12 h of infarction(P<0.01), while the level of p-Akt was recovered significantly after 8 h of infarction, and had no statistical difference compared with the control group after 24 h of infarction (P>0.05). Conclusions Ischemia induces the activation and increased expression of Trk receptor, andβ-NGF may play a protective role in cerebral ischemia by increasing the phosphorylation of Trk and regulating the phosphorylation of Akt.

Objective To design a kind of suitable equipment to collect the specimens from endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR),and observe the effect of the collector on clinical application. Methods The six-hole rotating collector was made from transparent glass,in which the specimens could be aspirated through the channel and remained in a mental net. A total of 813 cases with 1254 lesions in esophagus, stomach and large intestine were included in the study. All the cases were male 516,female 297,age in 7-90 years old (average 53.2 years). The collector was used for receiving these EMR specimens that less than 1cm in diameter. The final diagnoses were proved by histopathologic examination. Results The rotating collector was named as Transparent 6-hole Rotating Eodoscopic Specimen Collector, and registered as national patent. The collector was a round column type, about 160g in weight and 56 mm?60 mm in size, which was light, clear and easily cleaned, and worked well during clinical application. The total collecting success rate for specimen receiving is 93.3%. All the specimen samples kept undamaged and good for histological analysis. Conclusion The rotating specimen collector is useful and economic for endoscopic mucosal resection.

Objective To observe the prognosis 90 days after attack and the correlation among various risk factors in patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA). Methods The data of 90 days follow up and related risk factors of 61 patients clinically diagnosed with TIA were analyzed. We also compared the prognosis of those patients according to the change on diffusion weighted imaging (DWI). Results The incidence of various kinds of severe vascular events in 61 patients within 90 days was 16.4% (10/61). Among the patients with abnormal change on DWI, the incidence was 50% (8/16). However the incidence was 4.7% (2/43) in the patients with normal DWI. There was a statistical difference between the two groups (P

Objective To summarize the experience in diagnosis and treatment of ectopic ureter in children. Methods A total of 22 cases (21 females and 1 male;mean age of 4 years, range from 1 month to 12 years) of ectopic ureter were analyzed retrospectively.Of them,17 cases had unilateral ectopic ureters and 5,bilateral.Normal,divided urination accompanied by abnormal leakage of urine occurred in 18 cases;completely continous leakage of urine in 3;and obstruction of upper urinary tract with infection of urinary system in 1.Fourteen cases had opening of ectopic ureters in vaginas,4 in urethras,3 in vestibula and 1 in bladder necks. Results Of the 22 cases 20 underwent surgical procedures.Of the 20 cases,11 had total nephrectomy and 7,partial nephrectomy. After the operation, leakage of urine disappeared, but 3 cases had syndrome of ureteral stump remnant. One case who underwent bilateral ureter-bladder reimplantation had mild urinary incontinence after the operation. One case who had vesica replaced with rectum was followed up for 5 years, the post-operative result was excellent. Conclusions It is of critical importance to establish definite diagnosis and to select appropriate mode of operation for the successful treatment of ectopic ureter in children.
