The concentration of precursors for the production of taxol with Fusarium mairei K178 was optimized by response surface methodology.Firstly,Plackett-Burman design was undertaken to evaluate the effects of eight factors. With statistic regression analysis, the significant factors affecting taxol production were determined as follows: phenylalanine, sodium acetate and sodium benzoate.Box-Behnken design was used to optimize the three critical internal factors mentioned above, and the optimum concentration levels and the relationships among these factors was found out.By quadratic regression model equation with Design-Expert statistic methods, the optimal concentration of the variables were determined as: phenylalanine 2.8mg/L,sodium acetate 3.3g/L,sodium benzoate 31.8mg/L.Under such conditions, the taxol production was increased to 242.6?g/L,which was 15.6% higher than the maximum value in the single factor tests. The experiment values under the optimal conditions agreed with the predicted values, which indicated that the model was proper and effective.

OBJECTIVE:
To estimate the application of prognosis evaluation of ulnar nerve injury by 1H-magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS).
METHODS:
The metabolites of first dorsal interossei (FDI) of two hands from 12 healthy volunteers and 1 volunteer with complete ulnar nerve injury were detected by 1H-MRS and the data were statistically analyzed.
RESULTS:
For the FDI of healthy adults, the female peaks area of extra-myocellular lipids (EMCL) was higher than the male (P < 0.05); There was no significant difference in Cho, Cr and intra-myocellular lipids (IMCL) between male and female (P > 0.05); There was no significant difference in all the peaks area between the left and right hand (P > 0.05). The EMCL peak of the injury side was higher than that of the healthy side, and the area of FDI was reduced in the volunteer with ulnar nerve injury.
CONCLUSION
Noninvasive and quantitative detection of 1H-MRS may be valuable for prognosis evaluation of peripheral nerve injury.

The DNA structures could be altered or even damaged by exogeous or endogenous factors during cell proliferation. Failure of effective and timely repair will lead to cell cycle arrest or apoptosis. By taking the advantage of the quick proliferation of cancer cells, DNA damage induction, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis promotion have become important strategies for ant-cancer chemotherapy. Previous reports showed that an array of natural compounds inhibit cancer cell proliferation by inducing DNA damage, which have therapeutic potentials for anti-cancer drug research and development.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The deep fermentation technique of Tricholoma matsutake is systemically studied in this paper firstly. The best culture determined by orthogonal test is 3g/L of cornflour, 1g/L of glucose, 1g/L of bean cake flour, 1mL/L of corn steep liquid, 1g/L of KH 2PO 4. The best fermenting condition is: 25℃, rotating speed 160 r/min, pH5.0,inoculating amount 10%, 120mL culture medium per 500mL flask. Under these conditions, the mycelia reach 12.94g/L after fermenting 12d.

Phytases are studied widely in plants and microorganisms. Interest in these enzymes has been stimulated by the fact that phytase has the advantage in forage, food process and medicine. This paper reviews recent trends on the production, purification, properties and gene of microbial phytases.

An organic solvent tolerant isolate A213 originating from soil samples were successfully isolated via direct plating method using 10g/L of toluene as the sole carbon source and transparent cycle plate assay method. It was identified as Yarrowia based on its characteris- tics. The results in shake flask cultivation showed that the suitable tipase producing media were(g/L):yeast extract 40,vegetable oil 10, MgSO_4?7H_2O1,KH_2PO_4 5.Under optimal culture conditions (27℃and pH 6.5 ),the maximal lipase activity could reach 67.8 IU/ mL The optimal pH and temperature for the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl acetate by crude lipase were pH6.5 and 40℃The enzyme was sta- ble under 70℃and pH 5.5~8.5.Then isolate A213 was found to produce the lipase which can synthesize L-ascorbyl palmitate in tert-amyl alcohol validated by the thin-layer chromatography.

Objective To explore change of peripheral blood CD5+B cells in the systemic lupus ery- thematosus(SLE)patients and the association of this change with the disease activity,Methods The percent- age of CD5~+B ceils in peripheral blood in 57 patients with SLE and 35 healthy controls was determined by flow eytometry.Levels of anti-dsDNA,complement C3 and C4,anti-nuclear antibody(ANA),anticardiolipin anti- body(ACL),were also measured. Results The percentage of CD5~+B cell in SLE patients(2.1?0.4)% was high- er than that in normal controls [(1.5?0.4)%](P<0.05).In active disease group, the percentage of CD5~+B cells [(2.5?0.5)%] was significantly higher than that in inactive SLE patients [(1.4?0.5)% ](P<0.01).The percent- age of CD5~+B cell associated with anti-dsDNA,ANA,ALA positively, with C3 negatively and had no associa- tion with C4.Conclusion The percentage of CD5~+B cells in the SLE is significantly high and has correlation and some relationship with the SLE.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of fully covered self-expandable metal stents (FCSEMS) implanted by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for patients with benign biliary stricture (BBS).Methods The clinical data of 38 patients with BBS underwent ERCP and FCSEMS placement between January 2012 and January 2016 were retrospectively recorded.Success rate of BBS,adverse events related to ERCP and stricture recurrence were analyzed. Results A total of 38 patients underwent FCSEMS placement with a mean time of stent in dwelling for 8 months (range:3-13months).During follow-up after the stent was removed, death of 1 patient after liver transplantation was due to unrelated cause. The mean follow-up time was 13 months (range:2-52 months) for other patients.Stricture recurrence occurred in 6 patients, including 2 cases of gallstone-related biliary strictures,1 case of chronic pancreatitis-related biliary strictures,2 cases of liver transplantation-related biliary strictures, and 1 case of post surgical-related biliary strictures.Stricture resolution occurred in 31 cases with 83.8% (31/37) success rate, including 90.0% (18/20) gallstone-related biliary strictures,75.0% (3/4) chronic pancreatitis-related biliary strictures,80.0% (8/10) liver transplantation-related biliary strictures, and 66.7% (2/3)post surgical-related biliary strictures. The incidence of post-ERCP complications was 21.1% (8/38),including mild pancreatitis in 5 case, hyperamylasemia in 2 cases, cholangitis in 1 case. All patients were cured by conservative treatment. Conclusion FCSEMS are effective and safe for BBS.Further studies are needed to assess the indwelling time of FCSEMS,whether FCSEMS are superior to multiple plastic stents and the different efficacy of FCSEMS for BBS caused by different etiology.
