Objective: To establish Xiaochaihu Granules multi-wavelength fingerprints and conduct Bupleuri Radix-preparations peaks matching studies for further limitation validation of a single wavelength fingerprint quality evaluation. Methods: RP-HPLC was adopted to estimate the similarity on three batches of Xiaochaihu Granules from three manufacturers and three batches of Xiaochaihu Granules by laboratory-made (total 12 batches), and make peaks match raw herbs under the same conditions; the contents of indicator ingredients in different batches of Xiaochaihu Granules were determined by RP-HPLC method. Results: There was few differences of the fingerprint similarities among the three batches of Xiaochaihu Granules both from the same manufacture and laboratory-made at the wavelength of 210, 254, 280, and 323 nm. Among the fingerprints of Xiaochaihu Granules from different manufactures, the similarities of Xiaochaihu Granules only from manufacture A and of the three batches of Xiaochaihu Granules from the laboratory-made were over 0.9 under the four wavelengths. The similarities from the other two manufacturers were over 0.9 except 280 nm, but less than 0.9 at the wavelength of 210, 254, and 323 nm. At 210, 254, 280, and 323 nm wavelengths, peak pattern matching showed that Xiaochaihu Granules had 5, 5, 2, and 18 matching peaks with Bupleuri Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Codonopsis Radix, and Scutellariae Radix, respectively. The contents of glycyrrhizic acid and baicalin in Xiaochaihu Granules from different manufactures were significantly different. Saikosaponins a and d, ferulic acid, atractylenoide III, and lobetyolin were not detected in the formulations. Conclusion: There are great limitations to estimate quality of Xiaochaihu Granules with the fingerprint similarity at 280 nm. Multi-wavelength similarity evaluation combined with the peak matching of fingerprint for medicinal materials and preparations and quantitative determination of active components could provide a reference for the comprehensive quality evaluation of preparations for Chinese materia medica.

ObjectiveTo investigate the status medicine taking in rural schizophrenic patients.MethodsThe families of 217 schizophrenic patients in a town of Shaoxing rural area were investigated with self-made questionnaire.Results and Conclusion125 cases routinely took medicine(57.6%). The main reason caused patients to resist taking medicine was absence of family or family's care. The medicine were obtained from hospital, drugstore, free drugs from mental preventing organization, mail-order, half or more of them were free. Only 53.46% of the objects would like to receive free drugs. The most of the others want to give up. The objects suggested mental preventing organization to provide more kinds and costly free drugs, simplify procedures of obtaining drugs, permit to receive more drugs at a time and be more kindly.

Objective To study the influence of theaflavin on the expressions of TLR4 and release of TNF-αand IL-6 in primari-ly cultured rat airway epithelial cells .Methods Lipopolysacchride(LPS) was adopted to establish the in vitro inflammatory injury model of rat airway epithelial cell ,the TNF-αand IL-6 secreted by the airway epithelial cells and the TLR4 protein level in the air-way epithelial cells were detected with ELISA and the expressions of TLR4 mRNA was detected with RT-PCR .Results LPS sig-nificantly induced the airway epithelial cells to secrete TNF-αand IL-6 ,and enhanced the TLR4 mRNA and TLR4 protein expres-sion(P<0 .01) .Theaflavin could inhibit LPS induced TNF-αand IL-6 secretion and TLR4 gene expression(P<0 .05) ,which was related with the theaflavin concentration (P<0 .05) .Conclusion In rat airway epithelial cell culture ,the anti-inflammatory effect of theaflavin may be decrease the release of inflammatory cytokines via inhibiting TLR 4 gene expression and LPS/TLR4 signal trans-duction pathway .

Objective To investigate the delayed alteration of hippocampus proteome after an-esthesia with isoflurane in aduh and aged rats. Methods Ten 8-month-old SD rats were randomly divided into group Caduh and group Iadult (5 in each group) , and another ten 22-month-old SD rats were randomly divided into group Caged and group Iaged (5 in each group). The rats in group Iadult and group Iaged received 2 h anesthesia with 1.2 % isoflurane. The rats in group Cadult and group Caged inhaled 40% oxygen for contrast. The hippocampal proteome of each rat was measured by 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry. Results The vital signs of the rats in group Iadult and group Iaged were stable. There were 878±34 protein spots in group Cadult, 864±49 protein spots in group Iadult, 834±47 in group Caged, and 819±24 in group Iaged. There were 12 (4/8)different protein spots between group Iadult and group Cadult. There were 11 (3/8) different protein spots between group Iaged and group Caged. All of the protein spots were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS. Most of the different proteins were related to metabolism, anti-oxidation, and signal conditioning of synapse. Conclusion Isoflurane may cause the alteration of hippocampal pro-teome in rats, which is age-related.

Objective To investigate the imaging features and preoperative staging value of ultrasonic endoscopy and gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast in the gastric carcinoma examination.Methods One hundred and sixty eight patients with gastric carcinoma verified by operation and pathology in our hospital from October 2010 to October 2015 werecollected.Then their imageological data including ultrasonic endoscopy and gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast examinations were retrospectively analyzed and compared with the postoperative pathological results.Results The accuracy rate of preoperative T staging in ultrasonic endoscopy was significantly higher than that of gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast,the difference had statistical significance(P＜0.05);the accuracy rate of preoperative N/M staging in gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast was s1gnificantly higher than that in ultrasonic endoscopy,the difference had statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion Ultrsonic endoscopy and gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast have different advantages and values in preoperative staging:ultrasonic endoscopy has higher accuracy rate in the diagnosis of primary gastric carcinoma;gastrointestinal ultrasonic contrast is better in diagnosing metastasis of gastric carcinoma,moreover which shows the consistency with postoperative pathological staging.
