Abstract?AIM:To investigate the therapeutic effect of Lucentis in the treatment of anterior segment neovascularization ( ASNV ) induced by central retinal vein occlusion ( CRVO) .?METHODS: This was a retrospective case series study for patients with ASNV secondary to CRVO from January 2013 to December 2014 and treated with intravitreal injection of lucentis. Best visual acuity ( BCVA ) , intraocular pressure ( IOP ) , iris examination and gonioscopy, and if necessary, fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography, were recorded.The follow-up time was 6-13mo, the average was 9.1 ± 2.9mo.?RESULTS: Eighteen patients ( 18 eyes ) were treated with intravitreal injection of lucentis;15 patients (15 eyes) of the 18 were treated with panretinal photocoagulation;the other 3 patients 3 eyes were not received the photocoagulation because of vitreous opacity. One patient was treated with glaucoma valve implantation.Six patients with only neovascularization and without glaucoma were improved in visual acuity whose intraocular pressure was controlled after combined treatment.Of the patients with neovascular glaucoma ( n=12 ) , after intravitreal injection of lucentis and panretinal photocoagulation, the IOP was controlled in 4 patients (4 eyes);the IOP of another 7 cases reduced but glaucoma drugs were still needed.One patient ( 1 eye ) received glaucoma valve implantation because of bad control on IOP with worse vision after implantation.The rubeosis disappeared in all patients.?CONCLUSION:Intravitreal injection of lucentis can stop neovascularization and help to control IOP.In the early stage without neovascular glaucoma, lucentis has better effects, which means early detection and intervention are important.

Objective To explore the different characteristics of tumor recurrence after liver transplantation (LT)and hepatectomy(HC)in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The literatures about tumor recurrence of HCC after LT and HC were reviewed and their characteristics were compared.Results There are distinctions of recurrence rates,time,common sites between the recurred tumors after LT and HC,and their correlation factors and mechanisms of recurrence are also different.Conclusion Preventive measures should be strengthened and treatments should be more targeted according to the different characteristics of tumor recurrence after LT and HC to improve postoperative life quality and increase the survival rate.

Objective To evaluate the effect of Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection combined with Xuesaitong capsule on blood viscosity in patients with pulmonary heart disease.Methods 80 patients with pulmonary heart disease who were admitted to our hospital between January 2013 and November 2015 were studied,the patients were randomly divided into the combined group and the control group according to the order of admission,40 cases in each group.Control groups were treated with Xuesaitong capsule,and the combined group were treated with Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,blood viscosity(whole blood viscosity,plasma viscosity,whole blood viscosity ratio),blood indexes(blood platelet aggregation rate,erythrocyte aggregation index,erythrocyte deformation index),cardiac function and safety were observed.Results There were no significant differences in blood rheological indexes,LVEF,MAP and HR between the two groups before treatment.After treatment,the whole blood viscosity,plasma viscosity,whole blood viscosity ratio,platelet aggregation rate,erythrocyte aggregation index,erythrocyte deformation index,MAP and HR in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,while LVEF was significantly higher,and the changes in the combined group were more significant than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the clinical total effective rate of treatment in the combined group(88.89％)was significantly higher than that in the control group(62.50％).Conclusion Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection combined with Xuesaitong capsule is effective in the treatment of pulmonary heart disease.It can significantly reduce blood viscosity,blood related indexes and improve cardiac function.

Objectives To analyze the clinical features and outcome of typhoid fever complicated with hemophagocytic syndrome (Ty-AHS) in children.Methods The clinical data from one case of Ty-AHS was retrospectively analyzed, and related articles were reviewed.Results A 4-year-old boy suffered from persistent diarrhea, alternating high and low temperature, apathia, hepatosplenomegaly, manifestation of acute peritonitis, and pyoperitoneum. Routine blood examination showed that eosinophil was 0, and hemoglobin and platelet were obviously decreased; CRP and procalcitonin were obviously increased;plasma ifbrinogen was dropped to 0.8 g/L; lactate dehydrogenase was elevated to 3835 U/L; Serum ferritin was 1884 ng/mL;triglyceride was 2.42 mmol/L; EBV-DNA titer was 2.81×104 copies/mL; Blood culture showed salmonella enterica serotype IIIb. Abdominal ultrasonography showed enlargement of mesenteric lymph node and middle volume of pyoperitoneum. Chest X-ray showed pneumonia. Lymphocyte analysis showed that the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ was decreased; CD3-CD16+56+ cell and CD19+ cell were all decreased. Bone marrow cytomorphologic examination revealed that bone marrow hyperplasia was active, there were no obvious abnormalities in granulocyte, macrophage and macrophage and there were a lot of tissue cells and white blood cells. After two weeks of strengthened anti-infection and dexamethasone treatment, the symptoms in patients were disappeared, and signs and laboratory tests gradually returned to normal.Conclusions Ty-AHS is a rare complication in children with acute onset and rapid progression, and combination of antibiotics and hormone therapy is effective.

Varicella zoster virus (VZV) is a widespread human herpesvirus which causes chickenpox (varicella). VZV infection can produce a broad spectrum of neurologic disorders including multiple cranial nerve palsies. Among the cranial nerves, trigeminal and facial nerves are the most commonly involved. However, multiple lower cranial nerve palsies caused by VZV infection is very rare. It is a diagnostic dilemma for VZV infection if there are no skin or mucosa lesions, which are characteristic signs of VZV infection. We report the case of a 54-year-old man with sudden right hearing loss, sore throat, odynophagia, hoarseness, dysphagia and vertigo. Pure tone audiometry revealed right sensorineural hearing loss and laryngoscopy proved that there were paralyses of the right upper pharyngeal constrictor muscle and vocal cord. These findings were consistent with acute unilateral vestibulocochlear, glossopharyngeal and vagus nerve palsies. There were no skin or mucosa lesions noted in our patient. The diagnosis was assisted by the existence of anti-VZV serum IgM even if the polymerase chain reaction result was negative. The symptoms of the patient improved after receiving anti-viral therapy. We emphasize the role of VZV infection in multiple cranial nerve palsies and the importance of serologic test.

AIM:To evaluate the poor vision condition and analyze the myopia etiological factor in primary school He'xi district of Sanya.
METHODS: A cohort of 1 218 subjects were recruited randomly from grade 1~6 of two primary schools. Visual activity test, dioptroscopy and risk factor questionnaire were evaluated.
RESULTS: The prevalence of poor vision was 29. 55%. The incidence of myopia increased with grade, and was significantly higher in girls than that in boys. The outdoor activity time of myopic pupil ( 7. 25 ± 5. 35h/wk ) was significantly lower than emmetropic pupil (11. 86±6. 65h/wk) ( P < 0. 05 ). The usage of electronic product ( TV, computater and cell phone) time of myopic pupil (13. 36±8. 35h/wk) was significantly higher than emmetropic pupil (7. 75±5. 83h/wk) (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: The increase of myopia incidence is closely related with sparing outdoor activity and excess usage of electronic product.

Objective To explore the preventive and therapeutic effect of recombinant human interleukin-11(rhIL-11) on thrombocytopenia in children with non-lymphocytic leukemia after chemotherapy.Methods Sixteen children who had non-lymphocytic leukemia were divided into 2 groups by randomization,including a therapeutic group and a control group.RhIL-11[50 ?g/(kg?d)] was injected subcutaneously 24 h after chemiotherapy in the therapeutic group,and applied consecutively 10-14 days,and the control group was treated without RhIL-11.Duration of the thrombocytopenia,infusion of blood platelet,diversity of blood platelets counts and adverse effect were observed of the 2 groups.Differences between groups were examined using statistics analysis.Results There were 16 case-times(59.3%) in the therapeutic group that of could be cured without platelet transfusion,but that of control group only had 3 case-times(14.3%);the diffe-rence between 2 groups was significant(P

Objective: To evaluate the distribution and degradatio n of albumin microspheres (AMS) with average diameter of 56.3 ?m injected into jugular external artery.Methods: 125 I labeled AMS we re injected into rabbit's jugular external artery. The radioactive amount of loc al tissue and internal organs was measured. 760 ml/L urografin angiography was e mployed to observe the re opening of embolized vessels after AMS infusion of e xternal jugular artery in 5 dogs. Results: The AMS was mai nly concentrated in the target area (92.23%) after injection. The micro artery was obviously embolized by AMS and re opened in 7～9 days. Conclusio n : The AMS can be used as the drug bearer with delayed releasing eff ection.
