OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for content determination of eucalyptol in Chimonanthus Zhejiangensis. METH-ODS:GC was conducted with Zebron ZB-WAX capillary column with temperature programmed;FID detector was used with the temperature of 250 ℃;the volume temperature was 220 ℃ and the carrier gas was nitrogen with high purity. RESULTS:Eucalyp-tol had a good linear relationship in the range of 0.017 69-1.415 mg/ml(r=0.999 1);the RSDs of precisions, stability and reproduc-ibility tests were no more than 1.87%and the average recovery was 99.72%(RSD=0.65%,n=6).There were big differences in dif-ferent areas of the same month and the maximum was more than one time (1.064%-0.450%);there were also big differences in the same area of different months(0.633%-1.064%). CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, accurate, fast and reproducible and suitable for the quality control of Chimonanthus Zhejiangensis.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of building core competencies evaluation system among emergency nurses. Methods 170 nursing staff in emergency department were chosen and were investigated about the general situation and previous training and training needs. Before and after training 170 nursing staff were tested for relevant knowledge, and the survival rate of critically ill patients and satisfaction degree of patients were taking for statistics. Results Training needs of core competencies of professional nurses in emergency department were as followed from high to low in sequence:first-aid equipment and facilities,first-aid skills, organization and coordination of emergency response and education and training. For nurses with different nursing work experience, the knowledge level about core competencies was also different, work experience > 5 years was significantly higher than those ≤ 5years,emergency equipment and facilities and knowledge level of first-aid skills showed significant differences. After training, the level of related nursing skills of 170 nurses was better than before,in the rescue of patients, the survival rate and satisfaction degree of patients was significantly higher than before the training. Conclusions Building core competencies evaluation system for emergency nurses and applying it in clinic is feasible and has a positive meaning.

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2001;0(01):-
Objective To observe the effect of Compound Fuling Gancao Decoction(CFGD) on transforming growth factor ?1(TGF-?1) in pulmonary artery of rats with pulmonary hypertension(PH),and to explore its therapeutic mechanism for PH and pulmonary vascular remodeling. Methods Thirty SD male rats were randomized into the normal control group, model group, and CFGD(5.46g?kg-1?d-1) group.PH rats models were induced by intraperitoneal injection of monocrotaline(50mg/kg).The mean pulmonary artery pressure(MPAP) in rats was detected with the method of right cardiac catheterization, right ventricular hypertrophy index was calculated, histological changes of lung small artery were analyzed with pathological image analysis, and TGF-?1 expression in pulmonary artery was detected by immunohistochemical method. Results MPAP and right ventricular hypertrophy index were enhanced obviously, the number of muscular arteries and partially-muscular arteries was increased, ratio of media area and luminal thickness in the muscular arteries became bigger, and TGF-?1 expression in pulmonary artery of the model group was increased. The above indexes were improved in CFGD group. Conclusion CFGD is effective on decreasing pulmonary pressure and improving pulmonary vascular remodeling, and its mechanism is probably related with the inhibition of TGF-?1 expression in pulmonary artery.

Objective To explore the initial clinical experiences of preoperative endovascular embolization of huge retroperitoneal neurogenic tumor. Methods 5 cases with retroperitoneal neurogenic tumor underwent endovascular embolization before operative resection since Aug.2006~May.2007.Digital subtraction angiography(DSA) was performed during processes in all cases and main tumor's vessels were embolized. Results The processes of endovascular embolization in 5 cases were successfully completed.0~400 ml blood were transfused in these cases. The tumors were excised completely in 4 cases and partly in 1 case. Conclusion Blood loss can be decreased by preoperative endovascular embolization for huge retroperitoneal neurogenic tumors. The extent of embolization should be performed according to individualization.

BACKGROUND: Heal-all oral biofilm is a material utilized in repairing oral mucosa and soft tissues defects and characterized by degradation, easily preparation, long preserved duration, convenient transportation and good ossification, which has been widely used in dental implant as guided bone regeneration materials.OBJECTIVE: To check the clinical effective of Heal-all oral biofllm on guided bone regeneration in dental implant.METHODS: A total of 72 patients with bone defects in the implantation area were selected as subjects, who were divided into control group and experimental group at random. Bone defects around implants were repaired by guided bone regeneration technique with BME-10X medical collagen membrane and Heal-all oral biofilm respectively. X-ray and clinical examination were taken at 1 and 3 months after implantation. The amount of new.formed bone tissue was evaluated when stage Ⅱ operation was performed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In stage Ⅱ operation, osseointegration was formed between implants and bone tissue in all 72 patients. The average rate of bone formation was 92% in the experimental group while 91% in the control group. All implants were successfully repaired with implant denture. Occlusal function was restored successfully with all 72 implants during the follow-up period of 3-24 months after restoration. As an alternative option of BME-10X medical collagen membrane, Heal-all oral biofilm can be used in guided bone formation clinically.

Objective To explore the risk factors of vascular cognitive impairment (VCI)among Chinese population, and to clarify the scientific evidences for further prevention and treatment. Methods PubMed,CNKI,CBM,VIP and Wangfang databases (from 2002.1 to 2013.1)were searched to collect case-control studies or cohort studies studying risk factors of VCI among Chinese population. Meta-analysis was performed to calculate combined odds ratio (OR)or mean difference (MD)and its 95% confidence interval (95%CI).Results A total of 42 proper papers involving 3 282 cases and 7 815 controls were included in the review. For categorical variables, pooled OR and its 95% CI were as follows:hypertension 2.56 (2.03 - 3.21 ), hyperlipidemia1.79 (1.39 - 2.30 ), hyperglycemia 2.46 (1.90-3.19),Leukoaraiosis 5.46 (2.60-11.46),cerebral infraction multiple foci 4.39 (2.61-7.38),stroke history3.79(2.35-6.11),left hemisphere lesions 2.13(1.42-3.20),smoking 1.51 (1.08-2.11),drinking 0.99(0.73-1.36),basal ganglia lesions 2.15(1.55-2.99),thalamus lesions 2.34(1.57-3.47);for continuous variables,MD and its 95%CI were as follows:level of TG 0.35(0.15-0.55),level of TC 0.44(-0.16-1.04),level of folic acid -4.10(-5.50- -2.69),vitamin B12 -130.44(-225.46--35.41).Conclusion Except for drinking and level of TC, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, leukoaraiosis, cerebral infraction multiple foci, stroke history, left hemisphere lesions, smoking, basal ganglia lesions, thalamus lesions, high level of TG,low level of folic acid and vitamin B12 might be the risk factors of VCI among Chinese population.
