n 3 fatty acids belong to essential fatty acids. It includes linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid ( EPA ) and docosahexaenoic acid ( DHA ). Many researches proved that n 3 fatty acids can suppress many kinds of tumor cells, and defense the occurrence of tumor. This article reviewed the effects and mechanism of n 3 fatty acids in defension and suppression of tumor.
4.Methionine Dependency and the Therapy of Tumor
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(04):-
Many malignant tumor have methionine dependency. Methionine restriction can inhibit proliferation of tumors cells by decreasing the level of methionine with depriving methionine, methioninase, homocysteine, and its analogs.Methionine restriction may act synergistically with chemotherapies to increase their efficiency and /or reduce their toxic side effects. Therefore, methionine restriction would become a new cancer treatment.

AIM To study the relation between the antiarrthymic effect and the inhibition of slow reaction cardiomyocyte of ethacizine(EC). METHODS The beating rate and action potentials of cultured slow response cardiomyocyte from neonatal rats was recorded. RESULTS EC 0 1~5 0 ?mol?L -1 produced a concentration dependent suppressing effect on spontaneous beating rate of cultured cardiac cells with IC 50 of 0 17 ?mol?L -1 and the maximal inhibitory rate was 52%.The steady state of inhibition to beating rate was achieved after adding EC for 15~30 min. The effective inhibition of beating rate by EC lasted for over 1 h.As EC 2 5 ?mol?L -1 depressed beating rate to the steady state ,effects of CaCl 2 2 mmol?L -1 and Iso 1 ?mol?L -1 on beating rate were partially reduced, and the effect of aconitine 0 2 mg?L -1 was abolished. EC 0 3~2 5 ?mol?L -1 pruduced the concentration dependent depression on APA,V max ,OS,SP 4 and MDP,and prolongation of SCL of the slow response action potentials.APD 90 was also lengthened at the concentration of EC 0 9~2 5 ?mol?L -1 . CONCLUSIONS The effective depression of EC on abnormal automaticity and conductance of the slow response cardiomyocyte in heart ischemic zone may be an important mechanism for its effective termination on some arrhythimas.EC may depress Ca 2+ ,especially Na + currents on slow response cardiomyocyte.

Since its discovery, the retinoblastoma (RB) tumor-suppressor protein has become a focal point of caner and cell cycle research, and subsequently discovered members(pRB,p107,p103) of the RBfamily have been proved to play a important role in the cell cycle and the development of cancer. RB regulates the cell growth, development and differentiation via the interactions with E2f and some other cytokines, and its alternation even make the tumor formation. In comparison with some other tumors, colorectal cancer(CRC) has the different expression of RB.We may assume that the different causes of CRC and some unique functions of RB in CRC lead to the alternation.

Objective To investigate retrospectively the therapeutic effect and safety of minimally invasive transthoracic device closure of isolated perimembranous ventricular septal defect (PVSD).Methods Eight hundred and ninety-one consecutive patients with PVSD from December 2008 to October 2014 in our hospital were enrolled, which performed minimally invasive transthoracic device closure of ventricular septal defect (VSD),with a 4 ~ 5 cm incision made on the inferior sternum.Under the guide of transthoracic echocardiography (TEE),right ventricular free wall was punctured followed by a delivery sheath threaded into the VSD and the occluder was released thereafter.Whether were there residual shunt and the occluder anchored firmly or not,the position of occluder and the influence on heart valve were re-evaluated intraoperatively by TEE.All patients were followed up prudently post-operation.Echocardiography and electrocardiogram were scheduled according to the protocol. Results Eight hundred and thirty-four cases were successfully occluded.Fifty-seven cases were performed VSD repair operation with cardiopulmonary bypass. The amounts of concentric occluder and eccentric occluder were 703 and 133,respectively.The patients performed minimally invasive transthoracic device closure of VSD had no severe complications after operation. Conclusions Although the short-term and mid-term therapeutic effect of minimally invasive transthoracic device closure of PVSD seem plausible to be definitive, with a favorable prospective application, the long-term follow-up remains to be studied.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(04):-
Objective To observe the influence of early postoperative enteral feeding on gastrointestinal motility after subtotal gastrectomy. Methods From December 1999 to February 2001,18 patients with advanced gastric cancer who had underwent gastrectomy were randomly allocated into enteral nutrition(EN) group ( n =9) and control group( n =9). The migrating motor complex (MMC) was recorded by Synectics MicroDigitrapper antroduodenal manometry and data was analyzed by Polygram software. Results MMC disappeared after subtotal gastrectomy in all patients, the first MMC recurred from 34 mins to 4 hours after the operation, while there was no significant difference between two groups. However,MMC in EN group was different from those in normal group which was lack of phase -Ⅱ at the early postoperative stage, the variation of MMC trended to become normal during 72 hours of consecutive observation. Compared with control group, the duration of MMC-phase-Ⅲ,area under the curve, transmit speed and motility index were different in EN group. Conclusion Early postoperative enteral feeding can help re-build the normal gastrointestinal motility .Further studies about patients' selections and nutrition preparations are needed.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and outcome of the subgroups of class V lupus nephritis (LN) . Methods 152 patients with class V LN proven by renal biopsy were classified into 2 subgroups according to the 1995 WHO modified classification of LN. Class Va (61 patients) referred to pure membranous glomerulonephritis. Class Vb (91 patients) referred to diffuse membranous glomerulonephritis with superimposed mesangial widening and/or mild to moderate hypercellularity, withdeposition of immune complex in the mesangial region. 488 patients with class Ⅳ LN in the same period werechosen as control. The clinical manifestations, serology examination, transformation of histopathological pattern and prognosis were compared between patients with class Va and class Vb. Results The incidence of hypertension, anemia in patients with class Vb were higher than that in class Va significantly (38. 5% vs 21. 3% , 72. 5% vs 52. 5% respectively, P
