thoracic, but the density of SKLI in the enlargement of the cervical segments is much higher than any other cervical segments. No SKLI was found in the ventral horn. It was also discussed that substance k may act as a neurotransmitter in nervous system.

BACKGROUND:Several studies have shown that Hero642 is a rotary nickel-titanium file with high safe performance, and its ability of root canal shaping is good.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical effect of single-visit root canal treatment using Hero642 nickel-titanium rotary instrument on teeth with chronic pulpitis and apical periodontitis.
METHODS:Total y 400 teeth with chronic pulpitis and apical periodontitis were operated by Hero642 nickel-titanium rotary instrument and nickel-titanium hand file, respectively. The efficiency of root canal preparation was taken. Pain reactions were recorded 1 week after operation and curative effects were evaluated 2 years after root canal treatment. Rates of pain and success were calculated at 1 week and 2 years after treatment, respectively.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The average time for root canal preparation was (3.57±0.76) minutes in the Hero642 group and (7.62±0.25) minutes in the hand file group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). After 1 week of treatment, the pain rates were 3.5%and 22.8%in the two groups, respectively, showing a significant difference (P<0.01). Two-year fol ow-up was performed, and ratios of success were 94.4%in the Hero642 group and 92.4%in the hand file group, but there was no difference between the two groups. Hero642 nickel-titanium rotary instrument for single-visit root canal treatment showed excellent efficiency on clinical treatment, reduced treatment period and had less postoperative reactions.

[Objective]To investigate the influence of the two different methods on the runtime of capsule endoscope in the small bowel.[Method]There were 31 patients who accepted the examination of capsule endoscope.Among these patients,we used pro- kinetic agents or gastroscope for 12 cases with capsule endoscope staying in the stomach for more than 60 minutes.We analyzed the influence on runtime of capsule endoscope in the small bowel with the two methods above and that of the 19 untreated cases. [Result]In the control group,15 cases completed the examination on the whole small bowel,with the average runtime 234.4?70.3min,and 4 of them failed.In medicine group,5 cases completed the examination with the average runtime 121.8?103.7min. 7 cases with the help of gastroscope all completed the examination on small bowel and its average runtime was 275.3?81.8min. [Conclusion]Taking prokinetic agents tends to have more influence on the runtime of capsule endoscope in the small bowel,but it has disadvantages over the observation of small bowel diseases;Help of gastroscope takes less effect on the runtime of capsule en- doscope in the small bowel,while it loses the advantage of no traumas and sufferings.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of mNGF to peripheral neuropathy induced by n-bexane. Methods 54 cases were treated with mNGF (18 μg i. m qd.) and the period of treatment is 56 days. 15 severe cases treated with two periods of treatment. Subjects received symptoms and signs of nerve system and activi-ties of daily living (ADL) scale were examined before and every 14 days after treated, The efficacy of mNGF was as-sessed by score increase of each index before and after treatment himself. To evaluate the safety, subjects received Is-boratory examinations before and every 28 days after treated, recorded adverse events everyday. Results During the trial, The indexes had improved remarkably in two weeks after the treatment , There were highly significant differ-ences in score increase after 4 ～ 8 weeks of treatment(P < 0. 01). It indicated that treatmented with mNGF was effec-tive. There were no severe adverse events (SAE) found among 54 trial subjects. There were no evident abnormalities in laboratory examinations before and after treatment. Pains of the injected sites are the main ADR, the incidence was 68.5% (37/54). Conclusion The results of the research indicated that mNGF clinical application could be consid-ered as safe and effective.

Objective To investigate the expression of adiponectin in placenta and its correlation with preeclampsia.Methods Placental tissues were collected from normal term pregnancies(normal pregnancy group,n=20),mild preeclampsia(mild preeclampsia group,n=12)and severe preeclampsia (severe preeclampsia group,n=22).The expression of adiponectin protein and the intensity of its mRNA in placenta were detected using immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR,respectively.Integral optical density (IOD)which represents the expression level of adiponectin protein,and the ratio of adiponectin cDNA PCR products to β-actin cDNA PCR products which represents the intensity of transcription of adiponectin mRNA in placenta were analyzed.Results (1)The expression of adiponectin protein was observed in cytoplasm of placental cytotrophoblasts and syncytiotrophoblasts among three groups.There was no significant difference in adiponectin protein expression between maternal side and fetal side of placenta in three groups(all P＞0.05);(2)The expression of adiponectin protein in placenta in severe preeclampsia group(30 984 ±14 604)was significantly lower than that of mild preeclampsia group(58 360±8910,P＜0.01)and of normal pregnancy group(53 246±17 554,P＜0.01).There was also no significant difference in the expression of adiponeclln protein in placenta between term delivery and preterm delivery in severe preeclampsia group(38 890±20 386 vs 29 319±8997,P＞0.05),however,the expression of adiponectin protein in placenta in term delivery of severe preeclampsia group was significantly lower than that ofterm delivery of normlal pregnancy group(38 890±20 386 vs 53 246±17 554,P＜0.05);(3)The expression of adiponectin mRNA was detected in placental tissues among three groups also.The intensity of transcription of adiponectin in placenta in severe preeclampsia group(1.0±0.2)was markedly lower than that of mild preeclampsia group(2.9±0.8,P＜0.05)and normal pregnancy group(3.3±1.1,P=0.000).Conclusion The expression of adiponectin decreases in placenta tissues of severe preeclampsia,indicating that the abnormal expression of adiponectin may be involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.

The study aimed to establish a population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PPK/PD) model of warfarin. PCR-RFLP technique was used to genotype the CYP2C9 and VKORC1 polymorphisms of 73 patients. RP-HPLC-UV method was used to determine the 190 plasma concentrations of warfarin. Application of NONMEM, the clinical information and 263 international normalized ratio (INR) monitoring data were used to investigate the effect of genetic, physiological, pathological factors, other medication on clearance and anticoagulant response. The final model of warfarin PPK/PD was described as follows: CL = θCL · (WT/60)θWT · θCYP · eηCL (if CYP2C9*1/*1, θCYP = 1; if *1/*3, θCYP = 0.708); EC50 = θEC50 · θVKOR · eηEC50 (if VKORC1- 1639AA, θVKOR = 1; if GA, θVKOR = 2.01; V = θV; K(E0) = θK(E0); Emax = θEmax; E0 = θE0 · eηE0. Among them, the body weight (WT), CYP2C9 and VKORC1 genotype had conspicuous effect on warfarin PK/PD parameters. The goodness diagnosis, Bootstrap, NPDE verification showed that the final model was stable, effective and predictable. It may provide a reference for opitimizing the dose regimen of warfarin.

Objective To summarize the causes of abdominal pain in the early postoperative period after laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC), so as to employ preventative measures. Methods The clinical data of 35 patients with early postoperative abdomial pain after LC were analyzed retrospectively and the literature was reviewed . Nine cases underwent reoperation, and conservative treatment was successfully performed in the other 26 cases. Results Traumatic factors were involved in 8 cases, including 6 cases of postoperative biliary fistula , and 2 cases with calculus retained in the trocar hole of the abdominal wall. 27 cases had no traumatic factor and included 2 cases of ascariasis of common bile duct, 5 cases with calculus of common bile duct, 1 case of acute pancreatitis, 17 cases of bile duct dysfunction, 1 case of duodenal ulcer and 1 case of stomach cancer. All were cured. Conclusions The key to decrease complications after LC is a complete examination before LC and pay attention to each aspect of perioperative management.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the impact of self-management of diabetic patients on diabetes mellitus and its complication in Chongqing. METHODS: Hospitalized diabetic patients were surveyed randomly using questionnaire modified and simplified from diabetes care profile(DCP)and diabetes knowledge test(DKT)designed by Diabetes Research and Training Center of Michigan University. RESULTS: Most of diabetic patients showed a low level of self-management. The self-management of young and middle aged diabetic patients was poorer than that of aged patients. The glucose control in patients who received diabetic education was superior to those without receiving diabetic education. The glucose control in patients with regular outpatient follow-up was better than patients followed up by other methods. A large number of diabetic patients combined with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases got the bad habits of drinking and smoking. CONCLUSION: Diabetic education is a important method to improve the self-management of diabetic patients. The conception of diabetic patients on diabetic education in Chongqing should be improved.

ObjectiveTo study the efficacy and safety of heated humidified high flow nasal cannula ( HHHFNC) and nasal continuous positive airway pressure( NCPAP) ventilation for prevention of extubation failure in extremely low birth weight(ELBW)infants in our NICU.MethodsFrom Jan.2011 to Dec. 2014, 129 ELBW infants admitted to our hospital were randomly assigned into HHHFNC group and NCPAP group. The inclusion criteria were gestational age ( GA ) <34 w, birth weight ( BW )<1000 g, admission within 7 d after birth and transition to noninvasive respiratory support after a period of mechanical ventilation with an endotracheal tube. The primary outcome included:the incidence of extubation failure, nasal injury, air leak, abdominal distention and bronchopulmonary dysplasia ( BPD). Results Statistically significant difference sexisted between the two groups on oxygen the rapyduration, the time required reaching total enteral feedings and the incidences of nasal injury, air leak, abdominal & nbsp;distention and necrotizing enterocolitis ( P<0. 05). The incidence of extubation failure within 7 days was 25. 8℅ in HHHFNC group and 47. 6℅ in NCPAP group ( P <0. 05 ) . No differences between the 2 groups on total ventilation duration, non-invasive ventilation duration, re-intubation rate at 3d after extubation, BPD, retinopathy of prematurity ( ROP ) , intracerebral hemorrhage ( ICH ) , periventricular leukomalacia(PVL)and patent ductus arteriosus(PDA).Conclusions HHHFNC is an effective and safe method for prevention of extubation failure in ELBW infants.
