Objective To discuss the efficacy of fiberoptic ductoscopy(FDS)in the treatment of mammary duct diseases with nipple discharge. Methods Fiberoptic ductoscopy was utilized for diagnosing and treating exudative lesions in the mammary duct in 72 cases(80 sides). After the lesion was detected under ductoscope, repeated irrigation using normal saline was performed until the flocculent discharge disappeared.Intraductal drug administration(dexamethasone 5 mg and gentamycin 40 000 U)was given during the retreat of ductoscope. Results There were 57 sides of galactophoritis and 23 sides of mammary duct ectasia.A complete recovery was achieved in 65 sides(nipple discharge disappeared completely and no relapse occurred in 6 months),in which a follow-up for 1~2 years showed no recurrence.A remarkable improvement was obtained in 15 sides(nipple discharge significantly reduced,or progressively decreased within 6 months,or underwear wetted occasionally). Conclusions Fiberoptic ductoscopy in the treatment of mammary duct lesions with abnormal nipple discharge is effective.

BACKGROUND: Most of evidence-based studies include both adult degenerative scoliosis and adult idiopathic scoliosis, which lead to indirectness in the results, and suppress the promotion of the evidence.OBJECTIVE: To systematically analyze the current clinical researches, and to review the curative efficacy of lateral lumbar interbody fusion for adult degenerative scoliosis.METHODS: A computer-based research of Medline, EMBASE, CENTRAL, WanFang and CNKI databases from December 2015 to December 2016, was performed with the key words of lateral lumbar interbody fusion, direct lumbar interbody fusion, extreme lateral interbody fusion, minimal invasive surgery, adult scoliosis. The articles were screened based on the inclusion criteria, and the clinical symptom improvement and radiological changes were analyzed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Totally 13 articles were included. In the treatment of adult degenerative scoliosis, lateral lumbar interbody fusion shows less blood loss, short hospitalization time, significantly improved symptoms, satisfactory correction at the coronal plane, and low incidence of long-term complications. However, it has the poor correction at the sagittal plane and high incidence of short-term postoperative complications. Therefore, intraoperative neurologic monitoring is necessary and the combination with internal fixation has obtained good effectiveness.

Objective To construct, express and identify the anti-idiotypic antibody single chain variable fragment (scFv) against Edwardsiella tarda. Methods By using RT-PCR method, the variable regions of the heavy and light chain of the anti-idiotypic monoclonal antibody (mAb) 1E11 against Edwardsiella tarda were cloned and joined with a (Gly_4ser)_3 linker, and the scFv in the orientation of V_L-linker-V_H was constructed. It was then cloned into vector plasmid pET-28a, expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3), and confirmed by SDS-PAGE, Western blot and ELISA. Results The recombinant scFv could be expressed in E.coli BL21 (DE3) in a fusion protein pattern. The expression product was in the form of an inclusion body and the purified fusion protein was obtained after being purified and refolded. The SDS-PAGE and Western blot analysis showed that the molecular had the binding activity to the antigen. Conclusion The recombinant anti-idiotype scFv has been successfully constructed and expressed in E.coli BL21 (DE3), providing the basis and potential for preparation of genetically engineered vaccine against Edwardsiella tarda.

OBJECTIVEWith the purpose of selecting adequate quality and high production of Schizonepeta tenuifolia, the comparative experiments were carried out on different strain of S. tenuifolia in 2007.
METHODThe test fields were divided into blocks randomly, and the agronomy characters were investigated in harvest time; the content of volatile oil was measured by steam distillation and the pulegone were determined by HPLC.
RESULTThe yield of S4 was 18.63% and 29.99% higher than that of CK1 and CK2, respectively. The contents of volatile oil and pulegone were also higher than those of CK and other strains in this test.
CONCLUSIONS4 shows the advantages of high production, strong disease resistance and high active components. S4 would be extended as the good breed in production.
