Objective:To explore the relationship between bullying and depressive symptoms in college students,the mediating role of mobile phone addiction and the moderating role of gender.Methods:Totally 1 499 college students in Nantong City were selected to evaluate bullying experience,mobile phone addiction tendency and depressive symptoms with the Revised Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument-Bully and Target(RAPRI-T),Smart-phone Addiction Scale-Short Version(SAS-SV),Patient Health Questionnaire Depression 9-item(PHQ-9).SPSS macro program PROCESS 3.2 was used to examine the mediating role of mobile phone addiction and the modera-ting role of gender.Results:Different forms of bullying,traditional verbal bullying had the highest detection rate.There were positive correlations among bullying and the scores of SAS-SV and PHQ-9(r=0.17-0.42,Ps＜0.001).In the relationship between bullying scores and PHQ-9 scores,SAS-SV scores played a partial mediating role,and the mediating effect accounts for 26.70％of the total effect.The interaction terms between bullying and genders had statistical significance with PHQ-9 scores(β=0.09,P＜0.001),as the bullying scores increased,the PHQ-9 scores were higher in girls than in boys.Conclusion:Mobile phone addiction plays a partial mediating role in the association between bullying and depressive symptomsin college students,and the association between bull-ying and depressive symptoms is moderated by gender factors.

Objective To investigate the impact of statistical uncertainty per control point(SUpCP)on dose calculation on volumetric modulated arc therapy(VMAT)for rectum cancer,and to analyze the accuracy and efficiency of calculation.Methods 19 patients with rectum cancer undergoing radiotherapy were selected.The initial VMAT plans were generated on Monaco TPS using SUpCP=3,then changed SUpCP in the dose calculation process as follow:10 SUpCPs(1～10)for each patient,and totally190 VMAT dose distributions were obtained.For plan evaluation,Dmax,Dmean,D95%,V50,homogeneity index(HI),conformity index(CI)of the planning target volume(PTV),dissymmetric variations of bladder,small intestine and femoral head,and time calculation(Time)were analyzed.Patient specific quality assurance(PSQA),dose deviation of isocenter(ΔDISO)and passing rate of three-dimensional dose distribution(γ33,γ32,γ22)between calculated and delivered radiation doses were measured.Results AsSUpC increased,Dmax and HI of PTV,Dmax of bladder were increased,but D95%and V50 of PTV,Time,γ32 and γ22 were decreased(P<0.05).Dmax and CI of PTV,Dmean of bladder,Dmax and Dmean of small intestine and femoral head,ΔDISO and γ33 showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).When ΔDISO<1%,gamma passing rate>90%for all VMAT plan.When SUpCP<6,Dmax of PTV<110%of the prescribed dose was obtained;while SUpCP>2,time for dose calculation was less than 5 min.Conclusion For VMAT plan of rectum cancer on Monaco TPS using XVMC algorithm,3%～5%of statistical uncertainty per control point for dose calculation,and 3%2 mm or 2%2 mm gamma criteria for three-dimensional dose verification is recommended.This study provides clinical application basis for precise dose calculation of VMAT plan of rectum cancer.

Objective To explore the targets and pathways of Cynanchum wilfordii for treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods UPLC-QE-MS was used to identify the components of Cynanchum wilfordii ethanol extract,and their targets were screened using public databases for construction of the core protein-protein interaction(PPI)network and GO and KEGG enrichment analyses.Forty male C57 mice were randomized into normal control group,model group,mesalazine group and Cynanchum wilfordii group(n=10),and in the latter 3 groups,mouse UC models were established by treatment with 2.5%DSS and the latter 2 groups drug interventions by gavage.The therapeutic effect was evaluated by recording body weight changes and DAI score.Pathological changes of the colon tissue were observed with HE and AB-PAS staining,and JAK2 and STAT3 protein expressions were detected with Western blotting.The metabolites and metabolic pathways were identified by metabonomics analysis.Results We identified 240 chemical components in Cynanchum wilfordii alcoholic extracts,including 19 steroids.A total of 177 Cynanchum wilfordii targets,5406 UC genes,and 117 intersection genes were obtained.JAK2 and STAT3 were the core targets and significantly enriched in lipid and atherosclerosis pathways.Cynanchum wilfordii treatment significantly increased the body weight and decreased DAI score of UC mice(P<0.05),alleviated intestinal pathologies,and decreased JAK2 and STAT3 protein expressions in the colon tissues.Most of the 83 intersecting differential metabolites between the control,model and Cynanchum wilfordii groups were identified as glycerophospholipids,arachidonic acid,and amino acids involving glycerophospholipid metabolism and other pathways.Correlation analysis suggested that the core targets of Cynanchum wilfordii for UC participated in regulation of the metabolites.Conclusion Cynanchum wilfordii alleviates lipid and amino acid metabolism disorders to lessen UC in mice by regulating the core targets including JAK2 and STAT3 and the levels of endogenous metabolites.

The red blood cell distribution width (RDW) could help predict the prognosis of patients who undergo percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass surgery. We investigated whether the RDW has robust predictive value for the 30-day mortality among patients in an intensive care unit (ICU) after undergoing cardiac surgery. Methods: Using the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV Database, we retrieved data for 11,634 patients who underwent cardiac surgery in an ICU. We performed multivariate Cox regression analysis to model the association between the RDW and 30-day mortality and plotted Kaplan–Meier curves. Subgroup analyses were stratified using relevant covariates. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to determine the predictive value of the RDWs. Results: The total 30-day mortality rate was 4.2% (485/11,502). The elevated-RDW group had a higher 30-day mortality rate than the normal-RDW group (P < 0.001). The robustness of our data analysis was confirmed by performing subgroup analyses. Each unit increase in the RDW was associated with a 17% increase in 30-day mortality when the RDW was used as a continuous variable (adjusted hazard ratio = 1.17, 95% confidence interval, 1.10–1.25). Our ROC results showed the predictive value of the RDW. Conclusions An elevated RDW was associated with a higher 30-day mortality in patients after undergoing cardiac surgery in an ICU setting. The RDW can serve as an efficient and accessible method for predicting the mortality of patients in ICUs following cardiac surgery.

Copy number variants (CNVs) are common causes of human genetic diseases. CNVs detection has become a routine component of genetic testing, especially for pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, multiple congenital abnormalities, prenatal evaluation of fetuses with structural anomalies detected by ultrasound. Although the technologies for CNVs detection are continuously improving, the interpretation is still challenging, with significant discordance across different laboratories. In 2020, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) and the Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) developed a guideline for the interpreting and reporting of constitutional copy number variants, which introduced a quantitative, evidence-based scoring framework. Here, we detailed the key points of interpreting the copy number gain based on the guideline, used six examples of different categories to illuminate the scoring process and principles. We encourage a professional understanding and application of this guideline for the detected copy number gains in China in order to further improve the clinical evaluation accuracy and consistency across different laboratories.

Objective    To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a central venous catheter for thoracic drainage after video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy compared with a conventional chest tube. Methods    This study collected 200 patients with lung cancer who underwent thoracoscopic lobectomy and systematic hilar and mediastinal lymph node dissection between January 2018 and September 2019 in our hospital. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, including a group A (left with 28F chest tubes postoperatively) and a group B (left with 12G central venous catheters postoperatively). Patients in both groups were left with 2 chest tubes after upper lobectomy and 1 chest tube after middle or lower lobectomy. Duration and total volume of drainage, length of hospital stay, maximum visual analogue scale score and so forth were compared between the two groups. Results    Finally, 151 patients were included for analysis. There were 73 patients in the group A, including 26 males and 47 females, with an average age of 55.38±9.95 years, and 78 patients in the group B, including 37 males and 41 females, with an average age of 59.86±10.18 years. No statistical  difference was found between the two groups in drainage volume on postoperative day 2, and proportion of prolonged air leaks, hemothorax, chylothorax or drain reinsertion (all P>0.05). There was a statistical difference in drainage volume on postoperative day 1 [200.0 (120.0, 280.0) mL vs. 57.5 (10.0, 157.5) mL, P=0.000], postoperative day 3 [155.0 (100.0, 210.0) mL vs. 150.0 (80.0, 215.0) mL, P=0.023], total volume of drainage [890.0 (597.5, 1 530.0) mL vs. 512.5 (302.5, 786.3) mL, P=0.000], maximum pain score (2.29±0.72 points vs. 2.09±0.51 points, P=0.013) and length of hospital stay [7 (7, 9) d vs. 5 (4, 7) d, P=0.000]. Conclusion    Compared with conventional chest tubes, central venous catheters for chest drainage in patients with lung cancer after thoracoscopic lobectomy shortens the length of hospital stay and reduces postoperative pain.
