Patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) have unhealthy diets, sedentary behavior and lack of physical activity. This lifestyle triggers liver disease and probably favors its progression. It is now the most common significant cause of end-stage liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. From the perspective of non-pharmacological intervention, lifestyle modifications including diet, exercise, and weight loss remain the most effective therapy for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Bariatric surgery in morbidly obese individuals who have failed to lose weight through lifestyle modifications can improve steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis. Comprehensive treatment measures can produce synergistic effect, but long-term adherence is particularly critical.

Basic medical theory integrating with clinical practice is the motivation of medical development.In our country,basic medical theory research levels has been low because of mismatch between clinic practice and basic research in lots of affiliated hospitals of medical colleges.In this paper,according to analysize the basic medical research status of several affiliated hospitals of Shantou University Medical College,we think that it is key for enhancing basic research levels to strengthen building clinical research platform,standardize management of scientific research and guide medical staffs carrying out basic theory research from clinic practice.

Through collecting the economic operation information of the society-run blood purification institutionrs,the cost is divided into fixed cost,variable cost and mixed cost according to the relationship between the cost and the number of dialysis.It formulated the standard cost model of blood purification institutions,according to the county and city classification,the basic situation of the size and capacity of the organization were assumed.It mainly included standard labor costs,standard drug costs,standard health materials fees and standard professional equipment depreciation and other information,which was benefitial for industry decision-making and internal fine management.

The dynamic changes about vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), angiotension Ⅰ (AⅠ)and angiotension Ⅱ (A Ⅱ)concentrations in plasma, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) and brain extracts were studied in the experimental high-velocity missile wound models, which were produced on both hind legs of dogs. The findings were as follows: (1) Plasma VIP, AⅠ and AⅡ concentrations started to increase from 30 rain after the wound and the elevation had been continuing at 4 h after the wound. Their highest points of post-trauma were 2,9, 11.5 and 4.9 times as much as that of pre-trauma. (2) CSF VIP elevated at 4 h after the wound, but AⅠ and AⅡ concentrations reduced tempo tarily at 1 h and 2 h after the wound respectively. (3) The changes of VIP, AⅡ concentrations in the brain extracts tented to be consistent with that of the CSF. The signifcance and machanism of these changes of VIP and AⅡ concentration remain to be clarified.

Environmental endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) may interfere with thyroid function by affecting the synthesis,release,transport,metabolism,and clearance of thyroid hormone as well as its receptor binding,etc.Thyroid hormones are essential for normal fctal brain development and for many aspects of normal adult physiology.This paper is to provide a brief overview of recent findings on thyroid disruptionly EDC.It would contribute to the development of new strategies against thyroid dysfuction.

Objective To study the clinical features, laboratory index and therapy of hypoplastic myelodysplastic syndrome. Methods 8 patients with hypoplastic MDS by using the method of bone marrow smear and bone marrow biopsy were studied. T lymphocyte subsets were analyzed by flow cytometry. 8 patients were treated with personalized therapy. Results All the patients of this group had hypoplastic bone marrow with more than two parts, bone marrow hypocellularity and characteristics of ineffective hematopoiesis. The analysis of T lymphocyte subsets showed that 5 of 8 patients had abnormal CD+4/CD+8 ratios. After personalized treatment, there were 2 obvious remission cases, 3 partial remission cases, 2 progression cases and 1 inefficacy case. Conclusion Hypoplastic MDS is characterized by bone marrow hypocellularity and ineffective hematopoiesis, which showed immunological abnormalities. Personalized therapeutic strategy may prolong survival in patients with hypoplastic MDS.

AIM:To investigate the efftct of Gypenosides on contraction of isolated duodenum smooth mustle of rabbits.METHODS:The routine experimental method of isolated duodenal smooth muscle of rabbits were used.The contraction curves of isolated duodenum smooth mustle before and after administration of different concentrations of Gypenosides(0.01%-1.00%)were recorded by Medlab biological information collecting system.RESULTS:Different concentrations of Gypenosides significantly reduced the contraction amplitude of isolated duodenum smooth mustle of rabbits,and showed a dose-dependent relationship.CONCLUSION:Gypenosides can inhibit the contraction of isolated duodenum smooth muscle of rabbits.

Objective To investigate the effects of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ(PPARγ) agonists pioglitazone combined with radiotherapy on colon carcinoma xenograft in mice.Methods The colon cancer cells CT26 of mouse were inoculated in the right side of the rib loins of BALB/c mouse.Established BALB/c mice tumor models.The mice were randomly divided into six groups:untreated group,tumor contral group,DMSO group,pioglitazone treated group,radiotherapy group,radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone treated group.To observe the tumor growth of each group,to compute and compare to the tumor inhibition rates.the pathological varieties of the tumor were observed.Results The tumor volumes were compared with each group after two weeks of radiotherapy.Compared with tumor contral group,pioglitazone treated group,radiotherapy group and radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone treated group could decrease the volume of tumor (P =0.008,P =0.001,P =0.001).Compared with pioglitazone treated group,the effect of radiotherapy group or radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone treated group was more evident (P =0.026,P =0.018).Contrasted with radiotherapy group,radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone treated group had no significant difference (P =0.335).The tumor inhibition rates of pioglitazone treated group,radiotherapy group and radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone treated group were 46.30 ％,68.60 ％ and 70.01％.The pathological varieties of tumor were obvious.Conclusion Pioglitazone,radiotherapy and radiotherapy combined with pioglitazone could inhibit the growth of tumor.PPARγ is a new target for tumor treatment.

Objective:Through the closed loop management mode,it realized the whole process of material information could be traced back,especially in the medical business level.Methods:Based on the requirement of management accounting,the integrated accounting and business information were in accordance with management accounting.Results and Conclusion:It set up different management nodes in the closed loop of the materials,such as medicine,sanitary materials and test reagents,so as to get the relevant information.The problems of the extensive management of materials could be solved to improve the efficiency of the management of hospital materials.
