Objective To investigate the curative effect of arthroscopic treatment for lateral dis-cord meniscus tear in children. Methods The study involved 229 child patients with lateral discord meniscal tear treated arthroscopically from March 1996 to March 2008. There were 133 males and 96 fe-males, at age of (9±3.5) years (range 4-14 years). The treatment methods included meniscus-plasty in 219 patients (including two children with postoperative recurrence), meniscus-plasty-suture in eight and partial meniscectomy in two. The function of the knees was assessed pre-operationally and post-operation-ally by using Lysholm score. Results Of all, 221 patients were followed up for a period of (65±48.9) months (range 5-144 months). The pain and swelling were alleviated, with obvious improvement in range of motion and knee function in all patients six months after operation. There were no complica-tions including intra-articular infection, iatrogenic injury, fibroarthritis or loss of range of motion. Ly-sholm score was (61.85±7.65) points (range 45-73) before operation, which was improved to (95.30±3.50) points (range 87-100 points) six months after operation (t= 26.778, P < 0.01). Conclusion Treatment of lateral discord meniscus tear under arthroscopic guidance in children has the advantages of minor trauma, satisfactory results, can maintain good shape of the meniscus and good func-tion of knee and reduce incidence rate of osteoarthritis.

ObjectiveTo study the therapeutic mechanisms of electro-acupuncture on chronic spinal cord injury in rats.MethodsA model of chronic spinal cord injury was made. After 60 days, the pressure installs were removed, and the animals were treated with electro-acupuncture. A quantitive analysis was carried out using Basso, Beattie, Bresnahan Locomotor Rating Scale (BBB scale). The expression of Neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) and its receptor TrkC were observed through immunohistochemistrical method and western blotting.ResultsAfter spinal cord injury, enhanced NT-3 and TrkC immunoreactivities were evident in neurons and glial cells. Furthermore, they were diminished in the electro-acupuncture group. Meanwhile, both evoked potentials and BBB scales were improved after EA treatment (P<0.05). ConclusionThe treatment of electro-acupuncture may promote behavioral function recovery of experimental animals, and NT-3 and TrkC may take part in the recovery.

It has been shown that Spirulina platensis can regulate imminological functions. We report here that crude extract and purified components (phycocyanin and polysaccharide) from Spirulina platensis can induce secretion of IL 2 in splenocyte of BALB/C mice by means of MTT method. In the present study,we showed that all experimental components can't enhance proliferation of CTLL which was used in MTT method, but induce IL 2 secretion in splenocyte of BALB/C mice in three different concentration (0.01,0.1,1 g?L -1 ).Indeed the purified components especially phycocyanin part showed stronger IL 2 inducing activity than the crude one.IL 2 level was grow up when the incubation time of splenocyte and Spirulina platensis increased. In the concentration of 1 g?L -1 ,detected Spirulina platensis in our study assist IL 2 inducing of ConA (2mg?L -1 ) in splenocyte of BALB/C mice.

OBJECTIVEThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the exogenous phosphatase and tensin homology deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) gene on in vitro growth of the highly metastatic mucoepidemoid carcinoma cell line M3SP2.
METHODSThe growth of the exogenous PTEN transfected mucoepidemoid carcinoma cells M3SP2-PTEN gene was studied by analyzing cell growth curves, mitosis index and clone formation efficiency and compared with its parental cell line M3SP2 and the vector pBabepuro-transfected cell line M3SP2-pBp.
RESULTSThe doubling time (h) of M3SP2, M3SP2-pBp and M3SP2-PTEN were 24.50, 24.76 and 31.74; the mitosis index (@1000) were 53.0 +/- 6.20, 49.0 +/- 5.24 and 16.2 +/- 3.2; the clone formation efficiency (%) were 37.37, 35.01 and 10.40, respectively. The M3SP2-PTEN cells also revealed 57.05%-71.46% inhibition of growth from day 3 to 7 and 65%-72% inhibition of clone formation compared with the parental cells.
CONCLUSIONThese data provide evidence that the exogenous wild-type PTEN have remarkably inhibitory effects on in vitro proliferation of the highly metastatic mucoepidermoid carcinoma cell line M3SP2.

Chinese Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2020;14(3):246-250
Objective:To investigate the expression changes of SKOV3 and MRTFA in ovarian cancer and their effects on tumor cell proliferation and invasion.Methods:91 cases of patients with ovarian cancer admitted to our hospital from Jun. 2017 to May. 2019 were enrolled in this study. The relationship between MRTFA mRNA expression and clinical characteristics in ovarian cancer tissues was analyzed. The ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells were cultured and grouped, and the proliferation activity of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells was detected by MTT. The invasive ability of SKOV3 cells was determined by Transwell method, and the expression of MRTFA protein in SKOV3 cells was determined by Western blot. Results:The relative expression of MRTFA mRNA in ovarian cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues ( P<0.05) . The relative expression of MRTFA mRNA in ovarian cancer tissues with tumor diameter <10 cm, FIGO stage I-II stage, moderately high differentiation and no lymph node metastasis was lower than that with tumor diameter≥10cm, FIGO stage III-IV stage, poor differentiation, lymph node metastasis in patients with ovarian cancer ( P<0.05) . The absorbance values of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells in MRTFA intervention group were lower than those in the control group and the negative control group at 24 h, 48 h, 72 h and 96 h ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The expression of MRTFA is abnormally increased in ovarian cancer. The specific inhibition of MRTFA protein expression can block the proliferation and invasion of SKOV3 cells. The mechanism of action may be related to the transformation process of SRF induced epithelial mesenchyme.
