1.Changes of superoxide dismutase and lipid peroxide in blood serum ulcerative of colitis patient

The content of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lipid peroxide (LPO) of blood serum in 120 ulcerative colitis (UC) patient were tested by means of xanthine oxidation method and colorimeter on the reactive product of thio-barbituric acid.The content of SOD in the UC Patients was lower than that in the normal control group (P<0.001),and the content of LPO in the UC patients was obviously higher than that the control group (P<0.001).The content of SOD in the UC patients which accompanied the types of simple retention of damp-heat in the interior or weakness of the spleen and the stomach or the stagnancy of qi and blood stasis or deficiency of yin and stagnancy of qi and blood stasis was distinctly lower tban the one in the normal control groups (P<0.001).The content of LPO in them is distinctly higher than the content of LPO in normal control group (P<0.001).Conclusion: These results suggested that the content of SOD of protecting cell factor in the body of ulcerative colitis patients who were mostly the type of retention of damp-heat in the interior decreased and the content of LPO of damaging cell factor increased.When the patients accompanied with the deficiency,the content of the SOD in them reduced remarkably and the content of LPO enhanceed remarkably,especially in those who are the type of weekness of the spleen and the stomach or insufficiency of the spleen and the stagnancy of qi and blood stasis.
2.Clinical application of 3-D surface reconstruction by multislice spiral CT in the diagnosis of impacted teeth in maxilla

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of the 3-D surface reconstruction by multislice spiral CT(MSCT) technique in the diagnosis of impacted teeth in maxilla.Methods:Eighty two cases with impacted teeth in maxilla were examined with volumetric CT scan using MSCT,the dental reconstruction images were obtained with multiplanar reformation technique and 3D-reconstruction technique.Results:Dental surface 3D-reconstruction image could display the shape,location and eruption orientation of the impacted teeth clearly.Conclusion:3-D surface reconstruction by MSCT can provide valuable diagnostic and anatomic information of the impacted teeth in maxilla.
3.Pharmacological Activity of Nest of Silvestri(Macrotermes annandalei)

Experimcnts showed that the nest of Macrotermes annandalei (Silvestri ) had the activity of relieving co gh, eliminating phlegm, and bacteriostasis. It coild also promote the phagocytosis of macrophages, enhance the transformation of T-cell of lymphocyte and rasiethe ratio of ANAE cell of lymphocyte in mice.
4.Clinical analysis on 5 cases of critically ill children complicated with pancreatic necrosis

Objective To summarize the clinical features and biological markers of critically ill children with pancreatic necrosis. Methods The clinical data of 5 ill children whose autopsy confirmed pancreatic necrosis in our hospital from 2003 to 2009 were collected and the pathological results were analyzed.Results Five cases appeared as acute onset and fever. Clinical manifestation of 2 cases included abdominal pain and 2 cases represented abdominal bulging,lots of flatulence and gastrointestinal bleeding. Four cases represented abnormal liver function and significant decrease of albumin,3 cases with increase of C-reactive protein. No case showed abnormal pancreas acoustic image of abdominal B-ultrasonography. Autopsy confirmed that 5 cases represented varying degrees necrosis of the pancreas, which complicated with the damage of adrenal gland,liver,lung,heart, spleen, kidney,intestine, thymus, mediastinal and mesenteric lymphnodes. All died in 36 hours after the children'conditions were changed. Two cases died of acute hemorrhagic necrosis of the pancreas,3 cases died of multiple organ failure based on pancreatic necrosis. Conclusion Pancreatic necrosis in critically ill children presents acute onset and short course,is prone to result in multiple organ damage or failure.

6.Implementing and understanding of clinical pharmaceutical services

Considering the difficulties that clinical pharmacists have encountered in clinical pharmaceutical services like ward rounds and different clinical knowledge structures, corresponding measures have been taken to assess the work load of clinical pharmacists so as to bring into full play the role of clinical pharmacists in clinical pharmaceutical treatment and information services.
7.Comparative study of the circumcision techniques curative effect between circumcision suture device and Shang Ring

Objective To compare the clinical effectiveness among disposable circumcisionsuture device and Shang Ring in treating redundant prepuce and phimosis.Methods The clinical data of 224 cases of circumcisions done by disposable circumcision suture device(n =112)and Shang Ring(n =112)were retrospective1y analyzed. Operation time,intra -operational bleeding and postoperative complications among two techniques were compared. Results Disposable circumcision suture operation and Shang ring circumcision without significant difference in the operation time and intra -operational bleeding.There result was (6.1 ±0.8)min vs (6.5 ±1.7)min and (2.0 ±0.0)mL vs (1.8 ±0.0)mL(P >0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications with incision pain rate was 21.43% vs 50.89%,infection rate was 14.29% vs 6.25%,frenum area incision edema rate was 8.04% vs 25.89%,and the postoperative hematoma and healing time was (8.0 ±1.7)d vs (14.0 ±1.2)d,the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion Each of two techniques has its own advantages and disadvantages.The treatment decision making should be a detailed description to the patients,we propose that school -age children should choose Shang Ring built -in method and the others should use disposable circumcision suture device depending on the situation.
9.Optimizing the scan protocol in whole-brain perfusion imaging with 320-MDCT

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of optimized scan protocol in whole-brain perfusion imaging with 320-MDCT scanner.Methods Twenty healthy volunteers were randomly divided into control group (13 patients) and test group (7 patients).The standard perfusion scan protocol (collecting 19 volumes)was applied in control group.The optimized perfusion CT scan protocol(collecting ll volumes)formulated by reducing scanning phases reasonably and changing the collection intervals was applied in test group.The regions of interest(ROI) with area of(20 ± 2)mm2 were located in the bilateral frontal white matter,parietal white matter,centrum semiovate,basal ganglia,occipital lobe and cerebellum.Bilateral perfusion values from ROI were measured,including cerebral blood volume(CBV),mean transit time (TTP),cerebral blood flow (CBF),mean transit time (MTT) and delay time (DT).Results Dose length product (DLP)and effective dose (ED)in optimized protocol were decreased 42.02% as compared to control group.Every relative perfusion value of both sides from both groups were not statistically significant (P > 0.05).Every relative perfusion parameters from individual territory in both groups showed no significant differences (P > 0.05).Conclusions Using the optimized scan protocol,we could obtain the same whole-brain perfusion values could be obtained with the default standard protocol and less radiation dose.
10.Non-Wilms’ renal tumors in children:clinicopathological features of fifteen cases

Purpose To investigate the clinical pathological features, pathological diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the non-Wilms’ renal tumors in children. Methods The clinical pathological data and immunohistochemical findings of 15 cases of non-Wilms’ renal tumors were retrospectively analyzed with review of the relevant literature. Results In 7/15 (46. 67%) cases of cystic nephroma ( CN) , microscopically the variable size of cysts were lined by a single layer flattened, cuboidal epithelia, separated by fi-broblastic stroma;in 4/15 (26. 67%) cases of rhabdoid tumor of kidney (RTK), histological characteristics were rhabdoid cells and cytoplasmic inclusions;in 2/15 (13. 33%) cases of clear cell sarcoma (CCSK), the classical pattern of histology demonstrated nests, cords of ovoid epithelioid or spindled clear cells separated by fibrovascular septa, which had a marked ’ chicken wire’ pattern of small blood vessels;in 1/15 (6. 67%) case of congenital mesoblastic nephroma (CMN), the tumor was mainly composed of spindle cells arranged in fascicular pattern, in which fetal renal tissue was seen;in 1/15 (6. 67%) case of granularity renal cell carcinoma, micro-scopically, the cancer cells with eosinophilic granular cytoplasm arranged in nests, cords and tubular pattern. Conclusions Although non-Wilms’ renal tumors is a small part of all kidney tumor, it is difficult to diagnose and distinguish from other tumors before opera-tion. The pathological diagnosis is the most reliable method for differential diagnosis of non-Wilms’ renal tumor.
