Objective: To investigate the associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP) on bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein(BPI) and lipopolysaccharide-binding protein(LBP) with the complication of sepsis. Methods: The SNP genotypes of BPI Lys216Glu,PstⅠin intron 5,G545C,LBP Cys98Gly and Leu436Pro were examined by restriction fragment length polymorphism PCR(PCR-RFLP).Results:The rate of BPI Lys216Glu G/G genotypes and G-alleles in patients with sepsis were significantly higher than that of volunteers.The rate of BPI Lys216Glu G/G genotypes and G-alleles in nonsurviving patients were significantly higher than that of survivor patients. Conclusion: The BPI Lys216Glu G-allele may be associated with the high risk of sepsis.

The content of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lipid peroxide (LPO) of blood serum in 120 ulcerative colitis (UC) patient were tested by means of xanthine oxidation method and colorimeter on the reactive product of thio-barbituric acid.The content of SOD in the UC Patients was lower than that in the normal control group (P＜0.001),and the content of LPO in the UC patients was obviously higher than that the control group (P＜0.001).The content of SOD in the UC patients which accompanied the types of simple retention of damp-heat in the interior or weakness of the spleen and the stomach or the stagnancy of qi and blood stasis or deficiency of yin and stagnancy of qi and blood stasis was distinctly lower tban the one in the normal control groups (P＜0.001).The content of LPO in them is distinctly higher than the content of LPO in normal control group (P＜0.001).Conclusion: These results suggested that the content of SOD of protecting cell factor in the body of ulcerative colitis patients who were mostly the type of retention of damp-heat in the interior decreased and the content of LPO of damaging cell factor increased.When the patients accompanied with the deficiency,the content of the SOD in them reduced remarkably and the content of LPO enhanceed remarkably,especially in those who are the type of weekness of the spleen and the stomach or insufficiency of the spleen and the stagnancy of qi and blood stasis.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acarbose tablets combined with protamine zinc recombinant lai pulp mixing insulin injection in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods 170 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.85 cases in the observation group were given acarbose tablets combined with protamine zinc recombinant lai pulp mixing insulin injection,85 cases in the control group received aspart 30.The patients were followed up for 12 weeks,the blood glu cose levels,blood glucose fluctuation,glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc),the incidence of hypoglycemia and insulin dosage were observed.Results' The level of fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (t =9.92,P ＜ 0.05),2h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG) (t =18.18,P ＜0.05),the mean blood glucose within 4h(t =13.62,P ＜0.05),days of average blood glucose fluctuations (t =14.56,P ＜ 0.05) of observation group dropped significantly compared with that before treatment;HbAlc achieved rate(6.5％)of the observation group and control group were 35.29％,28.23％,re spectively,HbAlc achieved rate (7.0％) of observation group and control group were 57.64％,52.94％,the differences were not statistically significant(all P ＞ 0.05).The dose of insulin was significantly lower in the observation group(20.11 ±3.36) u/d than(35.78 ±4.68) u/d in the control group(t =25.08,P ＜0.01).There were 2 cases of hypoglycemic events and 3 cases in the control group.Conclusion Protamine zinc recombinant insulin lispro injection combined with acarbose has reliable clinical efficacy and safety.

Objective To observe the changes of retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and its correlation with visual field mean defects(MD)in Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods Fifteen eyes of 15 PD patients in early stage and 18 eyes of 18 normal controls undertook RNFL examination by Stratus OCT-3. Circular scans (diameter is 3. 46 mm) were taken around the optic nerve head including eight quadrants (superior, inferior, temporal, nasal, temporal-superior, temporal-inferior, nasal-superior and nasalinferior). The RNFL thickness in different quadrants in the two groups was analyzed. The visual field of PD patients was measured by central 30-2 program of Humphery750 visual field analyzer, and the MD was recorded. The correlation between RNFL thickness and MD was analyzed by linear correlation and regression analysis. Results RNFL thicknesses of superior, inferior, temporal, nasal, temporal-superior, temporal-inferior, nasal-superior, nasal-inferior and average RNFL thickness in the control group were (132.7±17.4), (141. 5±15. 3),(83. 2±17. 5), (83.7±22.3) ,(120.8±21.2), (117. 9±24.5) ,(109.6±20. 6),(110.2±27.7), and(109. 9±8. 5) μm respectively, while in the PD group they were (128.1±25.3),(128. 6±13. 2),(68. 7±13. 5),(76. 5±17. 8),(102. 6±23. 7), (103.3±14.1) ,(101.2±20.9),(96.6±15.0),(102.3±11.9) μm . Compared with each other, the differences of RNFL thickness of inferior, temporal, temporal-superior, temporal-inferior and average RNFL thickness were statistically significant (t = 2. 595, 2. 700, 2. 330, 2. 153,2. 131;P = 0. 014, 0. 011, 0. 026, 0. 040, 0. 041). There was a close negative relationship between average RNFL thickness and MD in PD patients (r= -0. 933, P<0. 0001). Conclusions RNFL thickness was significantly thinner in PD patients than that in the normal controls. There was a negative relationship between RNFL thickness and MD in PD patients.

Objective To study the effect of using improved loop electrosurgical excision procedure for diagnosis and treatment of cervical diseases. Methods The clinical data of 70 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or carcinoma in situ from January 2006 to Decemder 2008 in our hospital was collected.The operation time, the mean volume of blooding, days of blooding, relationship between the mean blood and areas of pyramid area of pyramid was compared between study group and control group. Improved loop electrosurgical excision procedure was executed on 21 cases of study group ( CIN Ⅰ 4 cases, CIN Ⅱ 10 cases,CIN Ⅲ4 cases, CIS3 cases ) and loop electrosurgical excision procedure was used on 49 cases in control group (CIN Ⅰ7 cases,CIN Ⅱ21 cases, CIN Ⅲ 16 cases, CIS5 cases). Results Blood loss [(16.57 ±17. 47 ) ml], operative time [( 9.07 ± 3.34 ) min] and postoperative bleeding time [(9.10 ± 2.23) d] in study group were lower than that in control group [( 39.80 ± 37.43 ) ml, ( 12. 19 ± 5.34 ) min, ( 10. 49 ±2. 76)d], and the differences were statistically significant ( P < 0. 05 ). Cervical cone volume [( 14. 70 ±13. 35 ) mm3] and blood loss [(32. 83 ± 14. 32 ) ml] were positively correlated ( r = 0. 430, P < 0. 05 ). No significant difference between prognosis of two groups was found( P >0. 05 ). Conclusion There was positive relationship between the averge blood loss in surgery and areas of pyramid excision. It'd be better to stitch the ramus descendents of uterine artery at three and nine o'clock of the cervix uteri, when the patients were expected to have large pyramid areas and abundant blood flow who may bleed more than normal. which can reduce the blood loss after surgery and reduce the time of surgery.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of using single epidural injection of S-Ropivacaine Mesylate to ease the pain after gynaecology and obstetrics operations.Methods 180 patients who need gynaecological operations were randomly divided into two groups.The group of therapy was injected the analgesic(ropivacaine + morphia)at once when suturing the skin.And the comparing group only injected 5～6ml of analgesic at the stage of skin suture,then selfoperated analgesia pump will be used.The changes of hemodynamics and SpO_2 pf the two groups,the analgesic activities after 48 hours,occurrence of adverse reaction,etc were analyzed.Results The differences of MAP,SpO_2,and HR had statistical significance(P＞0.05);After the surgery,the effept of analgesic of 24h and 48h grade 0(pain-free rate)in therapy group is much more obvious than comparing group(χ~2=3.974,4.031,P＜0.05);Neither group has severe adverse reaction.Conclusion The effect of using sihgle epidural injection of S-Ropivacaine Mesylate to ease the pain after gynaecology and obstetrics surgeries is gopd,and has little adverse reaction.

Objective To study the regulation of dry substance and active components accumulation in the fruit of Forsythia suspensa. Methods The dry substance of the fruit was analyzed by the method of hundred grain mass. The contents of the active components in leaves, shucks, and seeds were analyzed by HPLC. Results The period for F. suspensa to accumulate the dry substance was mainly May and July. During the whole growth phase, the active components, such as forsythiaside, forsythin, and rutin in different parts, were decreasing. From the last ten-day of August to the first ten-day of September, the accumulation of the dry substance came to stability and the contents of active components in shucks and seed were stable. The contents of active components in shucks decreased rapidly from September to October, and then came to stability and the contents in shucks is the least during the last ten-day of October. So the contents of active components in younger F. suspensa are higher than that in elder one, and the proportion among forsythiaside, forsythins, and lution is also significantly different from elder seeds. Conclusion It is more preferable to pick younger F. suspensa from the last ten-day of August to the first ten-day of September and to pick elder F. suspensa during last ten-day of October.

RNA interference is an evolutionarily conserved surveillance mechanism that responds to double-stranded RNA by sequence-specific silencing of homologous genes. It can block and regulate gene expression. Over the past few years, RNAi has already begun to revolutionize experimental biology in organisms ranging from unicellular protozoans to mammals. In neuroscience, we are only begining to know the mechanistic complexity of this process and its biological ramifications.

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of the 3-D surface reconstruction by multislice spiral CT(MSCT) technique in the diagnosis of impacted teeth in maxilla.Methods:Eighty two cases with impacted teeth in maxilla were examined with volumetric CT scan using MSCT,the dental reconstruction images were obtained with multiplanar reformation technique and 3D-reconstruction technique.Results:Dental surface 3D-reconstruction image could display the shape,location and eruption orientation of the impacted teeth clearly.Conclusion:3-D surface reconstruction by MSCT can provide valuable diagnostic and anatomic information of the impacted teeth in maxilla.
