1.Investigation on Production of Cluster Ions UsingSurface-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2017;45(6):851-855
Surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (SALDI-MS) has become an indispensable tool in macromolecule and small molecule analysis for solid and liquid samples. However, there were few studies focusing on the ionization mechanisms especially for the small molecules. In this work, the compounds of pyrene, coronene and rubrene which have similar molecular structures were used to investigate the ionization mechanism via SALDI-MS.Additionally the effect of the laser power on the product ions was also investigated. It was found that strong cluster ions peaks nM+(M=pyrene, coronene) were observed for pyrene and coronene, and daughter ions of coronene by loss of C2H2 were also observed. On the contrary, no cluster ion was obtained for rubrene, only daughter ions with the losses of nC6H5 (n=1, 2, 3) were acquired. Finally, the ionization mechanisms were discussed. The formation of clusters of pyrene and coronene was attributed to the interaction of π-π bands. For rubrene, the spatial barrier weakened the interaction of π-π bands because the four phenyl groups were not on the same plane of skeleton structure, thus impeding the formation of cluster ions.

Journal of International Oncology 2013;(4):274-278
It is proved that there are significant differences in individual susceptibility to lung cancer.Genetic polymorphisms of several enzymes involved in the detoxification and biotransformation might be related to the lung cancer susceptibility.Cytochromes P450,N-acetyltransferases,microsomal epoxide hydrolase,NQO1 are the most frequently investigated genes in recent years. All theses genes appear to be the candidates for lung cancer susceptibility genes. The studies of the relationship between polymorphisms of metabolic enzymes and lung cancer susceptibility will help to find useful biomarkers. An improved understanding of genetic polymorphisms may help to identify individuals who are at increased risk for lung cancer and decrease the incidence of lung cancer.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the prognosis effect of Shengmai injection to the rt-PA thrombolysis on broadened thera-peutic window patients of mild-to-moderate cerebral infarction under the guidance of computer tomography(CT). METHODS:168 patients with mild-to-moderate cerebral infarction were randomly divided into control group (84 cases) and observation group (84 cases). Control group received rt-PA(0.9 mg/kg),and 10% of the total rt-PA was mixed and injected into patients within 1 min, the rest 90% adding into 250 ml 0.9% Sodium chloride injection (no less than 1 h),CT was performed after 24 h thrombolytic therapy, and the patients with no intracerebral hemorrhage in re-examination received 300 mg/d aspirin for 10 d,then 100 mg/d for 90 d,and appropriate statins, calcium antagonists,β-blockers and nitrates;observation group additionally received 40 ml Sheng-mai injection, adding into 250 ml 5% Glucose injection, intravenous infusion, once a day,for 28 d. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score,Rankin score, daily living-Barthel Index (Barthel) score, rate of symptomatic intracranial hemor-rhage,rate of secondary hemorrhage, hospitalization time,3-month postoperative mortality and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the NIHSS score,Rankin score and Barthel score(P>0.05). The NIHSS score in 2 groups after 6 h,24 h and 7 d were significantly lower than before, and observa-tion group was lower than control group after 24 h and 7 d;Rankin score after 3 months was significantly lower than before, and observation group was lower than control group;Barthel score after 3 months was significantly higher than before, and observation group was higher than control group,The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hospitalization time in observa-tion group was significantly shorter than in control group, and 3-month postoperative mortality was significantly lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions during treatment. CONCLU-SIONS:Based on conventional treatment,Shengmai injection has improvement in the rt-PA intravenous thrombolysis on broadened therapeutic window patients of mild-to-moderate cerebral infarction under the guidance of CT,it can reduce NIHSS score and Rankin score, increase Barthel score, shorten hospitalization time and reduce the 3-month postoperative mortality, with good safety.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(39):6309-6314
BACKGROUND:Bony and structural feature often cause pulout strength decrease of pedicle screw, which induces loosening and pulout, and finaly results in fixation failure. Thus, it is very important to elevate the stability of pedicle screw.
OBJECTIVE:To detect the biomechanical stability of bone cement injectable canulated pedicle screw, and to provide reference for bone cement dosage.
METHODS: We selected T11-L4 samples of seven fresh adult corpses, containing 40 vertebral bodies. They were randomly divided into bone cement injectable canulated pedicle screw group and DTPSTM pedicle screw group (n=20). After screw implantation, 1, 2, 3 and 5 mL bone cement was injected. The diffuse distribution of bone cement was observed by imaging. The maximum axial pulout strength was measured.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:When the dose of bone cement was 1-3 mL, the average maximum axial pulout strength was significantly greater in the bone cement injectable canulated pedicle screw group than in the DTPSTM pedicle screw group (P < 0.05). When the bone cement dosage was 5 mL, no significant difference in the maximum axial pulout strength was detected between the two groups (P > 0.05). The regression equation was Y=25.269X+133.681 (R2=0.837) in the bone cement injectable canulated pedicle screw, and Y=32.039X+99.251 (R2=0.936) in the DTPSTM pedicle screw group. When the dosage of bone cement was 1-5 mL, the maximum axial pulout strength was highly positively correlated with bone cement dosage (|R| > 0.8). These results suggested that bone cement augmentation pedicle screw could apparently elevate the stability of the screw. The maximum axial pulout strength of the pedicle screw was positively correlated with bone cement dosage. After reaching the satisfactory fixation effects, the bone cement injectable canulated pedicle screw can reduce bone cement dosage, diminish the risk of bone cement leakage, and have more advantages than DTPSTM pedicle screw.
