Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between Oxfordshire community stroke project(OCSP) classification and imaging classification in acute cerebral infarction. Methods Two hundred and thirty-six patients with acute cerebral infarction were retrospectively evaluated with OCSP classification and imaging characteristics. Results According to OCSP classification,of all the 236 patients with acute cerebral infarction,28(11.9%) experienced total anterior circulation infarction(TACI),71(30.1%) partial anterior circulation infarction(PACI),94(39.8%) lacunar infarction(LACI),and 43(18.2%) posterior circulation infarction(POCI).The consistency was found in 171 cases(72.5%) between the OCSP classification and imaging classification, with the accuracy of 76%(25/33) for TACI,81%(34/42) for PACI,71%(81/114) for LACI and 66%(31/47) for POCI. Conclusion OCSP classification can predict the location and size of cerebral infarction with a high accuracy, and is well consisted with the imaging findings.
3.Effect of ultraviolet C irradiation on the expression of basic fibroblast growth factor in gunshot wounds in limbs
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the effect of different irradiation doses of ultraviolet C ray(UVC)on the expression of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)in granulation tissue of gunshot wound in rabbit limbs. Methods After giving 30mJ/cm2 or 60mJ/cm2 UVC to the gunshot wound of soft tissue of limbs, the expression of bFGF was observed both at the mRNA level and the protein level by the methods of in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, respectively. Results On the 7th day after UVC irradiation, the expression of bFGF in UVC-treated groups was significantly higher than that in control group(P

Objective To observe the effect of pulse microwave combined with antibiotics on chronic prostatitis.Methods100 outpatients with chronic prostatitis were randomly divided into the trail group and control group with 50 cases in each group. The patients of the trail group were treated with pulse microwave combined with Ofloxoacin, and those of the control group were treated only with Ofloxoacin. The treatment course was 5 weeks. The evaluation with National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) and test of white blood cell (WBC) count in prostate secretion were performed before and after treatment for all patients of two groups.ResultsIn the trail group, the mean symptom degree score of NIH-CPSI was 9.3±2.6 and living quality score was 3.4±1.2, the total score was 12.4±4.1, and WBC count was 13.7±5.4/HP. In the control group, these indexes were 13.3±3.5, 4.5±1.2, 17.5±4.6 and 17.1±5.2 respectively. The NIH-CPSI score and WBC count of the trail group were lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05), and cure rate and total effective rate were higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05).ConclusionThe treatment of pulse microwave combined with Ofloxoacin for chronic prostatitis can improve the cure ratio and efficiency.

Objective To discuss the feasibility and the effects of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) in the treatment of the osteoporotic compression fracture in theupper and middle thoracic vertebrae. Methods The study included 101 patients.55 cases were treated with PVP (observation group) and 46 cases were treated with conservative treatment (control group). The clinical efficacy of those two different treatment methods was evaluated by the changes of VAS score,ODI score, vertebral height and Cobb angle before versus after treatment. Results VAS and ODI scores at 48 hours and 6 weeks after treatment was significantly lower in observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05).Although there was no significant difference in VAS and ODI scores between the two groups after 6 months of treatment (both P>0.05),the anterior and middle vertebral height was decreased and Cobb angle of spine was increased in control group as compared with observation group (both P< 0.05).Conclusions PVP is an effective and safe method in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in upper and middle thoracic vertebrae. The short-and long-term evaluation indexes are better in PVP than in conservative treatment. But the surgery should be proceeded under highly clear perspective equipment by the surgeons with highly level professional technology.Because the surgery is highly risky, surgery should be proceeded with cautions.

Objective To observe the fusion rate by using cage filled with osteophyte in anterior cervical disectomy and fusion. Methods From January 2010 to July 2012,81 patients receiving anterior cervical disectomy and spine fusion underwent treatment with cages containing exclusively autologous osteophyte collected from both anterior and posterior vertebral edges adjacent to the intervertebral space. There were 52 males and 29 females, aged from 55 to 78 years, average 64.1 years in this study.46 patients received one-level fusion, and 35 patients received two-level fusion respectively.Patients were followed up at 3 months,6 months and 1 year after operation. The fusion was evaluated by X-ray film and reconstructive CT.Results The total fusion rate after 3 months of operation was 76.5% (62/81),the one-level and two-level fusion rate were 78.3% (36/46) and 74.3% (26/35),respectively.The total fusion rate after 6 months of operation was 93.8% (76/81),the one-level and two-level fusion rate were 95.7% (44/46) and 91.4% (32/35),respectively.The total fusion rate was 100% (81/81) after 1 year of operation. No statistically significant difference in fusion rate was found between the two groups. Conclusions The method of using cage filled with osteophyte can acquire ideal fusion rate in one-and two-level anterior cervical disectomy, fusion and plate fixation.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(04):-
A new kind of curcin (curcin 2), induced by several kinds of stresses from Jatropha curcas leaves, under the control of the 35S CaMV (cauliflower mosaic virus) promoter, was introduced into tobacco genome by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation method. Curcin 2 protein was only detected in the transgenic tobacco plants transformed with the cur2p fragment (coding premature curcin 2 protein), but not in the plants transformed with cur2m fragment (coding mature curcin 2 protein). The transgenic lines expressing curcin 2 showed increased tolerance to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV).
