1.How to improve the level of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer: private opinions.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2012;15(7):649-653
At present, the level of diagnosis and treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer has a larger gap between China and developed countries. In recent years, the advent of new endoscopic imaging techniques has improved the detection rate of early gastrointestinal cancer. Along with this, endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) enables radical resection for early cancer. In this article, we discuss how to improve the level of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer.

2. Metabolomics study of Erzhi pills on acute hepatic injury induced by CCl4 in rats
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(10):808-813
OBJECTIVE: To observe the plasma metabolic changes of rats after acute hepatic injury induced by CCl4 and the regulating action of Erzhi pills (EZW, traditonal Chinese medicines) on abnormal metabolism, and to find the potential biomarkers. And to explore the mechanisms of Erzhi pills in treatment of acute hepatic injury induced by CCl4. METHODS: Endogenous metabolites in plasma were determined with RRLC-Q-TOF/MS. RESULTS: Nine potential metabolic biomarkers were identified qualitatively. Two metabolic pathways were identified using ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA). CONCLUSION: Changed metabolites can be recovered by Erzhi pills in different degrees, and the treatment effect of Erzhi pills may be related with the regulation of two metabolic pathways. Unique pathway analysis may be effective in drug-target identification, which helps to further understand mechanism of drug action, and improve research efficiency.

Objective To investigate the effects of colon hydrotherapy on lowering body temperature and serum enzymes as well as inflammatory cytokines of dogs with heat stroke. Methods 14 dogs were randomly devided into 2 groups,7 for each,as colon hydrotherapy group and conventional therapy group. After the reproduction of heat stroke model was finished(core temperature reached 43℃,maintaing for 10min),cooling therapy was commenced on dogs in circumstance with temperature at 23℃ and 65% of humidity.Conventional therapy group was lowered temperature by ice bags placed on conducting arteries, and the colon hydrotherapy group was by colon way therapeutic machine, the temperature of therapeutic liquid was maintained between 37℃~38℃.Cooling was finished while temperature in dogs reduced to 38℃.The periods of time for lowering body temperature in both groups were compared.Alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and creatine kinase(CK)were determined before heat stroke(0h),and 6h,24h and 48h after heat stroke.Interleukin-1?(IL-1?),Interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF-?)were determined by radioimmunity assay. Results Body temperature lowering time in dogs with colon hydrotherapy were 92.9?9.5min,which was significantly shorter than that of conventional therapy group(123.4?11.6min,P0.05).IL-1? in colon hydrotherapy group at 6h,24h and 48h after treatment were significantly lower than those in conventional therapy group(P
4. Study on the excretion of schizonepetin in rats
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(16):1318-1323
OBJECTIVE: To study the excretion profile of schizonepetin in rats. METHODS: An HPLC-UV method was developed and validated for the determination of schizonepetin in urine, feces and bile. Using this method, the excretion features were studied in rats after oral and intravenous administration. RESULTS: There was significant difference in the excretion percentages of schizonepetin between male and female both in rat urine and bile for oral administration and in urine for intravenous administration. No significant difference was observed in the excretion of schizonepetin through feces for the two administration routes. CONCLUSION: The amount of schizonepetin recovered from urine, feces and bile after administration is very low, indicating that schizonepetin is mainly excreted in the form of metabolites. Cancer Research and Clinic 2010;22(z1):11-13
Objective To detect the expression of osteopontin (OPN) in cervical local tissues of patients with chronic cervicitis, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), cervical cancer. To investigate the possibility that OPN is used as tumor marker of cervical cancer. Methods The expression of OPN in 25 cases of chronic cervicitis, 18 cases of CIN and 21 cases of cervical cancer was detected by immuohistochemistry SP method. Results The positive expression rates of OPN in the chronic cervicitis, CIN and the cervical cancer had a rising trend (48 %, 77.78 % and 80.95 %, respectively) and their differences had statistical significant (P <0.05). The OPN expression level in cervical cancer had no statistical correlation with age, tumor size, clinical stage and other clinical pathological features (P >0.05). Although OPN expression level in cervical cancer wasn' t related with tumor clinical stage, positive expression rates of OPN had a gradually increased trend along with the clinical stage. Conclusion High expression of OPN is found in cervical cancer and may be related to the occurrence and development of cervical cancer.
