Journal of China Medical University 2015;(12):1129-1131
Objective to investigate the effects of liraglutide on omentin-1 and insulin resistance in high-fat diet rats. Methods Forty male Wi-star rats were randomly divided into four groups, and respectively fed with normal diet(NC group),high-fat diet(HF group),high-fat diet with small doses of liraglutide injected intraperitoneally(HF+Lira 1 group),and high-fat diet with large doses of liraglutide injected intraperitoneally (HF+Lira 2 group). After 16 weeks, the body weight, serum lipid levels,omentin-1 and insulin were measured, and then the insulin resistance in-dex were calculated. Results the body weight, the levels of tG,and the insulin resistance index in HF group were higher than NC group,omentin-1 was lower, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). tC,LDL-C were elevated,HDL-C was reduced, but there were no statisti-cally differences(P > 0.05). Compared with HF group, the body weight, the levels of tG,and the insulin resistance index in HF+Lira 1 group and HF+Lira 2 group were lower,omentin-1 was higher, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). Furthermore, the effects of HF+Lira 2 group were more pronounced. Conclusion Liraglutide can restrain high-fat diet induced obesity, and improve insulin resistance through elevated the level of omentin-1 in dose-dependent manner.

Objective To observe the effect of pulse microwave combined with antibiotics on chronic prostatitis.Methods100 outpatients with chronic prostatitis were randomly divided into the trail group and control group with 50 cases in each group. The patients of the trail group were treated with pulse microwave combined with Ofloxoacin, and those of the control group were treated only with Ofloxoacin. The treatment course was 5 weeks. The evaluation with National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) and test of white blood cell (WBC) count in prostate secretion were performed before and after treatment for all patients of two groups.ResultsIn the trail group, the mean symptom degree score of NIH-CPSI was 9.3±2.6 and living quality score was 3.4±1.2, the total score was 12.4±4.1, and WBC count was 13.7±5.4/HP. In the control group, these indexes were 13.3±3.5, 4.5±1.2, 17.5±4.6 and 17.1±5.2 respectively. The NIH-CPSI score and WBC count of the trail group were lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05), and cure rate and total effective rate were higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05).ConclusionThe treatment of pulse microwave combined with Ofloxoacin for chronic prostatitis can improve the cure ratio and efficiency.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of ultraviolet C(UVC) irradiation at different doses on expression of transforming growth factor β(TGF-β) of granulation tissues in wound. MethodsAfter dosing 15mJ/cm2 or 60mJ/cm2 UVC on wound of rats, the expression of TGF-β were observed at both the mRNA level and the protein level by the methods of in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry respectively. Results At the 7th day after UVC irradiation, the expression of TGF-β in the 15mJ/cm2 group were higher than that in 60mJ/cm2 group and controls (P<0.05)at both the mRNA and the protein level. On the 21st day, the level of TGF-β mRNA in the 60mJ/cm2 group was higher than that in the other two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions At the early stage of wound healing, the treatment of 15mJ/cm2 UVC irradiation promots the expression of TGF-β and might be useful for accelerating wound healing. The level of TGF-β mRNA was up-regulated at the later stage at the dose of 60mJ/cm2 UVC irradiation.

National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(5):411-414
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical effect and safety of dapoxetine in the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE).
METHODSWe randomly assigned 116 PE patients to receive dapoxetine on demand at 30 mg qd (dapoxetine group, n = 60, aged 23-49 years) or oral tamsulosin at 20 mg qd (control group, n = 56, aged 24-46 years). After 4 weeks of medication, we compared the clinical global impression of change (CGIC) , PE profile (PEP) scores, intravaginal ejaculation latency time (IELT) , and adverse reactions between the two groups of patients.
RESULTSCompared with the baseline, the IELT was remarkably prolonged after treatment both in the dapoxetine group ([0.86 ± 0.17] vs [4.32 ± 2.23] min, P < 0.05) and the control ([0.88 ± 0.15] vs [4.17 ± 2.26] min, P < 0.05), with no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P > 0. 05). The post-treatment rate of CGIC in the dapoxetine group had no statistically significant difference from that in the control (85.00% vs 82.14%, P > 0.05). In comparison with pre-treatment, the patients of both the dapoxetine and control groups showed dramatically improved scores after medication in perceived control over ejaculation (0.85 ± 0.23 vs 2.13 ± 0.97 and 0.88 ± 0.21 vs 2.06 ± 0.34, both P < 0.05), ejaculation-related personal distress (1.15 ± 0.64 vs 2.89 ± 0.26 and 1.19 ± 0.53 vs 2.82 ± 0.69, both P < 0.05), satisfaction with sexual intercourse (0.81 ± 0.33 vs 2.58 ± 0.37 and 0.79 ± 0.28 vs 2.45 ± 0.32, both P < 0.05), and ejaculation-related interpersonal difficulty (2.05 ± 0.61 vs 3.24 ± 0.35 and 2.03 ± 0.65 vs 3.18 ± 0.76, both P < 0.05), with no significant differences between the two groups (P > 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower in the dapoxetine than in the control group (3.33% vs 30.36%, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONDapoxetine is effective for the treatment of PE, with its advantages of prolonging the intravaginal ejaculation latency time, improving the quality of sexual life, and low incidence of adverse reactions.
