Objective:To explore the influence of background data in multinutrient treatment for neonate with infection pneumonia. To study the relative risk factors in VA nutritional state. Methods:the orally vitamin A and vitamin E,zinc, selenite daily in 111 neonates in the randomized,double-blind, placebo-controlled,clinical Trial for 7 days treatment. We investigated and analyze the relevant biochemical,immune evidence, clinic data and background data, with multivariate stepwise regression analysis. Results:Mother’s age, parity,gestation age and birth weight play positive influence to clinical restoring. Neonate’s age and birth weight play a positive role to serum IgM in early stage of pneumonia,but mother’ s age is negativity. Neonate’s age is positivity in enhancing serum VA,and is negativity in advancing serum IgM. Mother’s age play a negative role to heighten serum RBP. Conclusion:Mother’s age,parity,gestation age and neonate’s age is important factors to influence the clinical treatment effect. Great age and many parity mother’s neonate,earlier period and large for date infant are more possible to VAD during sick period,and are more slow to recover. So they need the nutritional intervention all the better.

The ultrastructure of magnetotactic bacteria strain WD\|1 was reported.A thin sectioned profile of it clearly showed its cell wall,cell membrane,poly\|?\|hydroxybutyrates and magnetosomes.Meanwhile,the method of batch culture of strain WD\|1 was also reported,135mg/L dry cells could be gotten with this method.The energy profiles of X\|ray collected after electron excitation in SEM indicated that both dry cells and magnetosomes contained such mineral elements as P,S,Ca,Si,Al and Fe with different content.The iron content of its cells and magnetosomes was 3 07% and 84 57% respectively.

Objective To study the effects of Pioglitazone on TLR4 expression and peritoneal macrophage foam cells formation induced by ox - LDL.Methods Foam cells were cultured equally divied into four groups in random:the normal control,pioglizaone group,ox-LDL group and ox-LDL +pioglizaone group.The SD rats peritoneal macrophages were pretreated with ox - LDL(50 mg/mL)and Pioglitazone(20 mmo1 /L)respectively for 24 h.Then they were stained by oil red O to determine foam cells formation.The effects of Pioglitazone on foam cells TLR4 ex-pressions were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The SD rats peritoneal macrophages of control group and Pioglitazone group are not almost stained by oil red O,but the macrophages of ox-LDL group become dark red after stained by oil red O,and the cells color of ox-LDL + Pioglitazone group is thinner than that of ox-LDL group.The expressions of TLR4 in ox-LDL group are higher than those in control and Pioglitazone group significantly(24 h,t =3.015,t =4.007;48 h,t =3.100,t =4.008,P <0.01).while expressions in ox-LDL +Pioglitazone group are lower than ox-LDL group respectively(24 h,t =4.075;48 h,t =4.150,P <0.05).Conclusion Pioglitazone might inhibit the formation of foam cells by suppressing the expressions of TLR4 in macrophages.

Axial symptom,also called axial pain or axial neck pain,is a common complication after posterior cervical spine surgery.The symptom can be neck pain,as well as rigid,tension and dullness.The incidence of axial syndrome is estimated between 5.2％ and 61.5％.Often,the symptom does not disappear spontaneously.The quality of patients' life as well as the effectiveness of cervical laminoplasty is affected.It can be divided into early and late axial pain based on the onset time.The mechanism and reason are different,but both are difficult to subside.The incident of axial symptom is relatively high in conventional laminoplasty.However the modified one which preserve posterior ligament-muscular structure can reduce the incidence significantly.C2 spinal process as the attachment of cervical semispinalis,could reduce the incidence of kyphosis after operation.And C7 spinal process is an important structure in posterior ligament-muscular structure.Both should be preserved as much as possible in order to maintain intact attachment of muscles,which facilitates the patient to restore soft tissue tension by rehabilitation.Rigid fixation is another method of modification,it could avoid re-close of the open door,and reduce soft tissue injury.However,attention must be paid not to destroy facet joint to cause new axial symptom.Risk factors of axial symptom include past shoulder and neck pain and stiffness,others remain controversial.There is no correlation between loss of range of motion after surgery as well as change of cervical alignment and axial symptom.It is more likely to be a different result due to muscle atrophy.Although there are no golden standard of laminoplasty,doctors should follow these principles:preserve C2 and C7 spinal process when possible,rigid fixation to avoid reclose,reduce immobilization after operation,and encourage patient to start rehabilitation as early as possible to reduce incident of axial symptom.

Objective To analyze and explore the construction of information resource catalogue system in medical field for information exchange and sharing.Methods Based on analyses of challenges faced and service models of the catalogue system,the functions of the system were determined.Results The functional modules of the catalogue system were designed.Conclusion It is necessary to establish information resource catalogue system for multi-fields,large-scope information exchange & sharing,as well as cooperation between medical facilities and cost decrease of information acquisition.

BACKGROUND: Bilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with intervertebral decompression and fusion is a classic surgical approach in treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases, but it can cause ligament and other soft tissue damage of lumbar spine and degeneration of the adjacent segments. While translaminar facet screw fixation has its unique advantages.OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical efficacy of unilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with translaminar facet screw fixation and bilateral pedicle screw fixation for lower lumbar degenerative diseases.METHODS: Forty-six patients with single-level lower lumbar degenerative disease were enrolled, and were then treated with bilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with intervertebral fusion (group A, n=24) or unilateral pedicle screw along with translaminar facet screw fixation and intervertebral fusion (group B, n=22). Afterwards, the clinical indexes and efficacy were compared between two groups.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) All operations were performed successfully. The length of incision, operation time,intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume and cost of hospitalization in the group B were significantly superior to those in the group A (P < 0.05). (2) There was no significant difference in the rate of fusion between two groups (P > 0.05). (3) The visual analogue scale and Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores in both groups at 1 week,3, 6, 12 and 24 months postoperatively were significantly improved compared with baseline (P < 0.05), but the scores had no significant differences between two groups (P > 0.05). (4) To conclude, unilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with translaminar facet screw fixation and bilateral pedicle screw fixation both exhibit satisfactory treatment outcomes,while the former holds little trauma, good stability, high fusion rate and less cost, which is a better choice for lower lumbar degenerative diseases.

AIM: To establish the co-culture mode of tissue-engineered tracheal seeding cells, and compare with the routine culture, so as to provide the fundament of tissue-engineered trachea construction by cell compound materials. METHODS: The experiment was completed at the laboratory, Department of Respiratory Diseases, Tangdu Hospital, the Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA from May 2006 to May 2007.①Three healthy New Zealand male rabbits, weighed (250.00?0.75) g, were used in this study.②Co-culture mode: The tracheal epithelial cells and fibroblasts were isolated and then co-cultured for 7-10 days. The two kinds of cells were distinguished according to their different tolerances to trypsin. Subsequently, A hole received 0.5 g/L trypsinization, cells were suspended in DMEM medium containing 0.05 volume fraction of CO2 and then transplanted into B hole (fibroblasts); again, A hole was added with 2.5 g/L trypsin for digestion, afterwards cells were suspended with K-FSM medium and transplanted into C hole (tracheal epithelial cells). Routine culture: after isolation, tracheal epithelial cells were cultured and fibroblasts were purified, respectively.③The co-cultured cells and the traditionally cultured cells were compared via cell growth curve and cell proliferation detected by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazo-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. RESULTS: ①Cell growth: Co-cultured cells grew well, those in A hole increased intercellular apace after trypsinization, while cells in B hole were shaped as fusiform, without the manifestation of typical road stone-like cells, and cells in C hole were apposite, showing lamellar road stone-like morphology.②Cell growth curve: The growth curve of co-cultured cells was identical with that of cells by routine culture method.③Cell proliferation: MTT detection revealed no significant difference in the proliferation of co-cultured cells and cells cultured by traditional method (P

Objective To provide research means for study of buccal cavity vitodynamics and design of optimized dental prosthetic restoration and prosthesis,give model for virtual surgery effectiveness analysis of the varied mandible surgery program.Methods A middle-aged man with normotrophic temporomandibular system was chosen and 123 widths of two-dimensional CT scan images were obtained through scanning his mandible by spiral CT scanner.The precise shaped mandible CAD mode was established through surface fitting by CATIA of three-dimensional spot-cloud transformed from two-dimensional CT images by image processing software,and the finite element model required for mandible surgery program was established by MSC.Patran.Results The full dentition mandible CAD models and three-dimensional finite element models were established.Conclusion The normal three-dimensional finite element mandible model can really reflect the geometrical feature of mandible and has good similarity to physical mandible and it can be used as a research means for biomechanical studies.The model can be also provided pre-operative designed quantitative method for the variety of mandible surgeries.

Objective To study the effect of Xuebijing, a Chinese traditional medicine injection, on the THP-1 cells challenged by endotoxin, and to explore whether it induces endotoxin tolerance. Methods The THP-1 cells were pretreated with Xuebijing in different concentrations (10, 25, 50 mg/mL) and times (4, 12, 24 hours), and then challenged by endotoxin. The level of TNF-α in culture supernatant was detected by ELISA assay, and the expression of TLR4 and IRAK-M mRNA were detected by Real time-PCR technique. Results There was no significant difference in TNF-α level among all the groups (pretreated with different concentrations of Xuebijing for different time) (P>0.05). Only in 50 mg/mL Xuebijing group, TLR4 mRNA was 1.547-fold increase in 24 h than in 4 h group (P<0.05). Only when pretreated for 24 h, IRAK-M mRNA was 1.349-fold increase in 50 mg/mL Xuebijing group than in control group (P<0.05). However,there was no significant difference among other groups (P>0.05). Conclusions Xuebijing can not block the release of TNF-α from the THP-1 cells challenged by endotoxin;and it does not induce endotoxin tolerance. When pretreated with high concentration of Xuebijing for long time, the expression of both TLR4 and IRAK-M mRNA is up-regulated, but its significance is not yet clear.
