China Pharmacy 1991;0(01):-
OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formula of Ginkgo flavone tablets.METHODS:The effects of dextrin,CMS-Na,microcrystalline cellulose and L-HPC on the quality of Ginkgo flavone tablets were studied.RESULTS:The results showed that the optimum formula was 5% L-HPC Ginkgo flavone.Tablet prepared with this optimum formula was much better in terms of disintegrantion.CONCLUSION:The formula is reasonable and the preparation technic simple. The prepared tablets are suitable for clinical use.
3.Gene expression differences between murine intestine intraepithelial lymphocytes and splenic T lymphocytes
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2000;0(10):-
Objective: To compare the differences in gene expression between murine intestine intraepithelial lymphocytes (iIELs) and splenic T lymphocytes, establishing the cDNA subtractive library of iIELs, analyzing the iIELs special genes. Methods: The iIELs and splenic T lymphocytes were isolated by density gradient in Percoll and nylon column respectively. cDNA subtractive library of iIELs was established by improved subtractive hybridization. The cDNA was ligated with a different adaptor. After 2 rounds of hybridization and suppression PCR amplification, the PCR products were directly inserted into the plasmid vectors. The ESTs special for iIELs were screened by reverse Northern blot. Results: Fifty ESTs with obvious difference in the cDNA subtractive library of iIELs were screened. These ESTs were squenced and submitted to Genebank. The ESTs were analyzed through BLAST, and 14 genes special for iIELs were obtained. These genes were associated with the pattern recognition of pathogen, cytokine signal transduction and proteinase inhibitors. Conclusion: iIELs are important components of intestine natural immunity, it can recognize the conservative antigens of bacteria and can be affected by cytokines and proteinase inhibitors, leading to unique cellular behavior--more resting and less activation.
4.Differentiation of Candida Species by PCR-SSCP Fingerprinting Analysis
Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Thirty strains of seven Candida species from CICC(China Center of Industrial Culture Collection)were studied. The strains were differentiated by ITS1 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis and ITS2 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis. Results showed that both ITS1 region and ITS2 region were able to differentiate the seven species of Candida clearly. Contrasting the maps and effects on the identification of Candida species of ITS1 region with that of ITS2 region, result indicated that on the identification of Candida species the application of ITS2 region was better than ITS1 region.

Objective To study the role of gap junctions in epileptiform activity. Methods The epileptiform activity was induced by zero-Mg 2+ medium in cultured hippocampal neurons of newborn rats. Immunocytochemistry and real time RT-PCR were introduced to evaluate the expression of gap junction Cx32 and Cx43. Results The level of Cx32 mRNA increased quickly one hour after the neurons were treated with zero-Mg 2+ medium and was raised by 10 times 5 hours later, while Cx32 protein began to develop at the 2nd hour (21.80?1.74) and was raised by 5 times at the 8th hour (47.30?5.75). The expression of Cx43 mRNA went up obviously 5 hours later, and Cx43 protein developed visibly 8 hours later. Carbenoxolone depressed the expressions of Cx32 and Cx43. Conclusions The expression of Cx32 and Cx43 increases dramatically after epileptic discharges and carbenoxolone inhibits both the discharges and the expression of gap junctions, which indicates that gap junction could contribute to epileptogenesis.

Objective To establish a primary culture method of hippocampal neurons of new-born rats, and to observe the morphological characteristics at different developmental and differential stages. Methods The hippocampus was digested and the cells were seeded in a flask. The neurons were then transferred and re-seeded on cover glasses coated with poly-L-lysine.The neurons were identified by polyclonal antibody against neuron specific enolase(NSE).The morphology was observed under phase-contrast microscope. Results A large number of hippocampal neurons began to adhere to the cover glasses after 12~24 hours. They showed different shapes-shuttle,triangle,pyramidal,or nonregular after clinging to the plate.Their processes connected into nets and different in length and thickness. They were well developed on the 7th~10th day and survived as long as 28 days after seeding.Immunocytochemistry of NSE proved high purity. Conclusion The culture method of new-born rat hippocampal neurons in vitro is successful and can be used as an in vitro model of research.

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture on expression of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in brain of neonatal rats injured by intrauterine infection. Methods 43 pregnant Wistar rats were divided into two groups: lipopolysaccharide (LPS, n=35) and normal saline (n=8, as control), which were consecutively injected intraperitoneally with LPS (450 μg/kg) or saline on the 17th and 18th day of gestation. LPS group was randomly divided into the acupuncture group and model group. Acupuncture group was given acupuncture 7~21 d after being born. bFGF expression was assayed with immunohistochemistry. Results The number of bFGF positive neurons in the cerebral white matter was large in the acupuncture group, medium in the model group and little in the control group. Conclusion Acupuncture may be used to treat brain injury caused by intrauterine infection at the early stage, which may result from its up-regulating the expression of bFGF in the cerebral white matter.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(12):1118-1120
Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common physical disability in childhood, and severely affects child's development, but there is no effective treatment presently. It causes huge spire, economic burden for patients, families and society. With the development of perinatology, the mortality of neonates has decreased dramatically, but the morbidity of CP has shown rising trend. Therefore the treatment of CP has become the hot and hard spot for each national scientific research. At present the treatment of CP includes: medicine, operation, rehabilitation and other measurements. The main principle is detecting and treating in time. The prompt, long-term and regular rehabilitation training is the most fundamental measurement for the treatment of CP. The surgical, medical and other measurements can only create the condition for rehabilitation training or as supplementary method, but it can't substitute the rehabilitation training.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(02):-
Objective:To determine if growth hormone (GH) and glutamine (Gln) reduce the time and dose of parenteral nutrition (PN) in patients with short bowel syndrome. Methods: Sixteen PN-dependent patients with short bowel syndrome were randomly assigned to Group A (control, oral Gln [0.6 g/kg/d] + GH placebo + diet, n= 5), B (Gln placebo + GH [8 IU/d] + diet, n= 5), and C (Gln + GH + diet, n= 6). PN volume and content were determined by standard criteria based on clinical measurements. After 4 weeks, GH and GH placebo were discontinued, but the diet with Gln or Gln placebo was continued for 12 weeks. Results: Group B showed greater reductions in PN volume, PN calorie and PN frequency than Group A (P

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1997;0(06):-
Objective To study the role of GABA (? aminobutyric acid) transporters in kindled. Methods The rat's GABA model following PTZ kindled was made. The expression of GABA transporter subtype in the hippocampus(GAT 1 mRNA) was measured after PTZ (pentylenetetrazol) kindled seizures by using semiquantitative technique, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR).Results GAT 1 mRNA was significantly increased in the hippocampus at 0 hour,48 hours, and 1 week after PTZ kindled seizures. Up regulation of expression of GAT 1 mRNA returned to the control levels after 1 month. No changes in the expression of GAT 1 mRNA were observed after 60 days of PTZ kindled seizures. Conclusion The expression of GAT 1 mRNA with up regulation may be associated with the epilepsy susceptibility.
