Objective To study the correlation of blood drug concentration determination of sodium valproate in children with epilepsy by using enzyme-multiplied immunoassay test (EMIT) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), so as to provide basis of selection in clinical determination of sodium valproate ( VPA) .Methods 200 blood samples of epileptic children taking sodium valproate were collected, blood concentration were determined by EMIT and HPLC method, and the correlation was analyzed.Results The following regression equation was obtained by determination results of HPLC (X) and EMIT (Y): Y=1063.517X-331.351(r=0.933), which had significant correlation (P<0.05).The plasma concentration of VPA determined by EMIT was higher than that by HPLC.Conclusion The determination results of VPA concentration in epileptic children by using EMIT and HPLC has significant correlation, and it should choose the suitable method to determine the blood drug concentration of VPA based on the actual situation.

Objective To investigate the temporal and spatial distribution of Schistosoma infection of population and its risk factors in Eastern Dongting Lake area in 2012 and 2014,so as to provide the reference for formulating effective intervention mea-sures. Methods Junshan District was selected as a study field in Eastern Dongting Lake area. The method of spatial autocorre-lation analysis was applied to analyze the change of spatial distribution of Schistosoma infection in Junshan District in 2012 and 2014. The spatial regression model was fitted to detect the risk factors for human infection. Results The livestock infection rate in 2013 was lower than that in 2011. The average infection rate of schistosome was reduced to 0.55%in 2014. The spatial auto-correlation existed on the distribution of schistosomiasis in Junshan District in both 2012 and 2014 and 4 high incidence villages were identified. The results of the spatial error model showed that the prevalence of human infection was positively correlated with the infection rate of the livestock and the area of the susceptible environment in 2012. The spatial lag model showed that the prevalence of human schistosomiasis was positively correlated with the area of the susceptible environment ,but not with the in-fection rate of livestock. Conclusion The measures involving grazing prohibition and phasing out cattle and sheep are remark-ably effective and should continue on the basis of the current spatial distribution of schistosomiasis in this area.

Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) are a new kind of biological fluorescence material, which has many advantages, such as broad excitation spectra, tunable emission spectra and good photostability. In the field of biomedical detection, the problems encountered in the traditional organic dye-based biomedical detections, such as short fluorescence lifetime and failure to simultaneous excitation of multiple colors, can be solved by using QDs. Water-soluble QDs combined with specific bio-molecules can label targeting bio-compound, which is useful in bio-molecule detection, cell labeling, tissue imaging, and can be used in fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) technology. Combining QDs and protein chip technology to develop a new technology to detect multiple kinds of tumor markers will be one of the promising clinical applications of QDs with greater sensitivity, specificity, rapidity and convenience.

Objective: To analyze the association between tea drinking during pregnancy and the risk of preterm delivery and abortion,so as to provide basis for prevention of preterm delivery and abortion. Methods: The databases of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBMdisc,PubMed and Web of Science were searched for cohort studies and case-control studies into the association between tea consumption during pregnancy and preterm delivery or abortion until June 30 th,2019. Relative risk（RR）or odds ratio（OR）were used as indicators for the meta-analysis. Results: A total of 1 099 articles were retrieved,14 of them were included in the quantitative study,including 9 cohort studies with 18 295 exposed and 71 890 unexposed individuals and 5 case-control studies with 1 351 cases and 3 059 controls. There was no statistically significant association between tea drinking during pregnancy and preterm birth or abortion（OR/RR=1.08,95%CI：0.99-1.18）. The linear regression model of random effect showed that with the increase of tea consumption during pregnancy,the risk of premature delivery and abortion did not change significantly（OR/RR=1.05，95%CI：0.99-1.11）. There was no publication bias found in Begg's test and Egger's test. Conclusion Drinking tea during pregnancy is not associated with preterm delivery and abortion.

[Objective]To explore the relationship between peripheral arterial disease(PAD)and diabetic retinopathy(DR)in type 2 diabetes patients.[Methods]A total of 99 patients diagnosed with PAD were classified into grade 1-3 by their total scores of peripheral arterial stenosis assessed by color doppler ultrasound examinations,where the degree of stenosis 30% ~ 49% scored 0, 50%~99%scored 1,lumen occlusion(i.e. degree of stenosis 100%)scored 2,and therefore the total score 0-2 was categorized into Grade 1 ,3~4 into Grade 2 ,5~12 into Grade 3. The bilateral anterior tibial artery ,posterior tibial artery and dorsalis pedis artery of these patients were analyzed. The presence of diabetic retinopathy(DR)was graded from retinal photographs using a standard protocol.[Results]Among 99 cases of type 2 diabetic patients with peripheral arterial disease ,58.6%of them were male with average age of 67.3 ± 7.9 years old. Patients of Grade 1,Grade2,Grade 3 lesion accounted for 45.4%,30.3%,24.2%,respectively. Age, gender,smoking history,SBP,DBP,BMI,FBG,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,HbA1C among 3 groups were not statistically signifi-cant. The associations of DM duration and HbA1C value were significantly larger in DR than in PAD. The proportion of DR patients increased with the severity degree of PAD(p for trend=0.004). Degree of stenosis Grade 2 and Grade 3 could be predictive for DR.[Conclusions]DR is associated with the severity degree of PAD in type 2 diabetes patients as evaluated by duplex ultrasonography.Degree of stenosis Grade 2 and 3 could be used for screening or finding DR. Strategies for optimum treatment and early prevention are needed.

Objective:To observe the effects of different moxibustion times on proteins of transient receptor potential vanilloid 3 (TRPV3) ion channel protein and synovial cell apoptosis in rats with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), to provide a new basis for the anti-inflammatory mechanism of moxibustion. Methods:A total of 50 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into a normal group, a model group, moxibustion groupⅠ, moxibustion groupⅡ and moxibustion groupⅢ by complete randomization, with 10 rats in each group. Rats in the normal group were bred routinely, and rats in the model group were also bred routinely after successful modeling. After successful modeling, rats in moxibustion groupⅠ,Ⅱ andⅢ accepted consecutive moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) and Shenshu (BL 23) for 15 d, once a day, respectively 5 min, 20 min and 30 min for each session. The degree of paw edema was observed and recorded. Immunohistochemical assay was used to detect the protein expression of TRPV3 ion channel in dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord dorsal horn. Terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling (TUNEL) was used to detect apoptotic synovial cell number. Results: At the end of treatment, paw circumference of rats in moxibustion groupⅡ andⅢ were significantly reduced as compared with that in the model group (P<0.05). TRPV3 ion channel protein expression of dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord dorsal horn was higher in the model group than that in the normal group (P<0.05); the TRPV3 ion channel protein expressions of dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord dorsal horn in moxibustion groupⅡ andⅢ were higher than that in moxibustion groupⅠ (P<0.05); apoptotic synovial cell number in the model group was larger than that in the normal group (P<0.05), and apoptotic synovial cell numbers in moxibustion groupⅡ andⅢ were significantly higher than that in the model group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Moxibustion of appropriate time could induce TRPV3 expression, and promote synovial cell apoptosis.

Objective: To investigate the status and influencing factors of health literacy of middle school students in Yinchuan City, to provide reference for health literacy improvement of middle school students in this region. Methods: Using stratified cluster sampling method, 2 003 middle school students from three districts of Yinchuan were investigated to complete the questionnaire survey.The survey included basic characteristics, health literacy and screen time status. Results: The total score of Chinese Adolescent Interactive Health Literacy Questionnaire was(101.3±17.5). The proportion of high, medium and low level of health literacy were 25.0%, 51.2% and 23.9% respectively;the proportion of long screen time exposure among middle school students was 52.5%. The health literacy level of junior middle school students, middle school students with father or mother education level of high school or above and appropriate screen time were higher than those of the corresponding group（χ 2=49.90，14.59，16.53，46.73，P<0.01）. Logistic regression analysis showed that education group, grade, father s or mother s education level and long screen time exposure were associated with middle school students health literacy level(P<0.05). Conclusion The health literacy level of middle school students in Yinchuan City needs to be further improved and targeted health education should be carried out from school, family and society.

Objective To establish female and male bovine collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)models and compare the effects of gender differences on joint and extra-articular manifestations of the CIA model.Methods The CIA model was induced by injection of bovine type Ⅱ collagen and Freund's complete adjuvant into female and male SD rats.The general condition,arthritis index,foot swelling,serum proinflammatory factors and plasminogen activator inhibitor levels,spleen index,knee and ankle joint pathologies,right rear paw bone destruction,and pulmonary interstitial lesions were evaluated.Results The arthritis index of female CIA rats was significantly higher than that of male CIA rats on day 21 after initial immunization(P＜0.05),but no significant difference was found in the degree of foot swelling between the two groups at any time point(P＞0.05).Serum tumor necrosis factor α,interleukin-1β,and the spleen index of female CIA rats were significantly higher than those of male CIA rats(P＜0.05,P＜0.001).No significant difference was found in plasminogen activator inhibitor levels(P＞0.05).The scores of inflammatory cell infiltration and synovial hyperplasia in the knee and ankle pathologies of female CIA rats were significantly higher than those of male CIA rats(P＜0.05),and cartilage damage of the knee joint and bone damage of the right rear paw of female CIA rats were significantly higher than that of male rats(P＜0.05).Both male and female CIA rats showed pulmonary interstitial inflammatory cell infiltration and mild fibrosis,but the pulmonary interstitial lesions in females were more severe than those in males.Conclusions Female and male CIA models established in SD rats have arthritis and pulmonary interstitial lesions,but the lesion degree in female CIA rats is more serious.When using CIA models for RA-related research,attention should be focused on the effect of gender differences.

Quantum dots, as a new kind of biological fluorescence material, have properties superior to the traditional organic dyes. In the recent decade, researches about the application of quantum dots in biomedicine have made great progress. Tumor markers have vital importance in the diagnosis and treatment of carcinoma; however, they are not widely used for lack of specificity and sensitivity. Researches about applications of quantum dots in the detection of tumor markers are centralized in three aspects, namely the detection of serum/plasma tumor markers, the detection of tissue and cell tumor markers (such as molecular imaging of cell and tissue), and the detection of tumor in vivo animals. A combination of quantum dots and flow cytometry technique for developing a new technique to detect multiple kinds of tumor markers at the same time with greater sensitivity, specificity, rapidity and convenience may have the potential for clinical use of quantum dots.

Objective To apply PDCA(plan,do,check and action)cycle to optimize management and shorten the turnaround time(TAT)of five sex hormone tests for improving clinical efficiency and patient satisfaction.Methods A PDCA management team was established to retrospectively analyze the current status of sex hormone TAT in 2021.In 2022,PDCA tools were utilized,including fishbone diagrams for cause analysis,Pareto charts for root cause identification,formulation and implementation of corresponding im-provement measures and monitoring of TAT changes before and after PDCA.Results Through the corrective measures,such as staff personnel training,increasing testing equipment,optimization process and other improvement measures,the median TAT of sex hor-mone samples in 2022(post-PDCA improvement)was 54 minutes which was significantly lower than 61 minutes in 2021(pre-PDCA)(P＜0.05).Conclusion PDCA cycle management effectively shortened the TAT of sex hormone samples,enhanced clinical diagnostic efficiency and patient experience,improved doctor-patient relationships,while also elevated the quality management standards of labo-ratories.
