Chinese Journal of New Drugs and Clinical Remedies 2001;20(3):196-198
AIM: To understand the effects of benazepril in treating the diastolic function of the left ventricular in patients with hypertention and coronary heart diseases(CHD). METHODS: Forty-five hypertension patients with the left ventricular diastolic dysfunction(LVDD) received benazepril 10-20 mg, po,qd, for 5 mo. On the basis of receiving nitrates 36 CHD patients with LVDD added to receive benazepril 5 mg, po, qd, for 5 mo. Before and after the therapy, the utmost speed of the peak value at the left ventricular early diastole stage (E peak), the utmost speed of the peak value at the left ventricular late diastolic stage (A peak), the E/A ratio and peak filling rate (PFR) were determined by color Doppler echocardiography. RESULTS: After the therapy, the E peak, the E/A ratio and PFR were up higher than before the therapy, meanwhile the A peak dropped lower, there were significant difference respectively (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The LVDD can be improved distinctly if the patients with hypertension and CHD take benazepril for 5 mo or so.

OBJECTIVE:To systematically analyze the efficacy and safety of benazepril vs. captopril in the treatment of prima-ry hypertension and provide evidence-based reference for the clinical treatment. METHODS:Cochrane Library,PubMed,EM-Base,CJFD,VIP database and Wanfang database were retrieved to collect the randomized controlled trials (RCT) of benazepril (experiment group)vs. captopril(control group)in the treatment of primary hypertension. After information collection and quality evaluation,Meta-analysis was conducted by using Rev Man 5.0 software. RESULTS:Totally 7 RCTs involving 405 patients were in-cluded. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the level of systolic blood pressure(SBP)[MD=-2.06,95%CI(-3.75,-0.38), P=0.02] and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)[MD=-3.10,95%CI(-5.19,-1.01),P=0.004] in experiment group was sig-nificantly lower than control group;however, there were no significant differences between the efficacy rate of antihypertension [OR=1.63,95%CI(0.69,3.83),P=0.26] and incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADR)[OR=0.81,95%CI(0.46,1.41),P=0.45] in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Benazepril can more effectively lower the blood pressure of patients with primary hypertension than captopril. Due to the limitation of methodology quality,it remains to be further verified by high-quality and large-sample RCT.

Objective To analyze and evaluate the image quality and the impact factors of CT virtual endoscopy (CTVE) in the application of various body parts. Methods CTVE images from 143 patients were classified into 2 types according to the chosen threshold: low attenuation lumen (including natural air filled and artificially air filled lumina) and high attenuation lumen. A 4 point scale was used to evaluate the differences of diagnostic confidence, artifacts, and overall image quality rating between both kinds of lumina. Results There was no statistically significant differences in diagnostic confidence of CTVE images among 3 kinds of lumina, but the image quality of CTVE of natural air filled lumen was better than that of artificially air filled lumen ( P 0.05). There was a significant difference in artifact rating of CTVE images among three kinds of lumina with the most artifacts seen on images of high attenuation lumen. Common artifacts observed on the CTVE images were attributed to patient motion artifacts such as respiration, inappropriate choice of spiral CT scanning parameters, and improper modification of thresholds. Conclusion The threshold setting was one of the most important factors impacting the image quality of CTVE images, and most artifacts seen on the CTVE images were easily recognized on the basis of their characteristic appearance, and did not influence the diagnostic information heavily.

Objective To explore psychological resilience, anxiety, depression, coping styles and social supports status among parents of preterm infants of ophthalmic clinic, and analyze their relationship. Methods A total of 217 parents of preterm infants at ophthalmic clinic of hospital were selected by convenience sampling method and investigated by self- designed general information questionnaire, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, Self-rating Anxiety Scale, Self-rating Depression Scale, Social Support Rating Scale, and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Results The total score of psychological resilience was (67.48 ± 14.20) points. The average score of positive coping styles dimension was (1.98±0.50) points, and negative coping style dimension score was (1.19±0.55) points. The social support score was moderate with a total score of (42.75 ± 6.17) points, the anxiety and depression got a total score of (36.77 ± 8.17) points and (39.67 ± 9.02) points respectively. Psychological resilience was negatively correlated with anxiety and depression (r=-0.363--0.242, P<0.01), and was positively correlated with coping styles and the social support (r=0.141-0.312, P<0.05 or 0.01). Multi-factor linear regression analysis showed that depression and social support were the influence factors of psychological resilience(t=-4.376, 2.516, P<0.01 or 0.05). Conclusions The parents of preterm infants are at the poor psychological states. Coping styles and depression are the important factors which affect psychological resilience among parents of preterm infants. Nurses should assess the psychological status of the parents, provide targeted interventions to relieve stress, guide the parents use social support effectively, and improve their psychological state.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
The superior cervical ganglia (SCG) were dissected from neonatal rats.Dissoci-ated cell cultures were grown in Eagle's MEM supplemented with 20% calf serumwhich contain nerve growth factor (NGF).The cultures were divided into two groups:laser irradiation group and control. The former was exposed to lower dose of Helium-Neon laser (power:4 milliwatt)5 minutes every two hours. Two groups cultured for 20,22,24 and 28 hoursrespectively. Then the length of neurites of neurons were measured. At 22 hours,RNA and DNA synthesis of neurons labeled by ~3H-uridine and ~3H-thymidine wereobserved. The results showed that lower dose of Helium-Neon laser irradiation not onlypromotes growth of neurite but also enhances RNA synthesis of neurons in culture. However DNA synthesis in neurons does not promote in this experiment.
