Methods 100 cases of locally advanced cervical cancer treated in our hospital from February 2015 to November 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group were treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy with cisplatin combined with fluorouracil, experimental group were treated with paclitaxel and carboplatin chemotherapy, and give attention to patients with psychological intervention, mental health, strengthen communication and exchanges, the elimination of patients with anxiety. The treatment effect and quality of life index of 2 groups were compared and analyzed. Results After treatment, the total score of quality of life in the experimental group was (75.2 ± 11.2) points, significantly higher than that of the control group (64.2 ± 9.3), with statistical difference (P<0.05). Among the patients in the experimental group, 5 patients progressed, and 9 patients were stable. The number of effective treatment was 36. OBJECTIVE: To seek the bionic material myocardial extracellular matrix in the myocardial tissue engineering for the cultured myocardial cells and to provide a reliable scaffold.METHODS: A computer-based online search of CNKI and PubMed database to search articles published between January 1996 and August 2007 on scaffold material of tissue engineering.RESULTS: Natural biological scaffold materials with good biocompatibility and mechanical properties are ideal choice in the cardiac tissue engineering rapid prototyping technology. Natural biological materials such as collagen, chitosan have poor mechanical properties and plasticity, but good biocompatibility, which can be used for rapid prototyping of cardiac stents. The scaffolds which are prepared by the technology such as three-dimensional printing, laser sintering, three-dimensional pressing, selective laser sintering rapid prototyping technology on have the advantages such as high porosity, high surface area volume ratio, completely transparent among the holes, controllable macro-shape, porosity, and independent control of aperture.CONCLUSION: Through the use of dispersion/accumulation forming principle, surface modification of traditional biological materials in cardiac tissue engineering using computers and other high-tech nano-polymer technology is expected to provide ideal myocardial scaffolds.

BACKGROUND: Preliminary study has proved that the bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in a rat emphysema model produced by use of trypsin alone can "homing" to the lesioned lung tissues, and participate in the formation of pulmonary arteries to promote lung tissue repair. Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) play equally a powerful role in promoting angiogenesis. OBJECTIVE: To observe the influence of bFGF, VEGF and MSCs in regeneration of pulmonary capillary and pathological repair of pulmonary emphysema rats. METHODS: Except normal control group, the remaining 5 groups of rats were exposed to tobacco smoke and received a single intratracheally instillation of porcine pancreatic elastase to induce emphysema models. Following successful modeling, rats of bFGF group were intratracheally injected with 400 U bFGF and rats of VEGF group with 2 μg VEGF, once a week for three times. MSCs group was injected 1 mL suspension of 4×10~9/L MSCs into tail vein. MSCs+VEGF group was injected MSCs into tail vein and intratracheally injected VEGF (2 ug, three times) at the same time. Model control and normal control groups were intratracheally injected with equal volume of sodium chloride. Four weeks after treatment, arterial blood gas analysis was performed to observe pathological and morphological changes of lung tissues. CD34~+ expression in lung tissues was determined using immunohistochemistry method. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with model control group, PaO_2 values dramatically increased in VEGF group (P <0.05), while other indices remained unchanged (P > 0.05); there were no obvious changes in each index in other groups (P >0.05). Gross and microscopic observations showed that, lung was smooth, pale pink, and elastic in normal control group, with uniform size of pulmonary alveoli on cross-section; pathological changes of chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema existed in model control group, but improved in other 4 groups. Compared with model control group, mean pulmonary alveoli number and CD34~+ relative positive area dramatically increased in bFGF, VEGF, MSCs, MSCs+VEGF groups (P < 0.05), mean linear intercept and mean alveoli area were significantly reduced (P < 0.05). No significant difference was observed in each index among these 4 groups (P > 0.05). bFGF, VEGF and MSCs could improved the pathology of pulmonary emphysema models produced by tobacco smoking and intratracheally instillation of porcine pancreatic elastase. The possible mechanism of recovering the pulmonary emphysema is the proliferation of pulmonary capillary and enlargement of pulmonary artery, improved blood flow in the lung, improved ventilation/perfusion shunt, reduced pulmonary alveolus size and volume of the lung through self-compensation.

Objective To investigate the accuracy and efficiency of hand-held echocardiography (VSCAN) used by intensivist for the diagnosis and treatment decisions in emergency consultation for patients getting worse at risk of life-threatening setting in non-ICU ward. Methods A prospective study in acutely deteriorated patients needed the intensivist for emergency consultation in general wards was carried out.The consultation process was executed as follows:(1) The intensivist established an initial diagnosis based on medical history, physical examination and laboratory findings, and assessed the hemodynamics and the cause of acute respiratory failure and cardiac arrest according the documented information. The data recorded as control group (Pre-VSCAN) for comparison with the later available data in subsequent analysis.(2) Problem-based ultrasound examination was performed with VSCAN.For patients suffered cardiac arrest, the FEEL protocol was used to find the potential cause of cardiac arrest such as pericardial tamponade and massive pulmonary embolism screened. For the other patients,a simplified eFATE or BLUE-plus protocols were used based on clinical requirement. With the findings of ultrasound examination the intensivist established an final diagnosis and identified the hemodynamics and the lung pathologies. The consultation advice was then provided to the attending doctors of the patient. The intensivist kept the records of echo results, final diagnosis and consultation advice as data of study group data (Post-VSCAN).The response of the treatment and outcome were followed up.Two attending ICU doctors analyzed these data and judged the correctness of Pre-VSCAN and Post-VSCAN based on the response to treatment and the outcome. Results Ninety patients were finally included in statistical analysis.Sixteen (17.8%) cases,40 (44.4%) cases,29 (32.2%) cases and 5 (5.6%) were consulted for acute circulation dysfunction, acute respiratory failure, both reasons and cardiac arrest, respectively.Compared to pre-VSCAN,VSCAN verification can significantly improve the accuracy of the diagnosis (81.1% vs.58.9%,P =0.001),assessment of hemodynamics (78.3% vs.52.2%,P =0.009) and can find more accurate judgment of acute respiratory failure (71.0% vs.43.5%,P =0.001).Conclusion The hand-held echocardiography used by intensivist is valuable for the diagnosis and the assessment of cardiopulmonary status in case of request for emergency consultation in general wards.
