3.Application of pencil beam model based on point kernel in intensity modified radiation therapy.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(1):166-171
In this paper, a method for dose calculation with pencil beam kernels constructed by point kernel superposition was proposed to accelerate the dose calculation during intensity optimization iteration. With this method, the direct aperture optimization method can be integrated in the planning system based on point kernel convolution/superposition model. The dose calculation time was also reduced during the iteration. From the result of the phantom and clinical patient data test, it was concluded that this method could be used for the intensity optimization of iteration dose calculation as the satisfied precision due to the optimization result coherence obtained. By implementing the method in the planning system product based on point kernel convolution/superposition model, a lot of additional research and development works for the pencil beam dose calculation model as well as the product maintenance cost can be avoided.

4.mTOR signaling pathway and bronchopulmonary dysplasia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2016;43(1):41-44
mTOR signaling pathway is a highly conserved intracellular signaling pathway, which partici-pates in several signaling pathways, such as PI3K/AKT/mTOR, AKT/TSC1-TSC2/Rheb/mTOR, LKB1-AMPK-TSC-mTOR and FGF-10-Spry2-mTORC1-STAT3/HIF-1α-VEGF-A. mTOR signaling implicate in the regulation of the development of lung and many pulmonary diseases in many aspects, may be connected to bron-chopulmonary dysplasia. Bronchopulmonary dysplasia is one of the very common chronic lung diseases in pre-term,physical and chemical factors have been shown to induce acute lung injury, aberrant wound healing and lung fibrosis in the immature lung. This review summarizes relationship of mTOR signaling among lung develop-ment,acute lung injury and lung fibrosis,to explore the role of mTOR signaling in the development of bronchop-ulmonary dysplasia,in hope of providing novel method in the prevention and treatment of bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

6.Measurement and analysis of the nasopalatine canal and its relative position by cone-beam computed tomography
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2015;47(6):994-999
Objective: To evaluate dimensions of the nasopalatine canal and the relationship between the canal and the central incisors, and the canal and the crest, by using cone-beam computed tomography ( CBCT) . Methods:This study included 129 CBCTs, and the sagittal slices were used to measure the lower diameter ( Sda) , median diameter ( Sdb) , and higher diameter ( Sdc) , for calculating the average sagittal diameter ( Sd ); the coronal slices through canals were used to measure the lower diameter ( Hda) , median diameter ( Hdb ) , and higher diameter ( Hdc ) for calculating the average horizontal diameter ( Hd) , length ( H);the sagittal slices were used to measure the buccal bone thickness off the canal ( Bt) , and the distance to the crest off the lowest point ( At) , the horizontal slices were used to measure the distance between the canal and the central incisors ( Id) . These subjects were divided into two groups by gender;and divided into three groups by ages: (1) ≤30 years old, (2) 31 -50 years old, and (3) ≥51 years old. SPSS 17. 0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis. Results:The overall Sd was (3. 41 ± 0. 87) mm, the Hd was (5. 16 ± 0. 93) mm, and the difference was statisti-cally significant. The H was (14. 29 ± 3. 27) mm, the Bt was (7. 49 ± 1. 05) mm, the At was (8. 25 ± 1. 71) mm, and the Id was (2. 71 ± 0. 89) mm. Of the male and female, the Sd were (3. 64 ± 0. 90) mm and (3. 28 ± 0. 82) mm, P=0. 017; the Hd were (4. 98 ± 0. 89) mm and (5. 27 ± 0. 94) mm, P=0. 081;the H were (15. 47 ± 2. 75) mm and (13. 59 ± 3. 32) mm, P=0. 001;the Bt were (7. 90 ± 0. 96) mm and (7. 25 ± 1. 03) mm, P=0. 001; the At were (7. 41 ± 1. 86) mm and (8. 44 ± 1. 90) mm, P=0. 001; the Id were (2. 71 ± 0. 87) mm and (2. 72 ± 0. 91) mm, P =0. 983. Among the groups, no statistically significant differences were detected of the Sd (P =0. 325), of the Hd (P =0 . 636 ) , of the H ( P=0 . 292 ) , and of the Bt ( P=0 . 116 );statistically significant differences were de-tected of the At ( P=0 . 010 ) , and of the Id ( P<0 . 001 ) . Conclusion:The nasopalatine canal anatomy is highly variable. Gender is related to the nasopalatine canal length, Bt width, and At distance. While age was related to At, and Id, but no effect on nasopalatine dimensions. The CBCT is a useful device for studying the nasopalatine canal in three dimensions, prior to dental implant placement.

8.Effect of bilateral adrenalectomy on the susceptibility to NMDA-induced seizure and hippocampal CRH mRNA in young rats
The Journal of Practical Medicine 2015;(7):1099-1101
Objective To demonstrate the effect of bilateral adrenalectomy (ADX) on the susceptibility to NMDA-induced seizure and hippocampal CRH mRNA in young rats. Methods 60 Wistar rats at P10 were divided into control group, ADX group and Sham-ADX group. In the next day after operation, 7 mg/kg NMDA was injected to induce seizure, and incubation period (in minutes) as well as degree was evaluated. In situ hybridization was used to detect hippocampal CRH mRNA expression. Results Latency was (43.65 ± 2.96) minutes in control group, (35.05 ± 2.35)minutes in ADX group and (42.60 ± 1.90)minutes in Sham-ADX group. Latency in the ADX rats increased significantly (F = 73.73, P < 0.05). The seizure scale was (4.40 ± 0.60) in control group, (5.56 ± 0.76) in ADX group and (4.55 ± 0.76) in Sham-ADX group. The severity of seizures in ADX group increased significantly compared with the control and Sham-ADX groups (F = 15.52, P <0.05). CRH mRNA expression was 20% in control group, 55% in ADX group and 15% in Sham-ADX group. CRH mRNA in the ADX group was significantly elevated (χ2 = 9.048, P < 0.05). Conclusion Adrenalectomy exacerbates NMDA-induced spasm seizures in young rats , which might be related to CRH mRNA expression in the hippocampus.
