Objective　To summarize the experiences in caudate lobectomy in five cases of hepatic carcinoma.Methods　Five cases of primary liver caudate lobe cancer resected in the last five years were reviewed.Some problems including anatomy,the biological characteristics of the caudate lobe cancer,surgical approach,blocking of the liver blood supply were discussed.Results　One case died on the 11th postoperative day,the other four cases have been followed up for five years,two years and nine months,two years,one year and six months,respectively.They are all survived.Conclusion　Liver cancer located at the caudate lobe can be successfully resected as those located in other regions with a clear anatomy and a full exposure.

Objective To explore the clinical application value of blood uric acid(SUA),beta 2 microglobulin(β2-MG),lipopro-tein(a)[LP(a)]and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the early renal damage caused by elderly hypertension.Methods According to the clinical diagnosis,210 elderly patients with primary hypertension were selected as the research subjects and 50 healthy elderly per-sons as the healthy control.The SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels were detected.The differences were compared between the groups with the different severity degrees of hypertension and the healthy control group;Furthermore,these 210 cases of hyperten-sion were divided into the simple hypertension group and the hypertensive renal group according to the creatinine clearance rate (Ccr)for observing the changes of the four indicators.Results The blood SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in the hypertension group were significantly increased,which were higher than those in the normal control group,the differences had statistical signifi-cance(P <0.01);In the study by grouping according to the increase degree of blood pressure:the blood SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in the three groups of the grade 1,2,3 hypertension were significantly increased,the statistical analysis showed the sig-nificant difference between groups(P <0.05);Compared with the simple hypertension group,the SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP lev-els were significantly increased compared with the hypertensive renal group,the difference showed the statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclusion Monitoring blood SUA,beta 2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in elderly patients with hypertension can effectively monitor the early renal function damage in the patients with senile hypertension,can find the renal lesions more rapidly and effec-tively and is conducive to early diagnosis and treatment in clinic.

Objective:To study radiation sensibility of tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell line Tca 8113 and its multidrug resistance(MDR)cell line Tca 8113/CBDEA.Methers:MTT assay was used to determine the sensitivity of the cells to radiation.Cells were treated with 2 Gy of ?-radiation for 4 or 24 h.Real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to detecte the expressions of mdr related genes(mdr1,mrp1,gst-?)and HTS 7000 Plus Bio Assay Reader was used to measure intracellular ADM concentration.Results:Tca 8113/CBDEA cells were 1.24-fold more radiation resistant than that of Tca 8113 cells(P0.05),while increased 24 h after radiation(P

OBJECTIVE To investigate the etiological factors,diagnosis and therapy of postmenopausal pyometra.METHODS The 8 cases of postmenopausal pyometra who hospitalized at China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University were retrospectively analyzed.RESULTS Postmenopausal pyometra was related with senile vaginitis,endometritis,not taking out of IUD after menopause promptly and endometrial cancer.There were 3 patients complicated with uterine perforation and 1 patient complicated with septic shock.4 patients had intrauterine dropsy with ultrasonic inspection.5 patients were cured with draining in cavitary uteri,and 3 patients were cured with operation.CONCLUSIONS The courses of postmenopausal pyometra are slow moving,with no evident clinical symptoms,which is easy to be misdiagnoed.Some have severe complications.We should prevent the disease aimed at carly diagnosis and therapy.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) pretreatment on lung agaillst LPS-indueed injury in rats.Methods Fifty-four Wistar rats of both sexes weighing 180-220 g were randomly idivided into 3 groups:group I normal control(group C,n=6);group Ⅱ LPS (group L,n=24)and group Ⅲ PDTC(group P,n=24).Endotoxemia was induced by intraperitoneal LPS 8 mg/kg in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ.In group Ⅲ PDTC 120 mg/kg was injected iv at 30 min before IP LPS.Venous blood samples were collected at 1,3,6 and 12 h after LPS administration in group L and P and after normal saline administration in group C for determination of serum IL-6 concentration by ELISA.Six animals were killed at each time point after blood sample collection.The lungs were removed for microscopic examination and determination of W/D lung weight ratio,HSP70 expression and NF-κB activity.Results Intraperitoneal LPS significantly increased serum IL-6 concentration and W/D lung weight ratio,HSP70 expression and NF-κB activity in group Ⅱ.PDTC pretreatment significantly attenuated LPS-induced increase in serum IL-6 concentration,W/D lung weight ratio andNF-κB activity.The lung histologic dalnage induced by LPS Wag also ameliorated by pretreatment with PDTC.Conclusion Pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate pretreatment Can protect lung against LPS-induced injury through inhibition of activation of lung tissue NF-κB and up-regulation of expression of HSP70.

Objective To establish a method of fingerprint position, sample transfer and fingerprint DNA extraction in contact samples. Methods Sixty-six cases were visualized by 502 glue fingerprint fumiga-tion. Two methods, ordinary wipe and acetone wipe, were used to transfer cast-off cells of fingerprints fromtesting samples, respectively. DNA was extracted and purified by ultramicro magnetic bead kit. The data was resolved on genetic analysis after amplification. Results In 33 samples, 30 samples got better STR analysis by acetone wipe method. The peak range was 1 000-4 000 R FU and peak shapes were equable. It was hard to get ideal STR typing by ordinary wipe method. Conclusion The samples are visualized by 502 glue fingerprint fumigation and the case-off cells are transferred by acetone wipe method. The method shows better STR analysis result, which might be a better method for forensic sci-ence practice.

Objective To identify the relationship among glycogenes,N-glycans and hepatocarcinoma metastasis and drug resistance by studying the differential expressions of glycogenes and N-glycans in MHCC97-H and MHCC97-L human hepatocarcinoma cell lines,and to confirm the novel target of hepatocarcinoma metastasis and anti-tumor therapy.Methods Real-time PCR was used to quantitatively analyze glycogenes and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-lectin was used to analyze glycans characteristics.RNA interference approach was used to interfere the glycogenes,and the invasive ability in vitro and drug susceptibility of MHCC97-H cells were detected before and after interference.Modification of N-glycosylation (tunicamycin and PNGase F treatment) was done,and the invasiveness in vitro,tumorigenicity in vivo and drug susceptibility of MHCC97-H cells were detected before and after modification.Results The expressions of glycogenes and glycans were different in MHCC97-H cells and MHCC97-L cells.The silence of MGAT5 in MHCC97-H cells inhibited invasion ability and increased sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil in vitro(t =7.312,P ＜ 0.05).Modification of N-glycosylation decreased MHCC997-H cells invasion ability in vitro and tumorigenicity in vivo and increased sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil.Conclusion The differential expressions of glycogens and N-glycans in human hepatocarcinoma cell lines correlate with tumor invasion and drug resistance,and they are expected to be novel targets of tumor chemotherapy.

A new approach, combining microwave digestion and sensitive determination of selenium by a normal-phase high performance liquid chromatography after derivatization with 2,3-diamino-naphthalene was proposed to the measurements of trace selenium concentration in natural waters. Two digestions systems, I.e. HNO3 and H2SO4-H2O2, were evaluated and their working conditions were optimized. Under optimal conditions, this approach provides a detection limit of 7.2 pg (with HNO3） or 10.4 pg (with H2SO4-H2O2）, a recovery of 99.1%～103.4%, as well as a linear range of 0～1.5 ng Se(Ⅳ). The approach was applied to determine Se concentration in 4 different types of environmental waters (sample volume: 2 mL) and the concentration levels of 0.20～0．90　μg/L were found, with recoveries of 99.1%～103．4% by standard addition.
