3.Research and thinking on road traffic injury.
Acta Academiae Medicinae Sinicae 2007;29(4):455-458
The risk factors of traffic crash include drinking/drunk drive, accident proneness, fatigue driving, speeding, and poor vehicle quality. This article introduces the protection, emergency treatment, and basic scientific research of road traffic injury (RTI). As a public health issue, RTI is preventable, and personal factor is a key problem. It is important to establish an accurate and comprehensive RTI database, which may provide necessary information for the epidemiological research and crash prevention. The author also gives some suggestions on road traffic safety development in our country.

6.Bacterial biofilm on the apical external root surfaces of human teeth associated with chronic periradicular lesions
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To investigate the patterns of microbial infection on the apical external root surfaces of treated and untreated teeth associated with chronic apical periodontitis and to study bacteria in the biofilm in order to find out the species, constitution and origination of bacteria in periapical biofilm. Methods: Ten teeth with chronic apical periodontitis from patients of the Department of Stomatology of People's Hospital,Peking University: 5 untreated teeth with a radiographically visible chronic periradi-cular lesions and 5 teeth with extensive carious lesions, radiolucent lesions of varying sizes and attached periradicular tissues were selected for study.Using aseptic techniques and sterile instruments, bacterial samples of the root canals were taken, inoculated and separated according to usual practice. After extraction, ten teeth were fixed and the apical 5 mm portion of one root was sectioned.Root tips were dehydrated, sputter coated with gold, and then examined for the occurrence of bacteria on the apical root surfaces using scanning electron microscope.Five healthy teeth with vital pulp were used as controls. Results: Microbial study showed that ten specimens yielded bacterial growth. The most prevalent bacteria were P.micros and F.nueleatum.In the 5 untreated teeth, bacterial cells were usually observed close to the apical foramen in only 1 specimen.Morphologically, these bacteria consisted of cocci. In the 5 treated teeth,a dense bacterial aggregation composed mainly of cocci and rods was observed surrounding the apical foramen of all specimens.Besides rods, other bacterial morphological types were recognized, including coaggregations of cocci and filaments, characterizing a fully developed "corn-cob".No microorga-nisms were found in the healthy controls. Conclusion:Bacterial biofilm was always present in teeth with post-treatment endodontic disease. The presence of apical bacterial biofilm is clinically important, and it may cause failure of endodontic treatment as a consequence of persistent infection.
7.Silencing of osteopontin suppresses invasion and apoptosis of human gastric cancer MKN28 cells
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(14):-
Objective To detect the effect of osteopontin (OPN) siRNA on the growth, invasion and apoptosis of human gastric cancer cell line MKN28. Methods The eukaryotic expression vector of siRNA specific for OPN was constructed by liposome transfection, and the silencing effect was identified by fluorescence quantitative PCR and immunofluorescence staining. According to the inhibitory effect of the siRNA vectors, the experiment was divided into control group,non-specific OPN siRNA group,24-hour specific OPN siRNA group,36-hour specific OPN siRNA group, and 48-hour specific OPN siRNA group. The cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration and adhesion was finally detected among control group and OPN siRNA groups at different time points. Results For 48-hour specific OPN siRNA group, the expression of OPN in MKN28 cells was the lowest. Accordingly, the cell viability was decreased and the cell proliferation inhibitory rate was reduced to 30.20%; the ability of migration and adhesion was decreased, the number of cells attached on stromal cell membrane was much lesser (21.8?6.9 vs 42.0?9.4 in control group),and the ratio of cell adhesion on basement membrane matrix and fibronectin was lower [basement membrane matrix: (41.5?8.4)% vs (20.5?4.5)%; fibronectin: (25.3?4.5)% vs (14.6?2.5)% in control group],as well as the cell apoptotic rate was increased compared with the control group. Conclusion OPN gene silencing can inhibit the growth and invasion,as well as accelerate apoptosis in human gastric cancer MKN28 cells.
8.Quality Analysis of 10 Prepared Pieces of Radix Sanguisorbae on Market
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(01):-
To evaluate the internal quality of prepared pieces of Radix Sanguisorbae combinatively, the characteristics comparision, content determination of aqueous extract and tannins, and coagulation experiment of 10 prepared pieces of it on the market have been carried out. Based on these studies, it is the best to use the crude one in compound Chinese medicines. But its original property must be retained if it is baked into charcoal for use. The quality standards of Radix Sanguisorbae and its processed product into charcoal were also described.
9.Analysis of risk factors for acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease induced by community-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2017;36(8):864-867
Objective To study the risk factors of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD) induced by community-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA) infection which provides the basis for early clinical intervention in high-risk patients. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data from 236 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD was conducted in Department of Respiratory Medicine of our hospital from January 2015 to December 2015.The patients were divided into PA group(n=44)and the non-PA group(n=192)according to respiratory tract pathogen infection. The univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed between the two groups to analyze risk factors for AECOPD induced by PA infection. Results Univariate analysis showed that hypoalbuminemia,AECOPD-induced hospitalization in the recent one year, application of broad spectrum antibiotic within recent 90 days, intermittent use of systemic corticosteroids within recent 90 days, lung function grading of GOLD3/4 level in COPD,acute exacerbation frequency> 1 time in last year, the BODE index, walking distance during six minutes,mMRC grading, and CAT scores were significantly correlated with occurrence of community acquired PA-induced AECOPD(all P< 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that higher BODE index,AECOPD-induced hospitalization in the last year, the use of broad spectrum antibiotic within 90 days and hypoalbuminemia were independent risk factors for community acquired PA induced-AECOPD(OR =14.573、18.958、4.170、5.112,all P<0.05).Conclusions We suggest that the COPD patients having a higher BODE index scores should be clinically intervened early to reduce the occurrence of AECOPD-induced hospitalization, should receive active etiology examination, and should receive therapies for community-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA)infection with specific narrowspectrum antibiotics according to the drug susceptibility and multiple comprehensive measurements, and for correcting hypoalbuminemia.
10.Research on Solid Pressure Sensor for High-pressureMeasurement Based on Fiber Bragg Grating
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2017;45(7):980-986
Solid internal pressure is one of the important parameters in traffic bridge and defense field. However, the existing testing equipments have the defects of serious electromagnetic interference, poor reliability, and poor accuracy. To overcome the above problems, a fiber bragg grating (FBG) high pressure solid pressure sensor which used thin plates as elastic bearing diaphragm and applied the deflection under pressure to pull the pressure sensitive grating to realize pressure sensing axial displacement was designed.By calculating on the structure according to the measurement range and finite element simulation, its feasibility was confirmed. In the laboratory with constant temperature, the pressure calibration experiment was carried out, and the temperature compensation was performed by the temperature compensation grating in the same temperature field to correct the temperature drift of strain grating.Experimental results showed that the newly devised FBG pressure sensor could sense the pressure as high as 50 MPa, with a linearity of 99.2%.
