The association between CXCL5 gene polymorphism and obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) was explored. The distribution of CXCL5 gene promoter region-156G/C polymorphism revealed no significant difference between normal control group and T2DM group (P>0.05).The frequency of C allele gene in obesity group was higher than that in non-obesity group(P<0.05).The results suggest that the CXCL5 promoter gene -156G/C polymorphsim has no relation with T2DM,but it is a risk factor for obesity.

Objective To investigate the value of prospectively electrocardiogram (ECG)-triggered high-pitch coronary computed tomography angiography at 70 kV and 30 mL contrast medium with Stellar detector dual-source CT.Methods 60 patients with the BMI<24.9 kg/m2 were randomized into two groups:Group A (30 cases)with the tube voltage of 70 kV and 30 mL contrast medi-um.Group B (30 cases)with the tube voltage of 100 kV and 50 mL contrast medium. All the patients were performed with a Stellar detector dual-source CT using a prospectively ECG triggered high-pitch spiral technique. The images of Group A were reconstructed with SAFIRE technique, while Group B were with FBP technique. The objective image quality includes CT attenuation,SNR, CNR.And radiation dose was also calculated. The subjective was evaluated by 4-scale point.Independent sample t test was used.Re-sults There was no difference for subjective image quality between the groups,A:(3.38±0.942),B:(3.50±0.682),(t=-0.562, P >0.05).The CT attenuation of the 70 kV group were higher than that of the 100 kV group for all the segments(P <0.01).The SNR and the CNR have no statistically significant difference between the groups (P >0.05).Compared with the 100 kV group, the radiation dose of the 70 kV group was reduced by 76.5% (A:0.19±0.023 mSv,B:0.81±0.101 mSv,P <0.01).Conclusion Using 70 kV with 30 mL contrast medium in Stellar detector dual-source CT coronary angiography for the patients with a normal BMI could obtain qualified diagnostic image with low radiation dose and contrast medium.

This paper aimed at studying the effects of hyaluronic acid (HA) with different molecular weights on the transdermal absorption and retention of reduced glutathione (GSH) in the isolated skin of SD rats. Franz diffusion cell method was used to investigate the effects with different molecular weights HA on the in vitro transdermal penetration of GSH and the storage in different layers of the skin. AutoDock molecular docking was used to study the interaction between GSH and HA. Attenuated total reflection Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and H&E section staining were used to characterize the changes and effects of lipids and proteins in the rat stratum corneum after HA acts on the skin. The results of in vitro transdermal experiments showed that HA with different molecular weights had a significant impact on the amount of GSH passing through the skin, that as the molecular weight of HA increased, the effect of preventing GSH from passing through the skin became stronger, that in terms of skin storage, HA with different molecular weights could increase the storage of GSH in the stratum corneum, and that HA with a molecular weight below 7K could also significantly increase the storage of GSH in the dermis. The molecular docking results showed that HA and GSH had a relatively strong interaction, which could form intermolecular hydrogen bonds; and the results of ATR-FTIR and H&E staining showed that HA could interact with lipids and keratins in the stratum corneum of the skin. Such interaction can increase the permeability of the stratum corneum of the drug, however, as a water-soluble GSH, it may be involved in the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds with HA. In the structure of HA hydrogel, the amount of GSH drug passing through the intact skin is reduced; but at the same time, this interaction also provides a reservoir for the formation of GSH, thus increasing its storage in the skin. Through comparison of the storage capacity of GSH in the stratum corneum and dermis of the isolated skin due to the increase of HA with different molecular weights, it has been found that the storage capacity of HA with low relative molecular weight is the best.

Objective:To investigate the incidence of hypoalbuminemia in elderly patients undergoing endovascular treatment(EVT)for large vessel occlusion and to analyze the correlation between hypoalbuminemia and prognosis of EVT.Methods:A total of 640 elderly patients receiving EVT due to acute large vessel occlusion, aged(71.5±7.4)years with 377 males(58.9%), were enrolled into the prospective multicenter cohort study from July 2018 to May 2019.The patients were grouped as the low albumin group(serum albumin levels within 24 h after EVT <35 g/L, n=191, 29.8%)and as the normal albumin group(serum albumin levels≥35 g/L, n=449, 70.2%). The primary outcome was 90-day nerve functional independence defined by the modified Rankin Scale score 0-2.Outcomes were assessed as odds ratio( OR)by using multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results:The proportion of prognosis of good nerve functional independence at 90 d was lower in the low albumin group than in the normal albumin group[22.5%(43 cases) vs.41.9%(188 cases), OR=1.88, 95% CI: 1.20~2.95, P=0.01]. The incidence of early neurological deterioration was higher after treatment( OR=0.57, 95% CI: 0.37~0.88, P=0.01), and the proportions of multiple systemic complications were higher( P<0.01)in the low albumin group than in the normal albumin group. Conclusions:Hypoalbuminemia after EVT is correlated with the poor prognosis at 90 d in elderly patients.Elderly patients with hypoalbuminemia after EVT have higher incidences of multiple systemic complications.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of anterior controllable antedisplacement and fusion (ACAF) for the treatment of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) of the cervical spine. Methods The data of 45 cases with cervical posterior longitudinal ligament ossification treated by ACAF from March 2017 to October 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, including 25 males and 20 females, age 45-68 years, average 57.5 years. There were 18 cases involving C3 vertebral body,30 cases involving C4 vertebral body,40 cases involving C5 vertebral body,34 cases involving C6 vertebral body, and 7 cases involving C7 vertebral body. The function of the neural function was evaluated by the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scoring system at preoperation and latest follow-up.The curvature of the cervical spine was measured on the lateral X-ray film of the cervical spine, the maximum occupying ratio of the spinal canal was measured on the cross section of the CT scan, and compression of the cervical spinal cord was evaluated by the cervical MRI.Results Patients were followed up for 3 to 6 months (average,3.9 months). The improvement of neurological function was obtained in all the patients. The JOA score improvement rate at the latest follow-up was 71.3%±9.6%.The cervical lordosis was improved from preoperative 4.5°±3.8° to 10.3°±4.8° at the latest follow-up.The canal stenosis ratio was decreased from preoperative 54.3%±8.2% to 12.5%±5.3% at the latest follow-up.MRI showed that the cervical spinal cord was adequately decompressed in situ.No specific complications were identified that were associated with this technique. Conclusion The present study elaborates the surgical tips and demonstrates the satisfactory outcome of ACAF for the treatment of OPLL.This novel technique has the potential to serve as an alternative surgical technique for the treatment of cervical OPLL.
