Aim To study the proliferative effect of resveratrol pretreatment on oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation ( OGD/R ) injury of rat cortical neural stem cells ( NSCs ) in vitro. Methods Isolation and purification of NSCs in neonatal Sprague-Dawley( SD) rats were conducted by suspended cultivation. The third passage NSCs of adherent culture was cultured under oxygen and glucose deprivation for 150 min and reoxygenation for 24 h. The experimental subjects were divided into normal, control, ethanol and resveratrol pretreatment groups. Immunofluorescence was used to identify NSCs. Cell viability was detected with CCK-8 assay. Flow cytometry cell cycle and BrdU assay were used to measure cell proliferation. Results Cells both in suspended and adherent cultivation highly expressed neuroepithelial stem cell protein ( nestin ) . Compared with the control group, NSCs viabilities and prolifera-tion in resveratrol groups (1, 5, 20 μmol·L-1 ) were significantly heightened, and highest in the 5 μmol · L-1 resveratrol group ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusion Res-veratrol pretreatment can reduce injury and promote proliferation of NSCs after oxygen-glucose deprivation /reoxygenation.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2017;25(11):744-748
With the development of nanomaterials and nanotechnology, nanomedicine possesses the vast application prospects in the field of cancer therapy. Although the proportion of radiotherapy in cancer comprehensive therapy is rising, the radiotherapy resistance of cancer cells and the side effects of radiotherapy are the existing problems. Compared with the traditional radiotherapy sensitization, it will present a higher treatment efficiency and lower toxicity to introduce nanomaterials and nanotechnology to cancer radiotherapy. This review elaborates the research of nanomaterials and nanotechnology on cancer radiotherapy sensitization.

OBJECTIVE:Clinically, chronic ankle instability has symptoms such as muscle weakness, loss of control and repeated sprains. These symptoms can be effectively improved by means of exercise intervention. Here,we conducted a comprehensive quantitative evaluation of the effects of exercise intervention on chronic ankle instability at home and abroad through Meta-analysis,and examined the moderating effects of different exercise interventions on chronic ankle instability in terms of effect size and exercise dose. METHODS:CNKI,WanFang,Web of Science,EBSCO-SPORTD and PubMed were searched and screened for relevant literature regarding randomized controlled trials of an exercise intervention program against chronic ankle instability.Included literature was analyzed by using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata-SE 15. RESULTS:A total of 52 documents were included with 1 880 patients with chronic ankle instability.Meta-analysis showed that exercise intervention could improve the functional score of patients with chronic ankle instability to a large amount.Neuromuscular control training,a 12-week intervention cycle, and two weekly interventions of>60 minutes are the best protocol for improving instability symptoms in patients with chronic ankle instability.Exercise intervention could improve the dynamic balance of patients with chronic ankle instability to reach the medium equivalent stress. The best exercise program to improve the dynamic balance ability is a combination of neuromuscular control training and hip strength training, with an exercise dose of 30-60 minutes, two or three times per week, for 8 weeks in total. CONCLUSION:Different exercise forms have a good effect on improving the unstable symptoms and dynamic balance ability of patients with chronic ankle instability, among which neuromuscular control training has a more comprehensive effect on improving chronic ankle instability. It is recommended that a multifunctional combination of training forms be used as a means of rehabilitation rather than a single form of exercise.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2018;26(11):734-737
The abuse of antibiotics has been increasing bacterial resistance, which means there is a need to develop methods for the efficient detection and effective treatment of multiresistant bacterial infections. As one of graphene-based materials, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have distinct mechanical, electrical, and optical properties, including a small size, a large surface area-to-volume ratio, biocompatibility, antimicrobial activity and tunable photoluminescence. Therefore, GQDs are expected to be widely used as antimicrobial materials, drug delivery carriers and photosensitizers in antibacterial applications. In this review, we focus on their synthesis, characteristics and antimicrobial applications in oral medicine.

Objective To investigate the changes of plantar pressure distributions and risk of falling before and after the occurrence of neurogenic intermittent claudication (NIC) in patients with central lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS), so as to provide theoretical and data references for the application of plantar pressure analysis in judgment of walking abilities for LSS patients. Methods Twelve patients with LSS at the L4-5 segment were selected as the LSS group, while twelve healthy adults at the same age were selected as the control group. Footscansystem was used to measure plantar pressure of these subjects during walking. Contact area percentage of the total foot contact area (CA%), pressure-time integral (PTI), foot progression angle (FPA), contact time percentage of the stance time (CT%) and total stance time (CT) in both LSS group and control group were compared to evaluate changes of plantar pressures during walking. Results Before the occurrence of NIC, compared with the control group, the LSS group had lower CT% during the forefoot push-off phase (FFPOP) and higher CT% during the initial contact phase (ICP), the total CT and FPA also increased, and the PTI of the 1st-3rd metatarsals and the CA% of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals were higher. After the NIC occurred, for LSS group, CT% during ICP and forefoot contact phase (FFCP) decreased, CT% during the foot flat phase (FFP) and FFPOP as well as total CT and FPA increased, the PTI and CA% increased in 1st-4th metatarsals. Moreover, the CA% also increased in toe zone, both the PTI and CA% decreased in heel zone. Conclusions In patients with central LSS during walking, the distribution of plantar pressure shifts forward, with abnormal phase of the stance time occurring. Such abnormality will be further aggravated by NIC, indicating a higher risk of falling.
