Objective To explore particularity of the diagnosis and treatment with massive bilateral chronic subdural hematoma (BCSDH) in elders.Method The clinical data of 25 elders with BCSDH treated in our hospital from 2007 to 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.All patients were examined with computerized tomography (CT) of 25 patients through the bilateral trephined hole.Results Twenty-four patients recovered better,the symptom significantly improved.After operative 1 month,14 patients? hematoma disappear,6 patents only had little bilateral subdural effusion,4 patents only had little unilateral subdural effusion.One patient appeared massive subdural effusion on the second day after operation,the familiality gave up therapy,and the patient was dead.Conclusion CT scanning should be taken before you make correct diagnisis.Bilateral single twist-drill craniostomy with irrigation and drainage is a chief method to massive BCSDH.

Objective: To use ultrasound elasticity imaging (UEI) technology for evaluating the elasticity changes of the deep vein thrombosis (DVT) at different stages. Methods: Conventional ultrasonic diagnoses were performed in 49 patients with DVT and the patients were divided into acute stage, sub-acute stage, and chronic stage. The elastic image characteristics of the thrombosis were observed at different stages and the strain ratio (B/A) between the muscle tissue around the vein and the thrombosis was calculated. Results: (1) In ultrasound elasticity image, the acute thrombosis was mainly red, the sub-acute thrombosis was green, and the chronic thrombosis was blue. (2)The strain ratio of the sub-acute thrombosis group and the chronic thrombosis group were significantly higher than that of the acute thrombosis group(P<0.001, P<0.05), and the strain ratio of the chronic thrombosis group was significantly higher than that of the sub-acute thrombosis group(P<0.05). Conclusion: UEI technology can be used to evaluate the elastic changes in different stages of the deep vein thrombosis, and it can help to select treatments for thrombosis and predicting the complications.

Objective To explore the evaluation for apraxia of speech (AOS) with Chinese. Methods 20 Chinese cases with AOS were assessed with Chinese material referred from Motor Speech Evaluation (MSE) using. Results The subtest of multiple repetitions of multisyllabic words was the most difficult and single repetitions of monosyllabic words was the easiest for AOS patients (P<0.05). The score of the short sentences negatively correlated with both the scores of repetition ability (r=-0.865) and the fluency of speech (r=-0.614) (P<0.001).Conclusion Chinese material referred from MSE can be used for evaluation of AOS with Chinese.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of loss of a spouse on self-rated health among middle-aged and elderly populations in China, so as to provide insights into health promotion among middle-aged and elderly populations with loss of a spouse. Methods: Based the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) database, married and separated individuals or individuals with loss of a spouse at ages of 45 years and older and with monthly household consumption of no less than 100 yuan were enrolled. Subjects' age, gender, educational levels, marital status, monthly household consumption, number of chronic diseases and self-rated health were collected. Subjects were classified according to loss of a spouse, and the impact of loss of a spouse on self-rated health was evaluated among middle-aged and elderly populations using propensity score matching (PSM). In addition, heterogeneity test was performed to evaluate the gender- and educational level-stratified impacts. Results: Totally 3 272 valid subjects were enrolled, including 1 618 men (49.45%) and 1 654 women (50.55%), and there were 512 subjects with loss of a spouse (15.65%). There were 656 subjects with very good self-rated health (20.05%), 622 with good health (19.01%), 1 534 with fair health (46.88%), 376 with poor health (11.49%) and 84 with very poor health (2.57%). There were 3 152 couples with successful nearest neighbor matching, and there was no significant difference between the subjects with and without loss of a spouse after adjustment for variables (P>0.05), while the overall fitting degree of the model was good following matching. PSM showed that the self-rated health became poor following loss of a spouse among middle-aged and elderly populations, with average treatment effect (ATT) of 0.055 to 0.061, and a remarkably negative effect of loss of a spouse on self-rated health was seen in women, with ATT of 0.192 to 0.223, while no remarkable effect was seen in men. Loss of a spouse showed a remarkably negative effect on self-rated health among individuals receiving junior and senior high educations, with ATT of 0.048 to 0.057, but presented no remarkable effect on self-rated health among individuals receiving primary educations. Conclusions Loss of a spouse presents a negative effect on self-rated health among middle-aged and elderly populations, and remarkably negative effects are seen among women and individuals receiving high educational levels.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which has the main clinical features of intrusive obsessions and compulsive behaviors, is listed as one of the top ten disabling diseases by the World Health Organization.Error related negativity(ERN) is a neurocognitive alarm signal in the case of errors.The individual differences in the ERN reflect the variability in reactivity to errors and to an internally generated threat.More and more studies have reported that ERN amplitudes in OCD have significantly increased.As a result, overactive error-monitoring is a core dysfunction disorder in OCD, which is closely related to the key symptoms of OCD including worry, doubt, repeating check behaviors.In addition, the increased ERN amplitudes are expected to serve as a diagnostic or predictive marker of OCD as well as a potential intervention target of this disease.Therefore, further understanding about the relationship between ERN and pathophysiology of OCD plays an important role in the effective diagnosis and treatment of OCD.The current paper aims to review the research results of ERN in patients with OCD and explore the following issues: the common experiment paradigms of ERN in OCD, the brain region sources of ERN in OCD, the characteristic manifestations of ERN in OCD, influencing factors of ERN and clinical value and application of ERN in OCD.In a word, it will provide reference for clinical practice and scientific research in the future.

●METHODS: A total of 526 cataract patients included in regaining sight project of China Disabled Persons' Federation were underwent anti - eyebrow small incision cataract extraction combined with lOL implantation from May 2010 to August 2013.
●RESULTS: Postoperative 1d, uncorrected visual acuity >0. 3 were 345 cases (65. 6%), 0. 1 - 0. 3 were 152 cases (28. 9%), <0. 1 were 29 cases (5. 5%); 1wk after surgery:>0. 5 were 395 cases (75. 1%), 0. 3 - 0. 4 were 101 cases (19. 2%), < 0. 3 were 30 cases (5. 7%). Visual recovery rate was 100%, residual rate was 92. 5%. lntraoperative, 16 cases occurred posterior capsular rupture, 3 cases iridodialysis, 2 cases were Descemet's membrane avulsion. Postoperative, 56 cases ocurred corneal edema, 10 cases of central cornea stroma edema, 22 cases of secondary high intraocular pressure, were restored to normal bansis on the corresponding treatments.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and regularity of adverse drug reaction (ADR) in a third grade class A hospital,and to provide reference for rational drug use in clinic. METHODS:A total of 813 cases of ADR reported to Na-tional ADR Monitoring by the hospital during 2013-2015 were summarized and analyzed retrospectively in terms of age,gender,route of administration,drug type,organs or systems involved in ADR,clinical manifestation and outcome. RESULTS:Among 813 cases of ADR,there were 391 male (48.09%) and 422 female (51.91%). Patients aged more than 60 were with high inci-dence of ADR,involving 347 cases(42.68%). Among routes of administration,most ADR cases were caused by intravenous ad-ministration,involving 747 cases (91.88%). Among all drug types,the number of ADR cases caused by anti-infective drugs was the most,involving 382 cases(46.99%);cephalosporins took up the highest proportion,being 38.22%(146 cases). Organs or sys-tems involved in ADR were mainly skin and its appendants,involving 434 cases (53.38%). CONCLUSIONS:ADR monitoring should be strengthened for elderly patients receiving anti-infective drugs intravenously so as to reduce the occurrence of ADR and guarantee medication safety.

Objective To explore inhibitory effects of ginsenoside on the proliferation of human thyroid canc-er SW579 cells in vitro and expression of C -myc and Bcl -2 protein.Methods Human thyroid cancer SW579 cells were cultured according to conventional method.The study was divided into the control group and ginsenoside group (20,40,8ug/mL).Inhibitory role of ginsenoside on proliferation of SW579 cells was detected by MTT assay.Western-blot method was used to determine expression levels of C -myc and Bcl -2 protein in different group.Results The inhibition rates of 20,40,80μg/mL ginsenoside to SW579 thyroid carcinoma cell were 22.35%,51.76% and 68.24% respectively.Which meaned ginsenoside had obvious inhibitory effect compared with the control group(P <0.01),and inhibition increased with the increase of solubility(P <0.01).C -myc and Bcl -2 protein were reduced progressively in place with the increase of ginsenoside concentration by Western -Blot analysis (P <0.01 ).Conclusion Gisenoside may play the inhibitory role on proliferation of human thyroid cancer SW579 cells in vitro, and its mechanism may be related with down -regulation of C -myc and Bcl -2 protein.
