4.Treatment strategy of fracture or dislocation of atlantoaxial articulation in children
Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(10):-
The atlantoaxial articulation fracture or dislocation in children is one kind of common damage disease on upper cervical vertebra.Because the children are still in the stage of development, the atlantoaxial articulation ligamentum capsulare and the ligament are relax,so they are easy to be dislocated by external forces or be spontaneous dislocated caused by pathology reasons. The upper cervical vertebra damages on the children are quite different from that on the adults both in anatomical view and in biological term, therefore, the treatment are different from adults either. The treatments can be divided into the conservative ones and the surgery ones, the surgery treatment can also be divided into the posterior atlantoaxial fixed fusion technology, the occipitocervical fixed fusion technology and the odontid screw pexia. No matter using the conservative treatments or the surgical operation treatments, the root cure for the atlantoaxial articulation fracture or dislocation is to re-construct the stability of the articulation. The key point of freatment selection is to grasp the indications of each method.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2012;16(2):303-306
BACKGROUND: Patellar tendinopathy is tiny damage at tendon insertion. Changes in the strength balance between vastus medialis and vastus lateralis in the quadriceps may lead to patellar abnormal motion, even an impact to the tendon insertion. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the mechanism and influence of patellar tendinopathy on the knee joint and surrounding muscles motion. METHODS: Ten male athletes with patellar tendinopathy and ten male athletes with matched sports item, body height and age were selected, and the knee-joint strength and surface electromyography were tested using CON-TREX Isokinetic Measurement System. The change of knee-joint flexor peak torque, extensor peak torque and surface electromyography of the quadriceps were compared with and analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Result showed during isometric exercise, extensor peak torque of the patellar tendinopathy group was significantly lower than the control group, and ratio of flexor peak torque to extensor peak torque was significantly higher than the control group; during isokinetic exercise, extensor peak torque of the patellar tendinopathy group was significant smaller than that of the control group, and notably changed with the increasing motion angular velocity; during isometric exercise and isokinetic exercise, the ratios of vastus medialis/vastus lateralis of the patellar tendinopathy group were lower than that of the control group. There were significant differences between knee-joint flexor and extensor of patellar tendinopathy athlete. The activity of vastus lateralis is low and vastus medialis and vastus lateralis are not in balance.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective:To investigate the root length, number and the transverse shape of first maxillary molars using root sectioning technique. Methods:100 isolated first permanent maxillary molars from above 20 years old patients were collected. The roots were cross-sectioned in three parts(superior 1/3,middle 1/3 and apex 1/3) after measuring the length of roots. The transverse shape of root canals were observed under the stereomicroscope. The number and shape of root in three parts of roots were recorded. Results:The length of lingual root,MB and DB of the first maxillary molar is (13.82?1.51) mm;(13.06?1.12) mm and (11.64?0.85) mm respectively; complex degree of MB and DB of the first marxillar molar is very high. 51% double roots in superior 1/3 of MB were found. Above 50% dual roots in the middle 1/3and apex 1/3 in the mesiobuccal root of first maxillar molar were recorded. Conclusion:Root number and transverse configuration in MB and DB of first maxillary molar varied in different parts of roots; There may be double root canals in medium 1/3 and apex 1/3 in MB of first maxillary molar when one line type canal in superior 1/3 was found.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2011;30(1):34-37
ObjectiveTo observe the effects of lung resection surgery on left heart hemodynamics in elderly patients, and explore its correlation with postoperative arrhythmia. Methods The 16 elderly patients (age≥75 years) receiving lung resection surgery were selected. At the same time, 21 patients (age<60 years) were selected as controls. The hemodynamic parameters of each patient were recorded at the time of preoperative (T1), surgery completion (T2) and first day after surgery (T3). For patients with arrhythmia during three days after operation, the parameters would be recorded before and after arrhythmia. Results There were no significant changes in heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), cardiac output (CO), cardiac stroke volume ( SV),acceleration index (ACI), systemic vascular resistance (SVR) at T2 and T3 compared with T1 for both the two groups (P>0. 05). Only the central venous pressure (CVP) increased at T2 compared with that at T1 [elderly group: (7.58±0.45) cm H2O vs. (5.92±0. 51) cm H2O, t=2.641, P<0.01; control group: (7.49±0.34) cm H2O vs. (6.23±0.47) cm H2O, t=1.982, P<0.05], while the CVP recovered to the preoperative level at T3. The incidence of arrhythmia was significantly higher in elderly group than in control group (31.3% vs. 14.3%, x2 = 4.26, P<0.05), but there were no significant changes in the parameters before and after arrhythmia compared with those before surgery (P > 0. 05 ).Conclusions The effects of pulmonary resection surgery on left heart hemodynamics in elderly patients can be avoided through full assessment preoperatively, heart-lung protection intraoperatively, as well as the correctly and timely clinical treatment and intensive care postoperatively. Pulmonary resection surgery has no effect on left heart hemodynamics even for patients with postoperative arrhythmia.
