OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for promoting clinical rational use of Aidi injection. METHODS:Some inpa-tient records that used Aidi injection in our hospital from Jan. to Jun. 2015 were randomly selected and statistically reviewed by us-ing Excel(2011 edition) in aspects of gender, age, tumor location, usage and dosage, solvents usage, treatment course, adverse reactions, etc. RESULTS:In the 125 patients who used Aidi injection, male was more than female, with average age of 58.4 years;the tumor location of 66 patients (52.80%) was consistent with the indications in instructions;treatment course of 30 pa-tients(24.00%)was consistent with the instructions;all solvent types were consistent with the instruction recommendation, while only 6 patients(4.80%)showed consistence in solvent usage and instructions;122 patients(97.60%)showed consistence in single dosage and instructions;7 patients had adverse reactions, mainly rash and gastrointestinal reactions. CONCLUSIONS:The use of Aidi injection in our hospital shows off-label drug use,non-standardized treatment course and inappropriate solvent usage. Physi-cians,clinical pharmacists and relevant departments should further strengthen the rational use, medical advice comments,supervi-sion and management of Aidi injection in the hospital to promote the rational drug use.

AIM: To explore the influence of Huqi San on the Hedgehog signaling pathway in rats with prehe-patocarcinoma.METHODS: The model of prehepatocarcinoma in the rats was established by a modified solt-farber method. The rats were intragastric administrated with Huqi San solution for 3 d after subtotal hepatectomy.Four weeks after administration of the Huqi San solution, the hepatic damage was observed by histopathological analysis. The protein expression of glutathione S-transferase-π (GST-π), alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), OV6, albumin (ALB) and glioma-associated oncogene homolog 2 (Gli2) was detected by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining. The expression of Sonic hedgehog (Shh), Smoothened (Smo), Gli2, cyclin D and cyclin E at mRNA and protein levels in the rats was determined by RT-qPCR and Western blot, respectively. The serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT) were assayed using diagnostic kits.RESULTS: Compared with model group, Huqi San decreased the serum levels of ALT, AST and GGT, and alleviated the pathological changes in prehepatocarcinoma rats.Huqi San inhibited the protein expression of GST-π and AFP (P<0.05) in the prehepatocarcinoma rats.Huqi San also promoted the protein expression of OV6 and ALB (P<0.05).Furthermore, Huqi San activated Hedgehog signaling pathway and its downstream targeting molecules such as Shh, Smo, Gli2, cyclin D and cyclin E.In addition, the results in vitro showed that Huqi San may activate Hedgehog signaling pathway and promoted oval cell proliferation.CONCLUSION: Huqi San not only promotes hepatic progenitor cell proliferation, but also induces hepatic progenitor cell differentiation and inhibits prehepatocarcinoma in the rats probably via activating Hedgehog signaling pathway.

Objective To study the correlation between the level of CaMKIV and essential hypertension (EH) in Shihezi community. Methods One hundred and forty-six patients with EH and 142 with normal blood pressure are enrolled from 15 communities in shihezi. We collected the clinical data, including blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, blood lipids. The serum level of CaMKIV was detected using an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results The serum level of CaMKIV in the EH group was significantly lower than that in the normal blood pressure group (P < 0.05). The serum CaMKIV was negatively correlated with systolic BP and diastolic BP (r = -0.304, -0.452, all P < 0.05), with more obvious correlation with patients whose diastolic blood pressure was over 100 mmHg (r = -0.571, P < 0.05). Conclusions The serum level of CaMKIV is negatively correlated with EH, which is an independent factor of EH.

Objective To investigate the correlation of cyclophilin A (CyPA) level in patients with essential hyperten?sion(EH)in Xinjiang Xibo and Mongolia populations and to investigate its clinical significance. Methods EH patients (n=76) and healthy control subjects (n=62) were selected from Xinjiang Xibo populations. On the other hand, EH patients (n=66)and healthy control subjects (n=57) were selected from Xinjiang Mongolia populations. Serum cyclophilin A was measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Parameters such as age, body mass index(BMI), waist, waist hip ratio, blood pressure were measured in each group. The correlation of cyclophilin A with each parameter was analyzed. Results The levels of serum cyclophilin A in EH patients in Xinjiang Xibo and Xinjiang Mongolia populations were significantly high?er than those in their corresponding healthy control groups(P<0.05). Serum cyclophilin A in patients with essential hyperten?sion(EH)in Xinjiang Mongolia population was signifantly higher than that in EH patients from Xinjiang Xibo population (P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between serum cyclophilin A level and occurance of EH in both Xinjiang Xibo and Xinjiang Mongolia populations. Conclusion The serum cyclophilin A is significant higher in EH patients in both Xinji?ang Xibo and Xinjiang Mongolia populations so it is positively correlated with occurance of EH (P<0.05). Cyclophilin A lev?el is a risk factor of essential hypertension in both Xinjiang Xibo and Xinjiang Mongolia populations.

Purpose:
This study was to investigate the work experience of newly recruited male nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods:
With a phenomenological approach, this qualitative study was adopted semistructured interviews by phone or video calls. A total of 9 male nurses newly recruited for the COVID-19 wards in Chinese hospitals were interviewed for this study. And Colaizzi's method was applied for evaluation in the data analysis.
Results:
Based on our findings, three themes were extracted. First, the newly recruited male nurses showed negative emotions at the beginning of COVID-19 epidemic, which was caused by changes in working conditions and content, but also prompted the nurses to change the way of coping with the crisis. Second, they gradually mastered the working skills and psychological training to cope with COVID-19 and developed a positive attitude toward life and a high sense of professional responsibility. Finally, we learned about their needs to respond to public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
Conclusion
COVID-19 is a disaster for all of humanity. The newly recruited male nurses are an important force in emergency rescue. Although they suffered from short-term negative emotions, they quickly adapted to the crisis. In order to better prepare for future emergencies, the disaster response capacity of newly recruited male nurses needs to be further improved. In addition, newly recruited male nurses have a strong demand for timely and personalized career development guidance.

Objective:To summarize our experience in prevention of COVID-19 infection in emergency and confined operations during the first 3 weeks after Spring Festival in 2020.Methods:From February 3rd to 23rd, 2020, 151 patients were admitted to Department of Orthopaedic Trauma, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital for emergency and confined operations. In this cohort, 125 patients were admitted to ordinary wards. They were 70 males and 55 females with an age of 51.1 years ± 14.9 years. Of them, 2 were subjected to emergency operation and 123 to confined operation. The mean time from injury to operation was 9.9 days ± 6.1 days. There were 26 cases in the senile wards, 7 males and 19 females with an age of 80.8 years ± 7.0 years all of whom underwent confined operations. The mean time from injury to operation was 8.4 days ± 6.3 days. The protocols for emergency diagnosis, admission, emergency and confined operations, postoperative rehabilitation and management of suspects with COVID-19 during the epidemic of COVID-19 were optimized according to Diagnosis and Treatment Protocols for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Trial version 5), emergency responding pre-plans of our hospital, and our experience in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) as well. Results:The patients in the ordinary wards had a hospital stay of 6.8 days ± 4.6 days while those in the senile wards 5.1 days ± 2.0 days. Abnormal temperature (≥37.3 ℃) was observed perioperatively in 17 cases in the ordinary wards. It was absorption fever in all and appeared in 4 cases upon admission. Fever appeared in 11 patients in the senile wards and upon admission in 3 of them. One senile patient who had been diagnosed of normal pneumonia returned to normal temperature and remained stable conditions after antibiotic therapy. The other patients were free of complications related to COVID-19 during their hospital stay. Conclusion:The first-line medical staff working at emergency department, wards and surgical theaters must heighten their vigilance against COVID-19 infection and rigorously follow protocols for prevention of COVID-19 infection in their daily clinical practice.
