1.A study on the mRNA expression of the glucose transporter gene in the diabetic rats
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 1993;0(00):-
The study was proceeded on the mRNA expression of the GULT1 and GLUT4 gene in the alloxan diabetic rats by the technique of dot-blot hybridization analysis. The results showed that the levels of the GLUT4 mRNA expression were reduced in diabetic rats while increased in insulin treated diabetic rats. This suggests that the reduced GLUT4 mRNA expression which could affect the quantity of its posttranslational products may be one of the causes of the insulin resistance.

3.Brief instruction of the prevention of endemic fluorosis
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2006;10(44):222-225
OBJECTIVE: To summarize the data about endemic fluorosis, and investigate its prevalence and the effects of prevention and cure, so as to suggest more effective measures for the prevention and cure in the future. DATA SOURCES: A computer-based online search of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and VIP Chinese database was undertaken to identify articles about the distribution, monitoring and effects of prevention and cure of endemic fluorosis published in Chinese from January 1995 to March 2006 by using the keywords of "endemic fluorosis, monitor". STUDY SELECTION: Literatures about endemic fluorosis, including mainly brief introduction, practice in prevention and cure, summary of meeting, etc., the repetitive studies were excluded, and only one of them published the latest was involved. DATA EXTRACTION: Totally 25 relevant literatures were collected, and 18 of them were involved, the others were excluded. DATA SYNTHESIS: The monitoring results showed that until the end of the 2004, 44.51% of the villages, in the drinking water type disease areas with endemic fluorosis, had executed the low-fluorine treatment of water, and 194 villages had been controlled basically; In the coal pollution type disease areas, 24 villages had been controlled basically,25.42% of the families had reformed the stoves to prevent the coal pollution. The fluorine in water and air had been obviously declined after the improvement, some place had reached the standard of government. The morbidity rate of dental fluorosis in children of 8 to 12 years old was lower than before; The improving condition was good in most disease areas, and part of them had reached the control line; Meanwhile, the problems also existed that the measures of prevention could not befulfilled completely for the short of money, and the role of decreasing fluorine could not be acted completely because of the ill-management after the changed project.CONCLUSION: After the continuous efforts for tens of years, great progress has been obtained in the prevention and cure of endemic fluorosis, and the prevalence rates of dental fluorosis and skeletal fluorosis have reduced obviously, but many problems also exist at the same time. Therefore, the prevention and cure should be reinforced to restrain its prevalence more effectively.
4.An Attempt to Breed Medicinal Animals Together Under Same Ecological Condition with Constant Temperature
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2000;31(9):703-704
The feasibility to breed gecko, scorpion, centipede, leech and ground beetle together in abreeding shed of our own design with constant temperature was tried for a period of 2 years. Resultsshowed that the animals lead their normal dietetic and living habit satisfactorily, without hibernation andreproduce their offsprings the whole year round. It could be concluded that such breeding scheme is worth-while to advocate for the benefit of those who are engaged in the business of medicinal animal breeding.
5.Clinical analysis of ketogenic diet for 25 children with infantile spasms
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2015;30(7):532-534
Objective To assess the efficacy, compliance and safety of ketogenic diet (KD) for children with infantile spasms, thus to provide an effective basis for the treatment of infantile spasms. Methods Twenty-five patients with infantile spasms were treated with KD.The gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) were used, except for metabolic diseases,to detect the blood routine, urine, stool, blood Iipids, liver function,as well as electrocardiogram (ECG),electroencephalograph (EEG),ultrasound of the urinary system and other related checks of all patients. The KD antiepileptic drug therapy was given after all children were admitted to hospital, and KD started directly in all patients without fasting. The efficacy compliance and safety were followed up in this study. Results KD maintenance therapy for 1 month,3 mouths,6 months were given to 25 cases (100%,25/25 cases),to 22 cases (88%,22/25 cases),and to 10 cases (40%,10/25 cases),respectively.Among them 7 patients (28%,7/25 cases) were in complete control of seizures within 1 month.Up to Class Ⅱ,Ⅲ efficacy level accounted for 32% (8/25 cases),12% (3/25 cases),respectively.Thirteen cases of children had varying digestive symptoms,10 cases of them developed asymptomatic hypoglycemia, and 9 cases of children had sleep trouble during KD treatment, but after symptomatic treatment, children's adverse reactions almost subsided.Only 4 cases of children discontinued treatment due to adverse reactions. All children's seizures were fully controlled. Conclusions The effect of KD is sure in the treatment of infantile spasms.Although KD has some adverse reactions, but it can be tolerated;serious body organ dysfunction treated by KD + antiepileptic drugs combination therapy for 1 to 6 months is not found yet,so the therapy is worthy of promotion clinically.
6.New mission of medical science education: Promotion of translational medicine
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2010;23(4):225-228,264
In recent years, basic medical researches and their cost have been developing rapidly, however, the development of clinical researches is very slow. In fact, only a few basic researches can be translated to clinical application, and the promoting role of basic research for clinical practice is very limited. This produces a wide gap between basic research and clinical research, which seriously hindered the progress of medical science and the advancement of public health. Translational medicine came into being under this condition, and is now being understood and utilized by scholars worldwide. This paper summarizes some features and new advances of translational medicine. Meanwhile, the authors put forward suggestions to strength translational medicine in China according to the status quo of health care reform and the medical research and education in Chinese hospitals, which could help to relieve the dissatisfaction among the government, the society and the public toward the mismatch of basic medical research and clinical research, and to promote harmonious development of medical science.
7.Progress in the migration of vascular endothelial cells and related factors
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;0(06):-
The migration of vascular endothelial cells plays an important role in the vascular growth, repair of wounds, and repair of vascular endothelial cells. At the same time, the migration of endothelial cells plays an important role in the progress of vascular diseases, especially atherosclerosis. Thus, the characteristics of endothelial cell migration and related factors are very important for us to understand the role of endothelial cells in the progress of physiology and pathology. In this article, the factors of promotion and inhibition, and blood flow, cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix are recommended in details. Furthermore, at the end of the article, we discuss the close relationship between endothelial cells and repair of vascular endothelial cells, even new vascular growth in the plaques of atherosclerosis.
