1.Clinical Observation on Treatment of 62 Cases of Diabetic Nephropathy with Shenqidihuang Decoction

Objective To observe clinical effect of treating diabetic nephropathy by syndrome differentiation of TCM. Methods 62 patients with diabetic nephropathy were randomly recurited into a control group and a treatment group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the treatment group was treated by syndrome differentiation of TCM. The clinical effect was observed in both groups after the treatment. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 90.3% and 74.2% respectively, showing the clinical effect in the treatment group being significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment by syndrome differentiation of TCM on diabetic nephropathy is better than routine western medicine.
2.Analysis of the Effect of Approaching Healthy Promotion for Hypertension in Rural Area in Chongqing

Objective To explore methods for hypertension intervention healthy promotion, improve villagers 'healthy consciousness and facilitate their behavior change in country. Methods Adopted "point to lead side and point combine with side" to develop community diagnosis and mobilization, establish system for measuring blood, organize villagers abstain from tobacco and supervise those who with hypertension in experimental village. Use self comparison to evaluate intervention effects. Results Understanding rate(full understanding means knowing all parts of the project ) about the clinical manifestation and harmful influence of hypertension have increased from 2.0% to 10.4% and 0.2% to 8.7% respectively just after intervening, but preventive knowledge level hasn't improved obviously between 2003(before intervening) and 2006(after intervening).Before 2003, There were no villagers have ever measured their blood pressure on their own, and the rate of medical workers who have measured blood pressure for patients on their own was 28.5%. But after 2006, the rate of villagers who know ought to measure blood pressure periodical was 97.6%, and among them, 83.0% have measured their blood pressure on their own. Medical workers who have measured blood pressure for patients increase to 80%~90%. Through medical institution launching a program named " measuring blood pressure for above 35 years free charge", 137 822 hypertensive were found in 3 years in 6 item country 256 health institutions of township and village levels. 3.Hearing Loss in Deaf Children Caused by Using Hearing Aids

A retest of 30 deaf children(58 ears) being trained in our centre who used hearing aids for at least half a year showed that two children(2 ears) suffered from hearing loss. To inquire into the cause of hearing loss, we analysed the frequency,range,gain,SSPL 90. volume control of the hearing aids worn by the children as well as the auditory training habits if the deaf children's parents and teachers,compared the children's hearing before and after using the hearing aids and pointed out the possible reasons that caused the children's hearing loss. Here.We sum up the aspects that should be paid attention to when testing and selecting hearing aids for deaf children.
4.Effect of Ceftriaxone on glutamate-induced cerebral cortical neurocyte injury

Objective To study the effect of Ceftriaxone on glutamate-induced neurocyte injury. Methods Cultured rat cerebral cortical neurocytes were divided into Ceftriaxone (A)group, glutamate(B) group ,Ceftriaxone-pretreated (C) group and control (D) group. Laser scanning confocal microscope was used to measure the change of Ca2+ in rest state and after brief glutamate-induced Ca2+ loading. 5.Clinical observation on the treatment of 51 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with Shuxuetong Injection combined herbal oral administration

Objective To observe clinical effect of treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy with Shuxuetong injection combined herbal oral administration. Methods A total of 51 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatment group. The control group was treated with western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with Shuxuetong injection combined with Buyang Huanwu decoction. The clinical effect was observed in both groups after the treatment. Results The total effective rate was 88.5% and 68.0% in the treatment group and the control group respectively. The clinical effect in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The effects of Shuxuetong injection combined herbal oral administration on diabetic peripheral neuropathy was better than western medicine.

Objective:To discuss the maintenance and testing method, reduce CT machine fault, ensure the quality of CT machine performance, reduce the use of CT machine cost, increase the use value of CT machine,the better service for the masses and treatment.Methods:Using regular maintenance and inspection, specific Toshiba 64 row CT machine each time the content of maintenance and testing content.Results:Regular service and maintenance are the most effective CT machine performance quality guarantee the most basic method, can avoid 30% to 50% of the machine fault, not only greatly reduce the machine hardware damage failure incidence, software programs or data error of failure rates.Conclusion: The regular maintenance and maintenance is hotly debated in recent years the core content of preventive maintenance, periodic testing is an effective guarantee quality of CT machine performance of necessary measures, called on metrology institute and the centers for disease control and coordinated with the hospital, turn the two detection time about half a year, also accord with the national strong inspection requirements so that the rationality of the quality assurance, to avoid most of the repeated testing of national resources waste.
7.Nasendoscopic Resection of the Inner Wall of Maxillary Sinus for Nasal Inverted Papilloma

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of nasendoscopic resection of the inner wall of the maxillary sinus for the treatment of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.Methods From January 2002 to December 2006,10 patients with nasal inverted papilloma received nasendoscopic resection of the inner wall of the maxillary sinus in our hospital.The clinical data of the patients were anlayzed retrospectively.Results The operation was completed in all the 10 cases.They were follwed up for 12 to 72 months with a mean of 30 months.Only one of the patients had recurrent papilloma in 1 year after the treatment.None of the patients devleoped epiphora.Conclusions Nasendoscopic resection of the inner wall of the maxillary sinus is feasible for patients with nasal inverted papilloma.By using the procedrue,facial scars can be avoided;moreover,owing to a clear surgical field,the surgeons can completely resect the tumor,and the patients have less trauma and low recurrence rate after the treatment.
8.EFFECT OF BILIRUBIN ON THE FUNCTIONAL CHANGES OF SARCOPLASMIC RETICULUM INDUCED BY ACUTE EXERCISE

Objective: To study the effect of bilirubin on the functional changes of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) induced by acute exercise. [WT5FZ]Methods:[WT5BZ] 41 Wistar male rats were divided into five groups, control group, exercise group, exercise recovery group, bilirubin treated exercise group and bilirubin treated exercise recovery group. The rats were administered with 1 ?mol/kg body weight of bilirubin or saline once every day for 4 weeks. After swimming with load for 2 h, all of the rats were killed and several indices were determined. [WT5FZ]Results:[WT5BZ] Bilirubin could inhibit the decrease of Ca 2+ content and the increase of Ca 2+ ,Mg 2+ ATPase activity in SR induced by acute exercise, and inhibit the increase of Mg 2+ content in cytoplasm. [WT5FZ]Conclusion:[WT5BZ] Bilirubin may delay the development of fatigue induced by acute exercise through protecting certain functions of SR.
9.Self-controlled study on the effect of vitamin D supplementation on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level of breast-fed infants in winter

Objective To identify the effect of oral cod liver oil on serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D [25 (OH)D] level in breast-fed infants during winter.Methods Healthy newborn infants were recruited at Children's Hospital Affiliated to Capital Institute of Pediatrics between December 2009 and February 2010 for the self-controlled study.Serum samples were obtained with 2 ml umbilical cord blood for each neonate.The neonates received vitamin D supplementation in the form of oral cod liver oil from 15 days to 4 months after birth.For each exclusively breastfed infant,2 ml fasting venous blood was collected at the end of postnatal 4 months to separate serum.Serum 25 (OH) D concentrations of the infants were determined with umbilical cord blood serum and venous blood serum.Results Altogether 43 exclusively breastfed infants were enrolled,including 26 boys and 17 girls.The mean serum 25 (OH)D concentration in umbilical cord blood was (20.9 ± 5.1) nmol/L (12.5-32.1 nmol/L).All the neonates were vitamin D deficient.The mean serum 25 (OH) D concentration in infants at 4 months was (106.3 ± 42.4) nmol/L (30.2-208.5 nmol/L).Among the infants,the serum 25 (OH) D level was < 50 nmol/L in 4 infants (the rate of vitamin D deficiency being 9.3%),50-75 nmol/L in 7,75-150 nmol/L in 25,and ≥150 nmol/L in 7.A positive correlation was detected between serum 25(OH)D level and cod liver oil dose (r =0.530,P =0.001).The average percentage of the missed doses (missed doses/prescribed doses) was 36.1%,negatively correlated with serum 25 (OH)D level (r =-0.634,P =0.001).Conclusions Vitamin D deficiency is common among infants born during winter in northern China.Daily oral intake of cod liver oil in infants can significantly increase serum 25 (OH) D level; However,the prevention of vitamin D deficiency cannot be ensured if doses are missed.
10.Preventive effect of genistein against psoralens plus ultraviolet A-induced photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts

Objective To evaluate the protective effect of genistein on psoralens plus ultraviolet A (PUVA)-induced photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) in vitro.Methods Dermal fibroblasts were isolated from the foreskin of a healthy 5-year-old boy,and subjected to primary culture.After 5-8 passages of subculture,the fibroblasts were collected and used in the following experiment.To determine the optimal concentration of genistein,methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay was conducted to detect the proliferation of fibroblasts pretreated with 8-methoxypsoralen (8-MOP) and various concentrations (0-20 μg/ml) of genistein for 24 hours followed by UVA irradiation.Then,the fibroblasts were divided into 3 groups:normal control group receiving no treatment,photoaging group incubated with 8-MOP for 24 hours followed by UVA irradiation,and genistein group incubated with both 8-MOP and genistein at the optimal concentration for 24 hours followed by UVA irradiation.After additional culture,invert microscopy was carried out to observe the morphology of fibroblasts,enzyme histochemistry to assess senescent cells by using SA-β-Gal kit,flow cytometry to determine the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS),real-time fluorescence-based quantitative PCR to detect the matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) expression.One-way analysis of variance was conducted to assess the differences in these parameters among these groups.Results At 24 hours after UVA irradiation,the percentage of fibroblasts positive for SA-β-galactosidase was (0.67 ± 0.58)%,(96.67 ± 1.53)% and (51.67 ± 2.08)% in the normal control group,photoaging group and genistein group respectively,with significant differences among these groups (P < 0.01).The level of ROS in the photoaging group and genistein group was (0.88 ± 0.24) and (0.62 ± 0.02) fold higher than that in the control group(both P < 0.01).Moreover,the MMP-1 expression level in the photoaging group and genistein group was 10 times and 6 times that in the control group,respectively,with significant differences among the 3 groups (P < 0.05).Conclusion In vitro,genistein can protect against PUVA-induced photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts to some extent.
