Objective To investigate the virologic responses to pegylated-interferon alfa-2a (PegIFNα-2a) plus ribavirin therapy for cryoglobulinemia positive chronic hepatitis C in patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 b.Methods Clinical data on 60 chronic hepatitis C patients with HCV genotype 1b were collected from Huzhou Central Hospital during January 2008 and December 2012.The patients were divided into cryoglobulinemia positive group (n =22) and cryoglobulinemia negative group (n =38),and both received 48-week PegIFNα-2a (180 μg) plus ribavirin treatments.For those who could not tolerate the treatment,PeglFNα-2a was reduced to 135 μg from 12th week.Rapid virologic response (RVR),end of treatment virologic response (ETVR) and sustained virologic response (SVR) in two groups were observed and compared using Chi-square test.Results RVR,ETVR and SVR in cryoglobulinemia positive group were 59.1％ (13/22),81.8％ (18/22) and 31.8％ (7/22),while those in cryoglobulinemia negative group were 55.3％ (21/38),76.3％ (29/38) and 60.5％ (23/38).There was significant difference in SVRs between two groups (x2 =4.674,P ＜ 0.05).For those completed full course of antiviral therapy with 180 μg PegIFNα-2a,the RVR and SVR in cryoglobulinemia negative group tended to be higher than those in cryoglobulinemia positive group,but the differences were not statistically significant (x2 =1.524 and 1.009,P ＞ 0.05).Serious adverse reactions were observed in 9 (40.9％) patients of cryoglobulinemia positive group,while in 11 (28.9％) patients of cryoglobulinemia negative group (x2 =0.887,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Cryoglobulinemia may not have considerable impact on virologic responses to PegIFNα-2a plus ribavirin therapy in patients with chronic genotype 1b hepatitis C.

Objective To investigate distributions and drug resistance of pathogens in cirrhotic ascites comphcated with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP). Methods Results of bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests of 117 aacitie specimens from cirrhotic patients with SBP were analyzed retrospectively. Results From the 117 ascitie specimens, 117 bacterial strains were isolated, among which 71 (60.68%)were gram-negative bacteria, 45 (38.46%) were gram-positive bacteria. The isolated strains were highly resistant to antibacterial agents, especially for Escherchia coli and Staphylococcu, the resistances to most antibiotics were above 60%. Conclusions High drug resistances were common for pathogenic bacteria in aacites of liver cirrhosis patients complicated with SBP.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of conservative treatment with laparoscopy for patients with ectopic pregnancy.Methods From January 2000 to December 2005,76 patients with ectopic pregnancy received conservative treatment by laparoscopy in our hospital.The data of the patients were analyzed retrospectively.Results In this series,fenestration of the Fallopian tube was performed on 42 cases,salpingostomy on 21,fimbrial expression on 8,and segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis on 5.Salpingography showed that the Fallopian tube was patent after the operation in all of the patients.The mean operation time was(58.5?19.4) minutes(ranged from 35 to 105).The serum level of ?-hCG decreased to a normal range in 3 weeks postoperation.Follow-up was available in 61 cases for 1 year,during which 35 of the cases(57.4%,35/61) had intrauterine pregnancy;2(3.3%) had spontaneous abortion,and 2(3.3%) showed ectopic pregnancy;the other 22(36.1%) had no pregnancy.Conclusions Conservative treatment by laparoscopy is safe and effective for ectopic pregnancy.To avoid repeated ectopic pregnancy,?-hCG monitoring after the operation is necessary.

AIM To study the hepato-protection of indole-3-carbinol (I3C), one of glucosinolate compounds in cruciferous vegetables, on ethanol-induced hepatotoxicity. METHODS Ethanol 50 mmol?L -1 was used to induce hepatotoxicity in precision liver-cut slices of rats. The release of glutamic pyruvic transaminase(GTP), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) into culture medium, and aniline hydroxylase (ANH) and alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) in cytosol of hepatocytes in the precision liver-cut were measured with different doses of I3C. The histopathological observation of liver slices was also done to evaluate the effect of I3C. RESULTS The release of GTP, GOT, GST and LDH in the medium increased significantly when the slices were treated with 50 mmol?L -1 ethanol for 4 h. I3C at concentrations of 100～400 ?mol?L -1 effectively reduced the release of GTP, GOT, GST and LDH in the medium of ethanol-treated slices. Meanwhile, the activities of cytosol ANH and ADH decreased to the normal levels. The histopathological changes of liver slices induced by ethanol were lessened by I3C treatment. CONCLUSION I3C can markedly protect rat liver slices from ethanol-induced hepatotoxicity, which partly results from the change of ethanol metabolism in liver.

Objective To observe and analyze the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer tumor markers and lymphocyte subsets of different pathological type .Methods A total number of 40 NSCLC patients which received neoadjuvant chemotherapy and 20 normal people were selected in our study .To compare the differences of CEA ,CA-125 , CYFRA21-1 and lymphocyte subset in NSCLC pantients with adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma and the the differences of CEA ,CA-125 ,CYFRA21-1 and lymphocyte subset in patients with different clinical effect .Results (1) The CEA ,CA-125 ,CY-FRA21-1 in pantients with adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma were both higher than normal people .The CEA level in pa-tients with adenocarcinoma was higher than squamous cell carcinoma ,while the CA-125 and CYFRA21-1 in squamous cell carcino-ma were higher than adenocarcinoma .The CD3+ ,CD4+ ,CD8+ ,CD4+ /CD8+ in pantients with adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma both had obvious differences with normal people .But there were no obvious differences between patients with adenocarci-noma and squamous cell carcinoma .(2)There were 18 cases of CR+ PR while 22 cases of SD+ PD .The CA-125 and CYFRA21-1 were decreased in patients of squamous cell carcinoma with clinical effective while the CEA and CYFRA 21-1 were decreased in ade-nocarcinoma with clinical effective .The CD3+ ,CD4+ ,CD4+ /CD8+ increased and CD8+ decreased in patients of squamous cell car-cinoma or adenocarcinoma with clinical effective .Conclusion The tumor marker and lymphocyte subsets values had obvious differ-ences in adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma .Both tumor marker and lymphocyte subsets were useful in diagnosis .

Objective To study the changes in the expression of GABA and its receptors in the dorsal horn of rat spinal cord induced by hind paw formalin injection. Methods Twelve healthy male SD rats weighing 300-325 g were randomly divided into two groups: (A) control group (n=6) and (B) peripheral inflammatory hyperalgesia group in which 5% formalin 50?l was injected subcutaneously into the plantar region of right hind paw to produce persistent pain(n=6). The animals were killed 24h after formalin injection. L_(4-6) segment of the spinal cord was removed. The number of GABA immuno-reactive cells was examined by immuno-cytochemistry technique and the exprpession of GABA_(A?3) and GABA_(B1) receptor mRNA in the spinal dorsal horn were determined by in situ hybridization. Results In control group(A), GABA immuno-reactive cells and GABA_(A?3) and GABA_(B1) receptor mRNA were observed throughout the lumbar spinal dorsal horn. The density of GABA immuno-reactive cells and GABA_(B1) receptor mRNA was highest in the superficial laminae Ⅰ-Ⅲ; while the GABA_(A?3) receptor mRNA was evenly distributed in the spinal dorsal horn. In group B, 24h after formalin injection there was a significant increase in the GABA immuno-reactive cells in the ipsilateral spinal dorsal horn. The expression of GABA_(A?3) and GABA_(B1) receptor mRNA were significantly increased in bilateral dorsal horn compared to group A. The three parameters were positively correlated and their locations in the spinal dorsal horn were not significantly different from those in group A. Conchusion GABA and its receptors may play an important role in nociceptive modulation.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can form a three-dimensional positioning anatomical imaging.By comparing the tumor volume and signal intensity changes,there is great value of MRI in the assessment of the efficacy of cervical cancer.With the development of imaging,magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging (DWI),magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) can provide qualitative and quantitative information of the cellular level,which reflects changes in the treatment of tumor cells.Magnetic resonance imaging can predict early locally advanced cervical cancer neoadjuvant chemotherapy,thus providing an important basis for individualized treatment of patients.
