The leiomyoma of the vagina is relatively rare benign solid tumor, and majority of them were not recognized until after operation. Variable opinion exists as to the exact origin of this lesion. The most frequent location is the anterior vaginal wall. Recently we experienced a case of vaginal leiomyoma arising in the anterior vaginal wall and now we present it with a brief review of the literatures.

Primary malignant melanoma of the vagina is an exceedingly rare entity, accounting for about 3% of all primary vagina1 malignant tumors and 0.3% of all melanoma. The overall 5-year survival in patients with primary vaginal melanoma is notoriously poor, estimated to be between 13% and 19%. A case of primary malignant melanoma of the vagina treated with the wide local excision of vagina and rectum was presented with a brief review of literature.

Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) arising from the vagina is a very rare benign stromal tumor, which has a well-demarcated margin and proliferation of spindle cells with the absence of any atypical features. Immunohistochemically, the cells are strongly positive for CD34. Surgical resection of the tumor is recommended as a definite treatment. Clinical courses of SFT are almost benign but long-term follow-up of SFT of the vagina have not been reported yet. We have experienced a case of solitary fibrous tumor arising from the vagina and report this case with a brief of literature.

10.Relation of the vaginal fluid secretion syndrome and some risk factors in women with ages of 15 and older in the 2 mountain communes, Babe district, Bac can province
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):16-19
A cross sectional study on the relation of vaginal fluid secretion syndrome with some risk factors in 340 married women with ages of 15 and older has shown that the rate of vaginal fluid secretion syndrome (VFSS) was 50.6%. There was a relation of VFSS and age when getting married, rounds of pregnancy (3 and above), abortion history, use of unhygienic water and knowledge of women. There was no relation of VFSS with ages, contraceptive method and hygience habit
