Urethral duplication is a rare congenital anomaly that can present in various clinical forms according to the plane and extent of duplication. Although some are associated with abnormalities of the external genitalia, others present as mild condition which is incidentally found. Nine cases of complete and incomplete types of urethral duplication have been reported in the Korean literature. We report the clinical presentation and management of four cases of various types of urethral duplication in boys

2.Primarily results of treatment of the blood aggregation due to cerebrovascullar accident (hypertension and vascular deformity) by perforation and suck the aggregated blood
Journal of Practical Medicine 2001;393(1):19-22
A study on 65 patients with the blood aggregation in brain due to the cerebrovascular accident operated in Saint-Paul hospital during 1999-10/2000 (male: 48, female: 17, youngest: 17, eldest: 74) has shown that the cause of disease: hypertension (65%), the position of blood aggregation: temporal area: 37; frontal area: 15; occipital area: 10; behind hollow: 2 ventricle of cerebrum: 1; the blood aggregation focus runs in to the ventricle of cerebrum: 21/65. There is no different between the right and left of hemisphere, 33,84% patients were indicated the emergency operation and 56,92% patients operated after accident 5 -15 days.

3.Results of the treatment of posterior urethral valve by endoscopic resection
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2002;1():32-35
The aim of the study is to investigate clinical and laboratory findings of posterior urethral valve, and to evaluate the result of management by endoscopic resection. During 3 years (1998-2000), 28 children were treated in National Institute of Pediatrics. The main clinical findings were dysuria and urinary pseudo incontinence. Voiding cystography was a tool for confirming the diagnosis. The endoscopic resection was a method of choice in the treatment.

4.Treatment of hypospadias by transfer of the longitudinal pedicular munocutaneous flap of the penide dorsal side
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):109-112
From December 1995 to June 2000, 182 patients suffering from hypospadias were operated by using a longitudinal pedicular munocutaneous flap of the penile dorsal side including 68 patients with only procedure. Of 182 patients, 161 patients were penile form, 20 children were scrotal form and 1 child was perineal form. Postoperative complications included urethral fistular in 15 patients (8.2%), urethral stenosis in 2 patients (1.6%), glandular dehiscence in 4 patients (2.2%), and meatal stenosis in 5 children (2.7%). The results in this study showed that the method has a very good result with a very low incidence of postoperative urethral fistular.

5.Contribution to a study on the failed causes of laparoscopic urethral lithotripsy
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):54-55
Analyzing the common causes of fail in 19 patients receiving the laparoscopic urethral of lithotripsy has shown that: (1) Aged: The failure of lithotripsy occurred at any age. The ratio of female: male was 2:1; (2) Fail causes: among 19 cases of fail, there were 15 cases (73.7%) without placing double J sond and residing at ureter from 3-7 days before lithotripsis procedure. Out of the total of 19 cases, 4 cases had meat ureterostenosis. There were 4 cases with big and hard stones. Water used fort lithotripsy was 5-8 litters, prolonged procedure from 60-120 minutes was 68.5%.

6.Primarily results of urethral stone by urethroscopy
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):34-38
Urethroscopy was attempted in 50 patients with stone at the distal uretera. There were 10 men and 30 women, from 30 to 60 years old. 26 stones were in the right side and 24 stones in the left side per both sexes. Results: success rate: 62%, failed urethroscopy: 38%, due to ureteral stenosis, moving stones, undetectable ureteral meatus, too hard stones. Failure rate is still high, because we lack of experiences. Nevertheless, this success also encourages us because urethroscopy is a promising & safe procedure for ureteral stones, otherwise the complications might be higher if open surgery, was the first line treatment.

7.Treatment of urethral stenosid due to urogenital tuberculosis
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):205-212
During 5 years from January 1995 to December 1999, in the Department of Urology of B×nh D©n hospital, we have treated 193 cases of urogenital tuberculosis coming from South Vietnam in which there were 86 cases (44.55%) with complication of ureteral stenosis in many different forms and degrees. The most common stenotic lesions were pelvic and juxtavesical stenosis (61.62%), the mid-ureteral stenosis and uretero - pelvic stenosis were rare (8.13% and 1.16%, respectively), or segmental stenosis (20.93%). In 86 cases of ureteral stenosis, there were 13 cases (15.115) with concomitant deterioration of the ipsilateral kidney. Treatment for this specific complication of the disease usually faces many difficulties, because of many internal and external causes.

8.Treatment of anterior urethral rupture and stenosis at Cho Ray Hospital during 2 years (1996-1997)
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):42-43
Urethral rupture and stenosis make difficulties in daily activities and reduces the patient’s quality of life. Several treatments for these conditions are available. The study reviewed 65 cases with urethral rupture and stenosis that were treated at the Department of Urology, Cho Ray Hospital during 2 yeas from 1996 to 1997. Results: The end-end urethral anastomosis produced the high rate of success. The Leveuf’s approach is favorable for cases with penial urethral stenosis. The Moseur’s procedure provided limit result. For subtotal urethral rupture, the periodical follow-up played an important role

9.Clinical and subclinical features and surgical treatment of urethral stone in Ha Tay hospital
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2001;11(4):7-11
41 patients with the urethral stone received opertions to treat the urethral stone in Ha Tay hospital during 1996-1998. The results have shown that simple removal of stone (28), kidney removal (7), renal drainage (3), stone missing (1) and stone removal and drainage (3). It should early detect and select the suitable treatment in order to reduce the complication of urethral stone and accident
