Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(09):-
By analyzing the crisis of survival in 2 hospitals, the authors argue that reform of the hospital property right system may be a way out. However, in the process of the reform, hospitals may face some problems. One problem is how to ensure the steady transition and sustained development of a hospital if the whole of it is sold out to an enterprise run by the local people. Another problem is how to safeguard the status, salary and welfare of the staff. To ensure the success of the reform, the following measures need to be taken: ①strengthening leadership, seeking unity of thinking, and clarifying the guiding ideology; ②formulating rigorous and detailed plans so as to guarantee a steady transition; ③making proper arrangements for the placement of the staff after the change of the property right system so as to ensure the ideological stability of the staff.

Investigate the cleaning ability of manual ProTaper on mandibular second molars with C-shaped (c-shaped root) or normal root canal(separated root). Twenty mandibular second molars with C-shaped root or with separated roots were sectioned at 3.0, 5.5 and 8.0 mm from the root apex. The images of pre-preparation and F1, F2, and F3-prepapared of manual ProTaper were captured respectively. The cross-sectional areas of the canals were measured and the formula of area after treatment/area before treatment was used to calculate the area ratio. The data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0. The results showed that there was no statistically difference between cross-section root canal area ratios in two groups. Significant differences were found between the cross-section canal area ratio of F1 and F2, F1 and F3 at section 5 mm of S group, and F1 and F3 at section 3 mm of C group. The results suggested that the increasing of cross-section ratio of the two kinds of canals was not obviously concerned with their anatomical morphology.

By introducing the PBL teaching model into the probation curriculum of endodon-tics,the authors explored the curricular arrangment and the construction of teaching materials. The monitoring of teaching quality and revision of teaching syllabus were also analyzed. To induce the model profoundly, the authors considered some problems raised during the teaching procedure should be resolved.

BACKGROUND:
The goal of this study was to create a biomaterial which combines concentrated growth factor (CGF) with an adipose-derived stem cell (ADSC) sheet to promote the repair of skull defects in rats.
METHODS:
We determined the optimal concentration of CGF extract by investigating the effects of different concentrations (0, 5%, 10%, and 20%) on the proliferation and differentiation of ADSCs. Then we created a complex combining CGF with an ADSC sheet, and tested the effects on bone repair in four experimental rat groups: (A) control; (B) ADSC sheet; (C) CGF particles; (D) combination of CGF ? ADSCs. Eight weeks after the procedure, osteogenesis was assessed by micro-CT and hematoxylin and eosin staining.
RESULTS:
We found that the concentration of CGF extract that promoted optimal ADSC proliferation and differentiation in vitro was 20%. In turn, bone regeneration was promoted the most by the combination of CGF and ADSCs.
CONCLUSION
In this study, we determined the optimal ratio of CGF and ADSCs to be used in a biomaterial for bone regeneration. The resulting CGF/ADSCs complex promotes maxillofacial bone defect repair in rats.

Objective To investigate the effect and mechanism of emodin on cell proliferation in OSCC.Methods CAL-27 cells and SCC-15 cells were intervened with different concentrations of emodin, and the proliferative activity of the cells was detected by CCK-8 method, and the appropriate concentration was screened for follow-up experiments. The colony formation experiment helped de-tect the colony formation ability. The expressions of PCNA,Beclin1 and LC3 were detected using Western blot. After treating the cells with rapamycin and emodin, the cell proliferation activity and the colony formation ability were examined.PCNA,Beclin1 and LC3 ex-pressions were detected. The tumor formation experiment helped detect the effect of emodin on tumor weight and volume in nude mice. The liver and kidney structure in nude mice was observed using HE staining. Moreover, the PCNA and Beclin1 protein expression was detected by IHC.Results Emodin could significantly decrease the proliferative activity and aggregation ability of CAL-27 cells in a concentration-dependent manner.Emodin could down-regulate the PCNA,Beclin1,and LC3 Ⅱ/LC3 Ⅰ expression levels.RAPA could reverse the inhibitory effect of emodin on cell proliferation.Emodin had no significant hepatorenal toxicity and could reduce the volume and mass of the tumor and down-regulate the expression of PCNA and Beclin1 protein inside the tumor. Moreover, the expression of PCNA and Beclin1 in tumor showed a certain positive correlation. Conclusion Emodin can inhibit oral squamous cell proliferation, and its effect may be associated with autophagy inhibition.
