1.Study on diminishing the microorganism infection on the drug Hepamarin by radiation with gamma Co-60
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):22-23
Study on decontamination of microorganisms on hepamarin, an herbal drug by gamma Co-60 radiation has been carried out with doses of 5 and 10kGy. the results showed that the contamination of microorganism on hepamarin drug decreased sharply from 108 (non-irradiated) to 105 and 4.102 microorganisms/g for sample irradiated at dose of 5 and 10 kGy, respectively. Post irradiation effect of decotamination of microorganisms on hepamarin was maintained during storage. The obtained data indicated that gamma Co-60 radiation is suitable for decontamination of microorganisms on hepamarin.

2.Primarily opinions of the safety of short-course chemotherapy formula of 2SRH/4RH for anti-tuberculosis
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;(11):25-28
Study on the security of the anti-tuberculosis, 40 TB patients had been treated by the short course therapy (2SRHZ/ 4RH) according to DOTS (Directly Observed Therapy Short- course) during 1998 in the hospital 74. All (100%) are cured as result, only 2 of them had been prolonged 1 months in the first phase. The value of SGOT, SGPT changed but no chronic significant. In 5 patients with liver diseases (viral hepatitis, cirrhosis), the value of these enzymes increased at the second month and decreased step-by- step to the normal. The author concluded that this is a safe short-course therapy, even in the patients with liver disease if to abide by DOTS and to combine with the liver protective drugs

The results have shown that S. pneumoniae, M. catarrhalis, H. influenzae, and S. aureus were isolated from throat and nose of these children accounted for 41.9%, 31.2%, 29.8%, and 0.8%, respectively. The sensitivity of H. influenzae to ciprofloxacin, gentamycin, ampicillin and cotrimoxazole, and chloramphenicol was 94.6%, 83%, 81.1% and 48.6%, respectively. The sensitivity of S.pneumoniae to ampicilline, penicilline and methicilline, and cefaclor was 100%, 95.8% and 92.3%, respectively.

4.Evaluation of diuretic and electrolytes excerted effects of Dia Long in experimental animals
Journal of Medical Research 2003;24(4):25-28
The experiment was conducted by Lipschitz’s method on white rats of 3 groups, each included 12 animals going without food 18 hours before starting of study. The control group administered orally 1 time only 2ml of water/100g of body mass. The 1st group Dia Long 3g/2ml/100g of body mass, the 2nd group Dia Long 4.5g/2ml/100g of body mass. Rats of all 3 groups were injected subperitoneally 5ml of 0.9% salt solution on 100g of body mass for increasing urine volume. Results showed a diuretic effect of Dia Long, lasting for 6 hours after the use. Dia Long’s excretion effects on Na, K, Cl ions through the kidney were manifested obviously in the 2nd and the fourth hours after use with all the various doses.

Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;0(13):2-7
The study was designed as perspective clinical trial, comparing before and after treatment with BSA 52 in 30 patients with drug withdrawal. BSA 52 supported the addicts to overcome the drug substinent symptoms and to recover promptly general health status. Effective time was between 2 to 3 days in average with a sucessful rate of 93.33% of all studies cases. No considerable side effects were observed during the trial

Pharmaceutical Journal 2003;325(5):17-19
Study on some pharmacological effects of earthworm in experimental methods, aiming at treating hypertension. Study results denoted that earthworm solution 2%, 4% all have vasodilator effect and inhibit the constriction of small intestine. In the study on dogs, earthworm solution at the dose 30g/Kg of body weight, 60 minutes after drinking, the tension began down and diminishing arterial tension continuously during 6 hours. The highest of decreasing tension was 31,6% comparison with the initial tension

8.Study on semi-chronic toxicity of MD (Ð?a Long) gelule on rabbit
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;353(9):20-22
Experimental animal were 20 New Zealand rabbit with two sexes, weight of 2.30.3 kg. Experimental drug was Dia Long was prepared into smooth powder, put into gelule with content 0.25 (MD gelule) was made in Pharmaceutical Department of Military Traditional Medicine Institute. After 30 days receiving Dia Long with dose of 0.5 g/kg/day, the rabbits were still normal, rapid activities, good appetite, dry dung, smooth hair; didn’t experience hair falling out or dry hair. There wasn’t any rabbits experienced digestive disorder. There was no difference on hematological indices, biochemical indices of liver and kidney functions, serum electrolyte and clinical symptoms between control group and trial group after using drug. Histological damages of liver and kidney weren’t significant different between control group and case group

9.Studying on the features of anemia on the patients treated in Thai Binh General hospital
Journal of Medical Research 2007;51(4):81-85
Background: Rate of anemia is quite high in hospitals. This condition occurs in all age groups, genders, occupations and all areas of the country. The assessment of the situation, degree, nature as well as classification of anemia is necessary for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Objectives: To study the features of anemia on the patients treated in Thai Binh General hospital. Subjects and methods: the analytic descriptive study was carried out on 3522 cases who were treated in Thaibinh General hospital from May 1st, 2004 to April 30th, 2005. Results: The percentage of the anemic patients was 14.16% of the total patients in Thaibinh General hospital. The rate of the anemia of children was 57.61 % and the elderly was 19% of all anemic patients. The rate of mild anemia was 64.2% and the sever anemia was 14.9%. The rate of chronic anemia was 72.9%. The microcytic anemia was 45.94%, the macrocytic anemia was 0.57%. The anemia in the blood diseases and hematopoietic diseases were 8.38% including thrombocytopenic purpura, thalassemia, leukemia, aplastic anemia and hemophilia. Conclusions: The rate of patients with anemia in Thai Binh General Hospital in period of 2004 - 2005 was 14.16% in the total patients treated; among them the rate of anemia in children was high. Yen Thi Thuy Hoang ; Nhan Thu Nguyen ; Hop Van Tran
Journal of Medical Research 2007;55(6):168-172
Background:The urocytogramme is a certain laboratory tests, although older. By studying the cellular elements from the wall of the bladder trigone desquamated in the urine, it allows cyto-hormonal diagnosis. It allows to assess the presence and importance of the biological effect of sex steroids. This examination is not commonly used because they are poorly known in our country. It's a review of how simple, noninvasive, inexpensive. Objectives:This study aims to learn about the value of urocytogramme in normal menstruation period of girls. Subjects and method:A study was conducted on 143 high school girls of Hai Ba Trung Secondary School, Hue city. The mean age was 15\xb18 months, completely puberty; the average weight was 45.7\xb16.8 kg; average height was 156.8 \xb18.5 cm. The duration of study was from September 2006 to May 2007. Results:Urocytogramme had the index which changed according to the phase of the menstrual cycle and correlated closely with sex hormone concentrations in the ovulatory phase. The IK index had the value in ovulation diagnostic phase with the sensitivity and specificity concentrations equivalent to LH and plasma Estradiol. Conclusion:Urocytogram was a useful test for the diagnosis of in normal menstruation period of adolescent girls. It was easy, cheap and truly reflected oestrogen activity to help doctors making decision for the treatment of lasting amenorrhea disorders.
