Objective To explore the effect of treadmill exercises on disuse osteoporosis and the media effect of OPG-RANKL-RANK system of osteoclast differentiation in the process.Methods Forty six-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal control group,a disuse model group,a normal recovery group and an exercise recovery group,each of 10.The normal control group were sacrificed 4 weeks later without receiving any special treatment.The disuse model group were sacrificed after 4 weeks of tail suspension.The normal recovery group were sacrificed after 4 weeks of tail suspension and keeping quiet for 4 weeks.The exercise recovery group were sacrificed after 4 weeks of tail suspension and another 4 weeks of treadmill exercises.The indicators of bone mineral density (BMD),bone histomorphometry,bone tissue TRACP-5b staining,bone metabolism and cytokines related to the osteoclast differentiation OPG-RANKL-RANK system were tested immediately after the rats were sacrificed.Results The BMD,trabecular bone volume percentage (TBV),trabecular bone width (Tb.Wi),concentration of serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and the gene expression of bone marrow oculopneumoplethysmograph (OPG) of the disuse model goup were significantly lower than those of the normal control group (P＜0.01),while the trabecular bone spacing (Tb.Sp),average positive staining area percentage (APSAP) of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRACP)-5b,concentration of serum Ca2+ and TRACP-5b and the gene expression of bone marrow cytokines including RANKL,macrophage colony-stinulating factor (M-CSF),RANK,interleukin (IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α of the disuse model goup were significantly higher than those of the normal control group (P＜0.01).The BMD,TBV,Tb.Wi,concentration of serum ALP and the gene expression of bone marrow OPG of the exercise recovery group were significantly higher than those of the normal recovery group (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).The Tb.Sp,APSAP,concentration of serum Ca2+ and TRACP-5b and the gene expression of RANKL,M-CSF,RANK,IL-6 and TNF-α of the exercise recovery group were significantly lower than those of the normal recovery group (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion The 4-week tail suspension can lead to disuse osteoporosis in rats.Treadmill exercise can promote the recovery of rats with the disuse osteoporosis.The occurrence of disuse osteoporosis and the effect of exercises on disuse osteoporosis were related with the expressing of OPG-RANKL-RANK system-related cytokines of osteoclast differentiation in bone marrow microenvironment.

AIM:To study pharmacokinetic of Pueraria Flavonid Nasal Drop in rabbits through nasal administration in comparison with oral administration. METHODS:Ten New Zealand rabbits were divided into two groups randomly and administrated nasally and orally (106.4 mg/kg of pueraria flavonid). HPLC was adopted to detect pueraria flavonoid content and DAS 2.0 was used to calculate bioavailability. RESULTS:The main pharmacokinetic parameters of nasal and oral administrations were AUC (0-∞)1 =(30.55?4.93)mg/(L?h),T max1 =(0.90?0.14)h,C max1 =(11.27?1.66)mg/L;AUC (0-∞)2 =(6.90?2.76)mg/(L?h),T max2 =(0.63?0.34)h,C max2 =(1.68?0.84)mg/L. Relative bioavailability of nasal delivery was 442.8%. CONCLUSION:Pueraria Flavonoid Nasal Drop is well absorbed in rabbits and has high bioavailability.

Calculate the number of myelinated nerve fibers of the branch of superficial flexor muscle. Results The distance between the position into muscle and styloid process of radius and styloid process of ulna: (21.4±1.8)mm, the distance that can be separated: (27.1±1.2)mm, the transverse diameter: (1.2±0.2)mm, anteroposterior diameter: (0.7 ± 0.1 )mm. No injury separated distance between the sensory branch and motor branch of ulnar nerve: (7.1 ± 0.7)cm. The 4th muscular branches of median nerve flexor digitorum superficialis was 1378.9± 107.9. Conclusion The 4th muscular branches of median nerve flexor digitorum superficialis can be used to repair the motor branch of the ulnar nerve to recover the function of intrinsic muscle of hand.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics, treatment and prognostic factors of cardiogenic shock in children. Methods A retrospective analysis was done on clinical features,management strategies and outcome in 36 children with cardiogenic shock in Intensive Care Unit of our hospital from February 1994 to December 2005. Results The clinical presentations of 36 patients varied with the different ages and different primary diseases. And the duration between the presentation and the onset of shock varied with the different primary diseases: the duration for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PST) was (62.2?12.9) hours, cardiomyopathy (CMP) was (42.0?23.0) hours, endocardial fibroelastosis (ECF) was (20.3?11.1) hours, and fulminant myocarditis (FMC) was (15.0?7.8) hours. At the early stage of shock, all patients showed soft heart sounds.Gallop rhythm was found in 15 cases (41.6%)and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was needed in 17 cases (47.2%).All cases had decreased ejection fraction(EF) and fractional shortening(FS) [(0.32?0.11), (0.14?0.05),respectively] on echocardiography.Cardiothoracic ratio increased in 35 cases (97.2%) and arrhythmia developed in 34 cases (94.4%).
