A new method for noninvasive prenatal diagnosis of fetal sex was developed by using single-cell PEP-PCR techniques. Micromamipulation techniques were used to obtain single fetal cells from 273 maternal blood samples. The genome of single cells was preamplified by PEP and SRY genes were analyzed by PCR method. The SRY genes of 149 samples were detected by the new method among 153 samples carrying male fetus, while 119 out of 120 samples carrying female fetus were proved negative for SRY genes. The sensitivity and specificity of the new method were 97.39% and 99.17% respectively and the correct rate was 98.17%. The new method has the advantage of high sensitivity and specificity in noninvasive prenatal diagnosis of fetal sex and provides the basis of other researches such as sex-linked inherited diseases.

The single cell isolation technique was used to detect fetal nucleated erythroblasts (FNRBCs) at a single cell level from the peripheral blood of pregnant women in order to investigate the feasibility of this method for noninvasive prenatal diagnosis. Single fetal nucleated erythroblasts were isolated from the peripheral blood samples from 51 pregnant women (14 to 26 weeks of gestation) by micromanipulation techniques after density gradient centrifugation. Nested polymerase chain reaction method was used to amplify the SRY gene. It was found that the concordance rate of amplification results with real fetal sex was 82.61 %. The sensitivity and specificity were 80 % and 87.50 % respectively. It was suggested that it is feasible and promising in non invasive prenatal diagnosis to detect fetal nucleated erythroblasts at a single cell level by using micromanipulation techniques.

Objective This study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of orbital blowout fracture repair using the individual titanium mesh bent by computer-aided rapid prototyping . Methods The CT imaging data of 11 cases of orbital blowout fracture were analyzed. The subciliary approach was used for the exposure of the fractures .An appropriate 3D-printed titanium mesh pre-bent by computer-aided rapid prototyping was selected and implanted according to the characteristics of a given defect .The surgical results were analyzed by evaluating diplopia , eyeball movement , enophthalmos , and the position of the titanium mesh and comparing the orbital vol-ume before and after surgery . Results All the operations were successfully accomplished .No remolding or trimming was needed for the pre-bent titanium mesh and implanted titanium mesh was tightly fixed to the orbital wall .The patients were followed up for 3 -12 months, which revealed no symptoms of diplopia in any of the patients . Volumetric analysis showed a significantly reduced orbital volume difference from (2.60 ±0.43) mL preoperatively to (-0.07 ±0.62) mL postoperatively (P<0.01).Enophthalmos was desirably correc-ted, with the enophthalmos difference decreased from (2.35 ±0.81)mm preoperatively to (-0.10 ±0.52) mm postoperatively (P<0.01).No extra-ocular muscle limitation was observed . Conclusion The individual titanium mesh bent with computer-aided rapid prototyping technology can be applied to orbital blowout fracture repair , which may achieve a high success rate of anatomic restoration of the orbital volume and effective prevention of enophthalmos .

Objective:
To investigate the level of the core knowledge and related factors of cancer prevention and treatment among residents in the upper gastrointestinal cancer screening areas of Sichuan Province in 2018.
Methods:
From April to May 2018, a total of 1 386 residents from Chaotian District of Guangyuan, Enyang District of Bazhong, Nanjiang County of Bazhong, Cangxi County of Guangyuan, Shehong County of Suining, Yilong County of Nanchong, Xichong County of Nanchong and Xuanhan County of Dazhou were recruited in this study. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect basic demographic characteristics and the knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment. The level of the core knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment of different population was analyzed. A multivariate linear regression model was performed to analyze the related factors.
Results:
In total, 80.9% (1 120) of all subjects was 25-64 years old and 48.0% (665) were male. The total number of questions answered by the subjects was 18 018, of which 12 147 were known, and the overall awareness rate among the respondents was 67.42%. The female respondents, respondentsaged 65 years old and over, with junior college education or above, and worked in government institutions had a good performance of the core knowledge (
