Objective To explore the influence of health education on living quality and medical compliance of patients suffering from gynecologic malignant tumor. Methods 69 cases of patients suffer-ing from gynecologic malignant tumor were divided into the observation group (35 cases) and the control group(34 cases). The control group was conducted with routine instructions of treatment and nursing, while individualized health education was given to the patients of the observation group and their relatives based on routine treatment and nursing. The living quality and medical compliance were observed in two groups separately on admission and half year after treatment. Results The living quality of the observation group was better than that of the control group as well as the medical compliance. Conclusions Individualized health education can improve the living quality and medical compliance of patients suffering from gyneco-logic malignant tumor to ensure the treatment effect of disease and is feasible as well.

OBJECTIVE:To study the vasodilatation effects of the alcohol extract from Uighur medicine Ziziphora clinopodioi-des(EEZ)on isolated rat thoracic aorta vessel rings. METHODS:Isolated rat thoracic aorta vessel rings were prepared. There was a group with intact vessel ring endothelium and a group with vessel ring endothelium removed in the test. After preshrinking the ves-sel rings with phenylephrine(PE),EEZ of 100,300,500,700,900 and 1 100 mg/L was added gradually,concentration-vasodila-tation curve was drawn and maximal vasodilatation rate (Emax) and median effective concentration (EC50) were calculated. For the group with vessel ring endothelium removed,after the vessel ring was pretreated with EEZ at EC50 in calcium-free solution or calci-um-free high-potassium solution,CaCl2 of 0.4,0.8,1.2,1.6,2.0 and 2.4 mmol/L was added gradually,and calcium concentra-tion-tension curve was drawn;following the pretreatment of the vessel ring with EEZ at EC50,1 μmol/L PE was added and shrink tension was recorded and vasoconstriction percentages was calculated. RESULTS:EEZ had vasodilatation effect on the vessel ring preshrunk with PE in a concentration and smooth muscle-dependent manner. The group with intact vessel ring endothelium and the group with vessel ring endothelium removed respectively had Emax of (58.18 ± 16.23)% and (73.54 ± 17.21)%,and EEZ EC50 of 773.27 mg/L. For calcium-free high-potassium solution,EEZ could cause the calcium ion-vasoconstriction curve to move to the right obviously;for calcium-free solution,EEZ could inhibit the vasoconstriction caused by PE. CONCLUSIONS:EEZ has vasodi-latation effects by a mechanism which may be related to inhibiting calcium influx and intracytoplasmic calcium release through the inhibition of voltage-dependent calcium channels(VDCCs),and thus interfering intracytoplasmic calcium ion balance.

Aim To investigate the effect of oral itraconazole on pharmacokinetics of viaminate and under-stand the metabolism pathway of viaminate in healthy humans,as well as guide the reasonable medication for viaminate and itraconazole coadministration.Methods The study was conducted in a double-blind randomized and crossover manner with two phases of treatment with placebo-viaminate or itraconazole-viaminate.Eight healthy male subjects received an oral dose of 200 mg itraconazole(QD) or matched placebo for five consecutive days,and took an oral 100 mg dose of viaminate on day 4 after each treatment phase.The liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS) was established to measure the blood drug concentration of viaminate.Results Our results showed that the mean peak concentration of viaminate was increased with itraconazole [(21.21?11.65) ?g?L~(-1) vs(27.12?13.83) ?g?L~(-1),P0.05].Additionally,the mean elimination half life was prolonged [(2.71?0.38) h vs(4.43?0.93) h,P

Objective To establish a gemcitabine-resistant human nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)cell line and study its characteristics.Methods The drug-resistant cell line CNE2/Gem was established by a procedure of treating the human NPC cells CNE2 with gemcitabine by pulse drug selection and continuous stepwise selection.The IC50 and resistance index(RI)to several commonly used anti-tumor drugs were tested by MTT assay.Fluorescence activated cell analysis(FACS)was employed for determining the cell cycle and concentration of fluorescence dye rhodamine 123 within the cells.Cell growth curve,doubling time and cell morphology were measured and observed.Results Duplication time of CNE2 and CNE2/Gem was 17.13h and 23.13h,respectively,as evaluated by the growth curve.The IC50 to gemcitabine increased from 2.84?1.63?g/ml in CNE2 to 42.95?7.53?g/ml in CNE2/Gem as tested by MTT assay at 48～72h exposure,the RI was 23.61(P

Objective:To understand the current situation of physicians′ competency in China and statistically analyze its influencing factors, hence providing referential evidences for promoting their competency.Methods:The evaluation scale for Chinese physicians′ competency was developed by referring to sophisticated overseas evaluation frameworks. Based on the electronic platform of the medical alliance, stratified sampling was conducted at 39 hospitals in 13 provinces, from which 2 156 physicians were surveyed, and statistical analysis was made on the current situation and influential factor of their competency in 6 dimensions(medical knowledge, diagnosis and treatment, scientific research and teaching, interpersonal communication, spirit of professionalism, population health)Results:The score range in multiple dimensions of physicians′ competency was between 2.85 and 3.89(5 in total), among which spirit of professionalism dimension scores the highest, and teaching and research dimension scores the lowest. Logistic regression analysis shows that their competency level in 6 dimensions is correlated to a range of factors, including gender, degree, title, supervisor qualifications, standardized training program of specialist physicians, and affiliation or not to teaching hospitals( P<0.05). Conclusions:Their overall competency is expected to be elevated. To name a few, they are lack of teaching and research abilities, and need to conduct clinical-oriented scientific research; they are expected to enrich knowledge structure, and need to embrace a wider concept of health; they need to improve their non-technical service abilities, and should further emphasize their humanistic quality; physicians′ practice competency depends upon their extent of medical education, and ensuring the quality of standardized training becomes the key measure.

AIM:To determine the contents of isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid in Zhongjiefeng Tablet(Sarcandra glabra(Thunb)). METHODS:HPLC was performed on Diamonsil C18 column(250 mm ? 4. 6 mm,5 ?m),the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0. 1% phosphoric acid solution(80 ∶ 20) at a flow rate of 1. 0 mL/min. The column temperature was set at 35 ℃,UV detection wavelength was at 342 nm. RESULTS:Contents of isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid detecded showed good linear relation(R2 =0. 999 99,0. 999 92,respectively) and the average recoveries(n =6) of 98. 7% (RSD =2. 22% )and 96. 9% (RSD =2. 76% ). CONCLUSION:The method is fea-sible,accurate and reliable,thereby available for quality control.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of postpartum depression among female immigrants at Tianhe district of Guangzhou. Methods A total of 2021 migrant women postpartum in three hospitals at Tianhe district of Guangzhou were screened with Center for Epidemiological Survey Depression Scale , (CES-D), Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) and self-made related factors questionnaire from May to December, 2013. Results This study showed postpartum depression affected 18.31% of migrant women at Tianhe district of Guangzhou. Unconditional logistic regression analysis showed a significant correlation of PPD with birth place , residence time,newborn disease,fetus gender and household income (P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified birth place,residence time,newborn disease,fetus gender as the risk factors for PPD,household income was negatively correlated with the incidence of PPD with OR value of 0.680;Compared with healthy female immigrants, the total score of social support rating scale,the score of objective support,subjective support and social utilization degree were significantly reduced respectively in female immigrants with PPD. Conclusion The prevalence of PPD was high at Tianhe district of Guangzhou,health education and comprehensive social support system should be offered in order to prevent PPD.

Objective To investigate the relaxant effects of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulata (Hook.f.et Thoms.) H.Ohba in isolated rat thoracic aorta and its possible mechanisms.MethodsThe thoracic aortas from male Sprague-Dawley rats were isolated and cut into 3- to 4-mm-wide transverse rings, and the tension in endothelium-intact or endothelium-denuded aortic rings was recorded. The relaxant effects of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulata in various concentrations (100, 300, 500, 700, 900, and 1 100 mg/L) in aortic rings precontracted with phenylephrine (1 μmol/L) were observed. The effects of pretreatment with soluble guanylyl cyclase inhibitor ODQ (10 μmol/L) on the relaxant effects of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulata were observed. The effects of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulataon calcium-induced contractions in calcium-free high-potassium medium and phenylephrine-induced contractions in calcium-free medium were also observed.ResultsEthanol extract fromRhodiola crenulatashowed a concentration-dependent relaxation in aortic rings precontracted with phenylephrine. The maximal relaxations of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulataln endothelium-intact or endothelium-denuded aortic rings were 57.4% ± 21.81% and 60.51% ± 0.34%, respectively, with a half-maximal effective concentration of 1 062.88 mg/L. The relaxant effects of ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulatawere not statistically inhibited by pretreatment with ODQ (P>0.05). Contractions of aortic rings resulted from phenylephrine-induced Ca2+ release from intracellular stores in calcium-free medium or high potassium-induced influx of Ca2+ in calcium-free high-potassium medium were significantly inhibited by ethanol extract fromRhodiola crenulata(allP<0.05).ConclusionEthanol extract fromRhodiola crenulatahas a concentration-dependent vasorelaxation, its mechanisms may be involved in blocking extracellular Ca2+ influx and intracellular Ca2+ release.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) in pa?tients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and investigate correlative factors of RBD. Methods Sixty-three consecutive PD pa?tients were included and classified into PD+RBD group (n=28) and PD-RBD group (n=35) according to REM Sleep Be?havior Disorder Questionnaire (RBDQ-HK). The degree of motor symptoms was compared using Unified Parkinson Dis?ease Rating Scale (UPDRS) and Hoehn&Yahr (H-Y) grade, the incidence of non motor symptoms was compared using non motor symptoms questionnaire (NMSquest), and the cognitive function, anxiety, depression, daytime sleep were com?pared using Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Epworth Sleep Scale (ESS) between the two groups. Results The incidence of RBD in PD patients was 44.4% (28/63). There were longer illness course ( χ2=12.733, P=0.002), older age (t=-2.292, P=0.025), and higher H-Y grades (χ2=7.014, P=0.008) in PD+RBD group, compared with those in PD-RBD group, but there were no significant differences in sex, onset age, onset form and levodapa dose equivalents (LDE) between the two groups. There were higher UPDRSⅡ,Ⅲ scores (t=-2.734, P=0.008; U=3.329, P=0.001) in PD+RBD group. Most of the non motor symptoms, including the gastrointestinal dysfunctions, psychiatric comorbidity and sleep disturbances were more frequent in PD+RBD group (P<0.05), and the incidence of anxiety and depression were higher (χ2=3.958, P=0.047; χ2=10.338, P=0.001), whereas there were no significant differences in cognitive function and daytime sleep between the two groups. In addition, constipation (OR=7.257), illness course (OR=5.389), UPDRS Ⅲ scores (OR=1.060) were correlative with RBD in PD patients. Con?clusion PD patients with longer illness course, older ages, and severe motor and non motor symptoms more likely suffer from RBD. Besides, constipation, long illness course and high UPDRSⅢscores may be risk factors of RBD.

Objective To observe the influence of rizatriptan on the behavior and pain-related cytokines in peripheral blood of the migraine model rats, and to investigate the theraputic effect of rizatriptan on migraine.Methods A total of 24 rats were randomly divided into:control group,migraine group,rizatriptan control group and rizatriptan treatment group.The rats in rizatriptan control and rizatriptan treatment groups were intragastrically perfused with rizatriptan,1 mg·kg-1 per day (according to the adult daily dose),and the rats in control and migraine groups were perfused with normal saline,1 mL per day. After 7 d, nitroglycerin was subcutaneously inj ected into the buttocks of the rats in rizatriptan treatment and migraine groups to induce migraine.Normal saline was injected into the rats in control and rizatriptan control groups.At 60-90 min following nitroglycerin injection,the total number of behavioral symptoms was measured.The serum calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP),5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT ), interleukin-1β(IL-1β), and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) levels were determined using ELISA. Results Compared with migraine group, the behavioral score of the rats in rizatriptan treatment group was significantly decreased (P<0.05).The serum CGRP level of the rats in migraine group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).Compared with control group,the serum 5-HT level of the rats in and migraine group was decreased, but there was no significant differece (P>0.05 );the serum 5-HT level in rizatriptan control group was significantly increased(P<0.05).The serum 5-HT level of the rats in rizatriptan treatment group was significantly increased compared with migraine group (P<0.05).The serum IL-1βand TNF-αlevels of the rats in varions groups had no significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion Rizatriptan can relieve the behavior symptoms in nitroglycerin-induced migraine model rats, increase the serum 5-HT level, improve the vasomotor disturbance,and relieve the angiectasis.
