1.A STUDY OF STRUCTURE-EFFECT RELATIONSHIP OF CLOFIBRATE AND ITS HOMOLOGUE
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
Effects of decreasing serum cholesterol & structure-effect relation ships of clofibrate & its homologue were studied in this paper . The model of high lipid animal was made by ip yolk emulsion. Effects of 3 drugs for serum cholesterol were observed . These results showed that clofibrate (200mg/kg) & ethyl-p-acetaminophenoxy-ac etate (200,100mg/kg) both lowered serum cholesterol levels (P
2.Antihypertensive effect of 3,6-di (dimethylamino) dibenzopyriodonium fromate (IHC-64)
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
The blood pressure of conscious and anaesthetized animals feel significantly after iv IHC-64. IHC-64 acts rapidly but the time of acts was short. No acute tolerance was observed. After iv IHC-64 0. 5 and 1. 5 mg?kg-1 in anaesthetized dogs the blood pressure feel immediately, lasted for 12?5 min and 30 min . After iv IHC-64 0. 75,1. 5 and 3. 0 mg?kg-1in anaesthetized rabbits the blood pressure fell within 0. 5~ 1.0 min and the time of acts was re-spectively 10?5 min,12?7 min and 19?11 min . Antihypertensive effect of IHC-64 was more powerful than that of Clonidine and was similar to Sodium Notroprusside. The dosage of antihypertensive effect didn't affect the heart rate of conscious rabbits and anaesthetized dogs.
3.Comparison between s.przewalsii maxim injection and s.miltiorrhize bunge injection on the protection on acute focal cerebral ischemia of rats and the effect against lipide peroxidation
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2000;0(01):-
AIM: To compare the effect of s. miltiorrhize bunge injection (SMBI) and s. przewalsii maxim injection (SPMI) on acute focal cerebral ischemia in rats, and to study the mechanism of the actions of two agents. METHODS: Acute focal cerebral ischemia model was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rats, and cerebral infarction volume was determined quantitatively by computer microscopical image analysis instruments. MDA content in serum was determined by TBA colorimetric analysis. SOD content in serum was studied by radioimmunity method. The scavenging effect of hydroxyl radical (?OH) was measured by electron spin resonance technique (ESR). RESULTS: SMBI and SPMI could markedly reduce infarction volume after occlusion of middle cerebral artery and MDA content in serum in rats. SMBI could elevate SOD content in serum. Two injections could markedly inhibit the formation of hydroxyl radical (?OH),and the effect of SPMI was better than that of SMBI. CONCLUSION: The effects of both SMBI and SPMI are similar, and it is possible that SPMI as a satisfactory substitute for SMBI.
4.Comparison of energy metabolism on brain lacking oxygen between Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge injection and Salvia przewalskii Maxim injection in mice
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2000;0(02):-
AIM: To compare the influence of salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge njection (SMBI) and salvia przewalskii Maxim injec tion (SPMI) on energy metabolism of acute brain lacking oxygen. METHODS : The whole brain lacking oxygen model was made by injecting NaNO 2 in mice and then wrote down the existent time of mice and detected the contents of Na +-K +-ATPase, Ca 2+ -ATPase and lactic acid (LD) in the brain. RESULTS: SMBI and SPMI both significantly lengthened the existent tim e of mice with the whole brain lacking oxygen, decreased the contents of LD and increased the activity of ATPase in mice. In increasing the activity of ATPase, the influence of SPMI was more than that of SMBI (P 0.05 ). CONCLUSION: SMBI an d SPMI have distinctive protection on energy metabolism of acute brain lacking o xygen. Both of them can lengthen the existent of mice, reduce the contents of LD in brain and increase the activity of ATPase, but SPMI is more excellent than S MBI in increasing the activity of ATPase.

AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effects of Zhuyejiao tablets (Tab.ZYJ) on chronic pelvic inflammation (CPI) induced by coliform in rats. METHODS: The CPI model was made by injecting coliform O-B_4 standard strains in the uterus of rat. Animals were randomly divided into six groups and drugs were administered for 21 days, bid, respectively. The immune function of animals was measured and the uterus was pathologically observed. RESULTS: The level of serum agglutinin and lymphocyte transformation index markedly increased in all ZYJ groups. Morphological investigation also revealed the alleviation of inflammation in ZYJ groups. CONCLUTION: ZYJ has therapeutic effects on chronic pelvic inflammation in rats.
