Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(17):1281-1284
Objective To investigate the posttraumatic growth(PTG)in female patients with breast cancer after operation and the possible influencing factors related to the PTG of these patients. Methods 300 female patients with breast cancer from Oct 2014 to Jan 2015 in 7 third-level grade A hospitals were selected by random number table. The posttraumatic growth inventory (PTGI)was used to study PTG status in these patients. Clinical data including age, degree of education, marital status, underlying disease, clinical stage, surgical method, adjuvant therapy and postoperative complications were univariate analyzed, then the positive factors were logistic regression analyzed. Results The mean PTG score was 59.83±12.90, univariate analysis showed that degree of education (F=15.80, P=0.000), underlying disease (t=3.90,P=0.000), clinical stage (F=10.17, P=0.000), surgical method (t=5.12, P=0.000) and postoperative complications(t=4.85,P=0.000) were influencing factors, while multivariate analysis by logistic regression showed that clinical stag(OR=6.635, P=0.000), surgical method (OR=2.858, P=0.000) and postoperative complications (OR=2.731, P=0.035) were independent influencing factors for female patients with breast cancer after operation. Conclusions The posttraumatic growth status in breast cancer patients undergoing operation declined dramatically. The level of metal change dimension are main clinical features of breast cancer patients. There are close associations between PTG and clinical stag, surgical method and postoperative complications.

Method Overall 286 nursing undergraduates participated in the survey by the professional identity scale and social support scale. Results The average score on the social support was (38.12 ± 4.70), and the average score on the professional identity of undergraduate nursing students was (107.29 ± 15.01), which was in the medium level. Objective To explore the effect of unsupported arm exercise (UAE) on dyspnea, exercise endurance of upper limbs and qual-ity of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods From May to October, 2014, totally 70 patients with COPD were recruited and were randomly assigned to control group and intervention group. Both groups received routine care, and the inter-vention group performed UAE for six weeks additionally. The COPD Assessment Test (CAT), baseline dyspnoea index (BDI) and six-min-ute Pegbord and Ring Test (6PBRT) were recorded. Results The scores of CAT and BDI, and the number of turns in six minutes were better in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion UAE can increase the exercise endurance of upper limbs, relieve the dyspnea, and improve the quality of life in patients with COPD.

Professional identity score was on the rise along with the grade growth, but the score of grade two was significant lower than the other three grades, and the score showed an increase in grade three; grade, whether profession was consistent with their own interests or not, the reasons of choosing the profession were the important factors affecting professional identity of nursing undergraduates.
