As highly active anti-retroviral therapy continues, large numbers of drug-resistant strains appeared in human immunodeficiency virus ( HIV) infectors, which always leads to a decline of treatment results or even a treatment failure. The genotypic resistance analysis technique of the bioinformatics is a powerful tool to forecast the HIV resistance and also determines the success or failure of antiviral therapy. This review will be focus on the advantages and disadvantages, influence factor of the genotype resistance prediction and improve measure of the primary HIV drug resistance genotype interpretation system, depending on the principle and characteristics of the genotypic drug resistance analysis as the breakthrough point, in order to provide guidance for reasonable application of different genotypes drug resistance analysis system in China.

Objective:Now the mechanical ventilation has become the essential emergency or therapy equipment in the all sizes of hospitals. However with the widely application of ventilators, they are still the kind of high risk of medical instruments. In order to reduce various equipment failures, an overall management strategy based on traceability of two-dimension code is constructed in this article, which will provide a new direction for medical equipment management. Methods: Using the popular application of WiFi network and creating the only identified two-dimension code, the overall management strategy is established for the ventilators. Results: The centralized and decentralized management model is adopted in the preservation of ventilators. And all the operators of ventilators will be supported technology service about equipment failures and setting parameters by the respiratory department and engineering department. In addition to this, the two departments should organize the staff to learn the operation of ventilators in the hospital. All of those compose the structure of overall management. Conclusion: With the management of this method, the efficiency of ventilators is improved, and the rate of machine failures is dropped. The difficulty about technology service caused by space can be solved in time. Finally, the professional ability of the staff in hospital will be improved with the communication among the different departments.

Objective To explore the effect of cell apoptosis and oxidative stress on stressive liv-er injury after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats. Methods The model of TBI was duplicated by u-sing modified Allen's mehtods. Forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group and groups at 6,12,24,48 hours after TBI. The serum levels of ALT and AST as well as the levels of superox-ide dismutase (SOD) and malandialdehyde in liver tissue were measured. The index of hepatocyte apopto-sis was detected through flow cytometer. Pathological changes of liver tissues were observed under light and electron microscopes. Results After TBI, the serum levels of ALT and AST were significantly in-creased, while malondialdehyde was increased and SOD decreased in liver tissues. The electron micro-scope showed that the index of hepatocyte apoptosis reached a peak at 6 hours after TBi. Aggressive inju-ries of the liver tissues were observed after TBI, showed by pathological observations. Conclusion Cell apoptosis and oxidative stress may be involved in the pathogenesis of stressive liver injury after TBI.

Objective To investigate the effects of up?regulated miR?206/miR?1 on the proliferation of breast cancer stem cells and the effect mech?anism. Methods Breast cancer stem cells(BCSCs)were isolated from breast cancer cell line MCF?7 by fluorescence?activated cell sorting. Cells in the experiment were divided into the blank control group, the negative control group, the miR?206 group and the miR?1 group. The BCSCs were transfected by negative control mimic,hsa?miR?206mimic and hsa?miR?1mimic in all groups except the blank control group. MiR?206and miR?1 expression levels as well as the transcription factor EVI?1 gene were detected by real time PCR. The expression levels of the transcription factor EVI?1 protein were detected by Western blot. MTT method was used to detect the effects of miR?206 and miR?1 on the proliferation of BCSCs. Results The BCSCs(CD44+/CD24-/low cells)isolated from MCF?7 cell lines were successfully cultured in serum?free medium for subsequent studies. After transfection of hsa?miR?206mimic and hsa?miR?1mimic for 48 hours,miR?206and miR?1relative expression levels increased. EVI?1mRNA ex?pression levels significantly decreased. The results of Western blot and MTT showed that up?regulated expression levels of miR?206 and miR?1 could significantly reduce the expression of EVI?1 protein and inhibited the proliferation of BCSCs. The differences in levels of miR?206,miR?1 and EVI?1 protein were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Up?regulated miR?206 and miR?1 expression can inhibit the proliferation ability of BCSCs,which may be related to the down?regulation of EVI?1.

Aim To investigate the effect of bufalin on proliferation and expression of WT1 in K562 cells. Methods The colony number of K562 cell was detec-ted with semi-solid culture assay. The cell cycle was measured by flowcytometry, and the expression of WT1 was observed with immunocytochemistry. Subcutaneous tumor models established by K562 cells in BALB/C nu/nu mice were divided into three groups, including model group, bufalin group and positive control group. After 21 days, the subcutaneous tumors were removed for calculating the inhibitory rate of tumor growth. HE staining and immunohistochemistry were used to ob-serve the morphological changes and the expression of WT1 . Results ① Bufalin could significantly decrease the colony number of K562 cell, arrest it at G0/G1 phase and down-regulate its expression of WT1 in a dose-dependent manner. ② Compared with the model group, the tumor inhibitory rate was much higher, while the volume and the weight were obviously lower in the other two groups. ③Bufalin could induce apop-tosis, necrosis, hemorrhage and fibrosis with HE stai-ning, and down-regulate the expression of WT1. Con-clusion Bufalin could inhibit the proliferation, arrest the cell cycle at G0/G1 phase and down-regulate the expression of WT1 in vitro. Bufalin could inhibit the tumor inhibitory rate, the volume and the weight of the subcutaneous tumors, induce apoptosis, necrosis, hemorrhage and fibrosis with HE staining and down-regulate the expression of WT1 .

Objective To study the imaging appearances of congenital splenorenal venous shunt, and to evaluate their clinical significances. Methods Of 127 283 patients who underwent upper abdominal CT scanning,6 patients were diagnosed to have congenital splenorenal venous shunt. The imagings were studied retrospectively.Plain scanning, enhanced CT and Doppler ultrasonography were performed on all these patients. Results The incidence was about 47/million.The six patients were all females, the age was between 32 to 67 years. The mean age was 48.8 years.Enhanced CT demonstrated that there were twisted and dilated shunting blood vessels between the splenic and renal veins. The diameters in four patients were larger than the splenic and portal veins. In the remaining two patients, they were smaller shunting blood vessels. One patient had an associated absence of right portal vein. Two patients had associated dysplasia of portal veins and splenic veins.MPR,CPR,MIP and VR could three-dimensionally depict the courses, the beginnings and the ends of the splenorenal shunts.Doppler ultrasonography showed counterflow between the portal and splenic veins, and showed the blood in the splenic vein to flow into the left renal vein. Conclusions A congenital splenorenal venous shunt is one of the rare form of congenital extrahepatic portosystemic venous shunts.Enhanced MSCT scan combining with its post-processing techniques could clearly demonstrate the shunt vessels and the associated lesions.Doppler ultrasonography could further demonstrate the shunt direction.

AIM: To investigate the possible role of prostaglandin, NO and potassium channel in the adaptive blunting of hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction (HPV) in the high altitude animal (pika). METHODS: The effect of L-NAME, indomethacin and 4-AP on the response of isolated lung strips of pika and Wistar rats instead of pulmonary artery to acute hypoxia were studied. RESULTS: (1) After inhibition of prostaglandins by indomethacin, the percentage increase in hypoxic constriction in lung tissue strip of pikas was greater than that in Wistar rats[(64.7?50.9)% vs (19.7?14.1)%], P
