The big-data era has arrived, which involves all professions and trades. Its impact on the medical field has gradually revealed. With the characteristics of big data "4V" (volume, velocity, variety, value) and its theory generality with TCM (holistic thinking, correlativity) as well as regularity of disease development, combined with present status of acupuncture clinical research, the influences of big-data era on trial design, data collection, analysis and sharing of acupuncture clinical research are discussed in this paper, aiming to provide references for solving the difficulties of study design and determining the future research direction of acupuncture clinical research.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(6):1244-1249
This paper mainly studies the driving system of centrifugal blood pump for extracorporeal circulation, with the core being disc magnetic coupling. Structure parameters of disc magnetic coupling are related to the ability of transferring magnetic torque. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out disc magnetic coupling permanent magnet pole number (n), air gap length (L(g)), permanent magnet thickness (L(m)), permanent magnet body inside diameter (R(i)) and outside diameter (R(o)), etc. thoroughly. This paper adopts the three-dimensional static magnetic field edge element method of Ansys for numerical calculation, and analyses the relations of magnetic coupling each parameter to transmission magnetic torque. It provides a good theory basis and calculation method for further optimization of the disc magnetic coupling.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2010;38(3):409-412
The monosaccharide composition and the structure of polysaccharide from Pichia fermentans were analyzed. The yeast cells were broken with ultrasonic disruption and the crude polysaccharide was precipitated by addition of ethanol. Then, the crude polysaccharide was separated by diethylaminoethyl(DEAE) cellulose column separation and an acquisition of uniform water-soluble polysaccharide yeast polysaccharides 5(YP5) was obtained. The results of gas chromatographic analysis indicated that the glycosyl was made of rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, mannose, glucose and galactose, whose molar ratio was 9.51∶ 1.33∶ 2.31∶ 0.94∶ 84.93∶0.96, respectively. The molecular weight of polysaccharides YP5 was 8.3×10~4 measured by Ubbelohde viscosity method. Combination of IR and ~1H NMR analysis showed that the YP5 owned characteristic infrared absorption peaks of polysaccharide and contained amino groups. The β-D-glucan was main glucosidic linkage of polysaccharides PY5.

Objective To investigate the enhanced effect of polysaccharide from B.jiangsiensis(PBJ) on the immune hypofunction mouse models and its dose-effect relationship. Methods The immune hypofunction mouse models were made by hypodermic injection with cyclophosphamide(Cy) in mice.PBJ's effect on hemolysin content in mouse body induced by chicken erythrocytes and the delayed-type hypersensitivity(DTH) induced by dinitrochlorobenzene in mice were observed and contrasted in the different mouse groups treated with Cy in vivo by hypodermic injection together with PBJ at doses of 400mg/kg,200mg/kg and 50mg/kg,respectively.Results The test showed that the index of hemolysin, hemolytic plaque formation and delayed hypersensitivity reaction in model group markedly decreased while the indexes of hemolysin test in the control group, high and middle dose groups increased(P

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for simultaneous determination of 4 psoralen compounds in Buwu tincture. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of Dikma Diamonsil C18 with mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.2% Acetic acid by gradient elution at flow rate of 1 ml/min,detection wavelength was 246 nm,column temperature was 30 ℃,and the injection vol-ume was 15 μl. RESULTS:The linear range was 13.00-208 μg/ml for angelicin,26.00-416 μg/ml for bavachin,24.50-392 μg/ml for psoralidin and 37.88-606 μg/ml for isobavachalcone,respectively(r≥0.999 6);RSDs of precision, stability and reproducibility tests were less than 2.00%;recoveries were 95.22%-97.23%(RSD=0.87%,n=6),100.24%-104.64%(RSD=1.62%,n=6), 102.28%-104.39%(RSD=1.47%,n=6)and 97.68%-100.17%(RSD=0.97%,n=6),respectively. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple and reproducible, and can be used for the quality control of Buwu tincture.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and features of thyroid nodules in middle and aged patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods High-resolution ultrasonography was used to detect thyroid nodules in 132 cases middle and aged patients with type 2 diabetes and 89 patients without diabetes. The nodule features and its relationships with related indicators in diabetic patients were analyzed. Results The prevalence of thyroid nodules in middle and aged patients with type 2 diabetes was higher than that without diabetes (67.4% vs. 53.9%,P<0.05),and most occurred in 50 to 59 age group (66.7% vs. 42.9%) without dependence on changes in thyroid functions and volumes. In diabetes group, the prevalence of thyroid nodules were 59.5% in male and 81.3% in female (P<0.05),no obvious difference was observed in the size and number of thyroid nodules between male and female, multiple nodules and micronodule (< 1.0 cm) had the higher incidences in both sexes. The prevalence of thyroid nodules was increased with aging, but not with diabetes duration and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) level (x2 =0.797,P=0.372; x2 =1.078,P =0.229). Conclusions It is common that thyroid nodules combined with diabetes in middle and aged patients, thyroid ultrasound screening and regular following-up of patients aged ≥50 years have important clinical significance.

The ITS/ITS2 barcodes were used to simply and effectively identify Codonopsis Radix and its adulter-ants. In this study, ITS (internal transcribed spacer of unclear ribosomal DNA) regions were amplified using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) from thirty-three samples of Codonopsis Radix and ITS2 regions were obtained from the ITS sequences using the hidden Markov model (HMMer)-based annotation methods. The sequences of ITS/ITS2 regions were aligned and the genetic distances were computed by MEGA5.0. Species identification efficiency of ITS/ITS2 sequences were evaluated using BLAST1 and nearest distance methods. The results indicated that The sequences lengths of ITS regions of Codonopsis Radix were 654-655 bp, and the lengths of ITS2 regions were 239 bp. The intraspecific genetic distances among Codonopsis Radix were obviously lower than the interspecific genetic distance between Codonopsis Radix and its adulterants. Therefore, ITS/ITS2 regions can stably and accu-rately distinguish Codonopsis Radix and its adulterants.
