Objective To explore the application value of platelet parameters detection in early diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods Platelet parameters of intravenous blood from 103 breast cancer patients and 117 fibroadenoma patients within 24 hours of admission between January 2015 and December 2015 were collected and retrospectively analyzed, including platelet count(PLT),plateletcrit(PCT),mean platelet volume(MPV),mean platelet component concentration(MPC),mean platelet component mass (MPM),platelet distribution width(PDW),and compared with control group of 100 healthy women. The diagnostic efficiency of platelet parameters were assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. Results PLT and PCT in breast cancer group and fibroadenoma group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01);MPC,PMM and PDW were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.01);MPV had no significant statistically difference(P>0.05).The levels of MPC in breast cancer group were obviously lower than that in fibroadenoma group(P<0.01).The diagnostic efficiency of MPC in breast cancer had the highest area under curve(AUC=0.835).While the cutoff value of MPC was 249.5 g/L,sensitivity and specificity were 82.5 % and 73.6 %,respectively. Conclusion The detection of platelet parameters, especially MPC,have certain application value in early diagnosis of breast cancer.

Objective To evaluate the effect of cisplatin on analgesia with morphine in rats with incisional pain. Methods Forty-two adult male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighing 180-220 g,were randomly divided into 6 groups (n =7 each) using a random number table:normal saline group (group C),normal saline + Pglycoprotein inhibitor LY335979 group (group CL),normal saline + morphine group (group CM),cisplatin group (group S),cisplatin + morphine group (group SM) and cisplatin + morphine + LY335979 group (group SML).Cisplatin 2 mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally once every two days for 5 times in S,SM and SML groups, while the equal volume of normal saline was injected intraperitoneally in C,CL and CM groups. At 2 days after the end of administration, the incisional pain models were established. At 10 min after establishing the model, normal saline 2 ml was injected subcutaneously in C and S groups; LY335979 20 mg/kg was injected via the caudal vein and normal saline 2 ml was injected subcutaneously in group CL; morphine 2 mg/kg was injected subcutaneously in CM and SM groups; LY335979 20 mg/kg was injected via the caudal vein and morphine 2 mg/kg was injected subcutaneously in group SML.Cumulative pain score was used to evaluate analgesia. Results Compared with group C,cumulative pain scores were significantly decreased in group CM,and no significant change was found in cumulative pain scores in CL and S groups.Compared with group CM,cumulative pain scores were significantly increased in group SM,and no significant change was found in cumulative pain scores in group SML.Cumulative pain scores were significantly lower in group SML than in group SM.Conclusion Cisplatin can weaken analgesia induced by morphine in rats with incisional pain through enhancing P-glycoprotein function in the blood-brain barrier.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the clinical feature and constituent ratio of adult hip fractures in Southwest China.
METHODSThe data of adult inpatients and outpatients with hip fractures treated between January 2010 and December 2011 in 11 hospitals of the Southwest China were collected and analyzed. The data includes gender, age, age distribution and fracture pattern according to AO classification.
RESULTSThere were a total of 2,833 adult hip fractures, including 1,340 (47.30%) males and 1,493 (52.70%) females, with a male-to-female incidence ratio of 1: 1.11 and a mean age of (66±18) years. The highest frequency of hip fractures was seen in the 71 to 85 years age group (42.18%, 1,195/2,833). There were 844 fractures (29.79%) in the young and middle-aged group (16-<60 years) and 1 898 fractures (70.21%) in the geriatric group (≥60 years). Men had a higher rate than women (men: 577 fractures, 68.4%) in the young and middle-aged group, while women had a higher rate than men (women: 1,226 fractures, 61.64%) in the geriatric group, with a significant difference in the sex distribution between the two groups (χ2=214.001, P<0.01). The proportion of intertrochanteric fracture (type 31-A), femoral neck (type 31-B) and femoral head fracture (type 31-C) was 46.59%, 49.74% and 3.67% respectively. The highest frequency of the sub-type in each fracture type was type 31-A2, type 31-B2 and type 31-C2.
CONCLUSIONSWomen have a higher rate than men in Southwest China. Geriatric patients are more than the young and middle-aged patients. The femoral neck fractures, intertrochanteric fractures and femoral head fractures are in descending orders according to the proportion of the three different hip fractures.
