3. 1,5-O-Dicaffeoyl-quinic Acid as a Novel Potential NMDA Receptor Inhibitor from Traditional Chinese Medicine Database by Virtual Screening
Chinese Herbal Medicines 2016;8(4):366-370
Objective Neurodegenerative diseases, such as ischemia, traumatic injury, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease are characterized by neuronal loss and dysfunction. It is known that glutamate-induced toxicity plays an important role in neurodegenerative diseases. Glutamate toxicity seems to be mediated by excessive influx of Ca2+ into neuronal cells through activation of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. To search for potential NMDA receptor inhibitors in traditional Chinese medicine. Methods A series of computer methods including drug-likeness evaluation, ADMET tests as well as molecular docking have been used. Results 1,5-O-dicaffeoyl-quinic acid was identified as NMDA receptor inhibitor by virtual screening. Its neuroprotective activity was further confirmed by in vitro test. 1,5-O-dicaffeoyl-quinic acid showed strong neuroprotection against NMDA-induced cell injury. Conclusion 1,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid may be regarded as a potential NMDA receptor inhibitor for the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1996;0(07):-
To investigate the effect of prostaglandin E_1 (PGE_1) on the liver function following laparotomy, 55 adult patients with normal liver function, undergoing elective laparotomy for gastric cancer under total intravenous anesthesia ,were randomly allocated to receiving intravenous infusion of PGE_1 at rate of 20 to 60ng?kg~(-1). min~(-1)(group PGE_(1,n)=27), or normal saline (group control, n=28 )from the opening of abdomen to the end of operation, respectively. The serum concentrations of glutamin-pyruvic transaminase (GPT)and glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT)were measured postoperatively. The results showed that as compared with the values before the operation, the levels of GPT and GOT increased significantly in both groups on the first postoperative day (P

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(11):1135-1140
In order to understand the research status of HUANG Fu-mi's A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, 83 pieces of literature that have been publically published since 1978 were analyzed. A summary was performed according to 7 aspects including version origin, emendation, arrangement and summary, theory discussion, clinical research, value evaluation, the rest questions, etc. It is believed that deep research work has been done on explanations, emendation and translation regarding A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. However, the exploration work on the theory and application is far from enough. Therefore, beginning from historical and cultural background, we should analyze the humanistic spirit of HUANG Fu-mi combined with A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion to perform a deep exploration, so we could have a thorough and comprehensive research on HUANG Fu-mi's academic thoughts.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(18):-
[Objective]To examine whether collagen scaffold(CS) would strengthen calcium phosphate cement(CPC) in vitro, and to investigate whether CPC enhanced with CS would accelerate the osteogenesis for repairing bone defect in rabbits.[Method] A standard 3-piont flexural test was used to fracture the set specimens and to measure the flexural strength,work-of-fracture(WOF) and elastic modulus of CPC and cpclcs. Both cements were implanted into cylinder cavities drilled in 20 rabbit femoral condyles. After 22 and 54 weeks of implantation, histological observations were performed.[Result]The CS had significant effects on composite of mechanical properties. The CPC/CS had a flexural strength 64.2% higher,WOF 3 933.3% higher, and elastic modulus 45.7% lower than the CPC without CS.At 22 weeks, histological study showed collagen fibers of the CPC/CS composite were entirely resorbed and new bone was formed instead. With unreinforced CPC,there were a little bone formation and biodegradation of cement on the margin but not in the interior of CPC.At 54 weeks, plentiful growing bone and bone marrow-like tissue fully filled in pores created by biodegradation of CPC/CS.Although bone formation and biodegradation of cement were more obvious on the margin of CPC cylinder at 54 weeks than 22 weeks, new bone did not present in the interior of CPC yet.[Conclusion]Collagen scaffold not only reinforces CPC,but also accelerates bone formation in the interior of CPC/CS composite.Therefore,CPC/CS could be novel biomaterial as an endosteal implant.
