[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of Gastritis Prescription Ⅰ(GP Ⅰ, mainly composed of Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Herba Taraxaci, Herba Hedyotis Diffusae, Rhizoma Curcumae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, etc.) in treating chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). [Methods] Sixty cases of CAG were randomized into GP Ⅰ group (group A, n = 30) and multi-enzymes group (group B, n=30) . The two groups were given the corresponding drugs orally for 14 weeks. Symptoms score, serum gastrin (Gas) level and body surface electrogastrogram (EGG) were detected before and after treatment.
