OBJECTIVE Passing through the investigation of disposable syringes use condition, to determine amount of syringes used in the hospital and extent of their contact with blood and body fluids, and to assess their waste polluted condition. METHODS By our hospital computer charge system, from May 1, 2006 to Apr 30, 2007 The used syringes were calculated. RESULTS A total of 923 676 plastic disposable syringes were used; from them 6 801 (0.74%) were contaminated by blood, an other body fluids (urine, gastric secretion, cerebrospinal fluid, and wound drainage) or cells, 16 892 (1.83%) were by anticancer drugs and 160 461(17.37%) were with different injections or contrasts. 739 522(80.06%)were utilized for dilute medicine in i.v. drip. CONCLUSIONS Eighty percent of syringes waste is without pollution, it can be used to regard as recycled resources.

Objective To study more reasonable method of radiation barrier for cervical cancer treated with external radiation. Methods The distance from cervical canals to tumor's margin in x axis was measured by B ultrasonic, around uterus were evaluated by physical examination.and the dose around uterus for patient who used fixed lead brick for radiation barrier when treated with external radiation were calculationed by TPS, in 39 case of cervical cancer treated with external radiation combine with intracavitary irradiation. Pay attention to the lower dose area around uterus. Results It might bring about lower dose area around uterus who used fixed lead brick for radiation barrier when treated with external radiation, and mass might be in above area. Conclusion Cervical cancer treated with external radiation with source axial distance (SAD), and radiation barrier with lead brick individuate may help for to avoid the lower dose area around uterus.

The prevalence of diabetes mellitus in China has recently been increasing year by year, and spontaneous skin ulcers in diabetic patients,as one of the most serious complications, often develop on the patient's extremities represented by foot ulcers.Due to the complexity and variety of its pathogenesis,it leads to poor clinical outcomes and difficulty in healing.Thus,pa-tients often face the risk of amputation and death. Therefore, the exploration of mechanisms of the vascular pathogenesis of diabetic delayed-healing wounds and targeted screening of therapeutic agents has become a current research hotspot.Herein,in this paper,we briefly review the role of impaired angiogenesis and vascular dysfunction in diabetic skin ulcers, and the research progress of classical hypoglycemic and natural compounds against vascular lesions is preliminarily summarized to provide a theoretical basis for effective clinical treatment.
